Yancy was straight out busy as is usual. I was traveling for business and could not be here while he worked. He re-mortared the chimney top, capped it with a steel top, sealed the bricks, and cleaned the chimney. He got the job done on his own schedule which was all right with me. I am very happy with his work and I have passed his name on to a contractor that I work with often, but I know Yancy has all the work he needs. If you understand how busy he is, and will be a little understanding about that, you will be very happy with his work. The workmanship is top notch and he has the certifications to support his work. Chimney work is not something he picked up to make money on the side. Yancy is a high level professional who does great work at a reasonable price. Thank you, Yancy!

We asked Yancey to evaluate and service a chimney on our camp in Warren, Maine. He was very responsive to our request and gave us a very comprehensive review without charge. We hired him to line the chimney and seal the exterior. The work was done well and in a timely manner. We are very pleased. He is a very friendly fellow and easy to work with. Our 100 y/o stone chimney had long been neglected and extensive restoration was needed. This wasn't a quick job and it took almost 4 months from first call to final visit, but I'm extremely satisfied with Yancey's work. He communicated well, gave me different options with explanations of each, broke out his pricing so it was clear, was trustworthy with our property, and certainly worked hard. It wasn't a cheap fix but I wanted a reliable expert to save my chimney & the beloved but vulnerable wood structure around it. Yancey did that, and I recommend him.

These guys are amazing. Very kind and helpful, they were able to diagnose my chimney issues and give me good advice on what to do next. I'm unable to keep this chimney for structural issues, but I'm going to them when I install the new one. You won't be disappointed.

We needed a new chimney liner and after getting no return calls from companies in Brunswick, we found Yancey on Google. He came to the house on a Sunday to inspect the chimney and give us a quote., which was very fair. He scheduled us I n his appointment book (never had a contractor show up with an appointment book before) and returned as promised to do the job. It turned out that the job was more time consuming than initially estimated but the price was not increased. He did a great job and found some brick and waterproofing issues, which he also fixed. We recommend Yancey without hesitation.

We highly recommend Yancey and his services. We were having trouble finding a chimney sweep who could accommodate our schedule...then we called Yancey and he was at our place within 48 hours! He did a stellar job despite the difficult height and pitch of our roof and the several feet of snow still on the ground around the house. We will definitely ask him back the next time our chimney needs servicing.

Yancey promptly return my call and showed up right when he said he would! This after a handful of other chimney services didn't show up or never bothered to return my call. There were some complications once the job was underway and he stayed very late into the evening to finish the job... very happy with the work!

Yancy is great, he's been cleaning our chimney for years! Suddenly, our stove insert was spitting smoke back at us. We texted him and he was able to come out within a couple days (we told him non-emergency). He took it apart and found nothing wrong. He went up on our icy dark roof and found a super-clogged chimney cap. He didn't charge us at all! Just thanked us for the years of service. We look forward to doing business with him for many years to come!

I recently experienced a small chimney fire after having a new liner and stove insert installed by a competing servicer. The competitor, who did not respond until 72 hours after the fire, basically told us that there was no evidence of a fire. Due to this, I no longer felt comfortable using the stove based on his advice. This is particularly troubling when like many Mainers, my stove is my preferred/primary heating source. I called Yancy with Maine Yankee Chimney Services and he was on site within 30 minutes. It is very clear that he has a wealth of knowledge and experience (complete with a degree) in this field. He discovered a fair amount creosote that built up on a ledge inside the base of the chimney that was not cleaned out when it was swept/the liner and insert were installed. He took care in cleaning it all out and inspecting the chimney for damage/faults. I now feel comfortable using my stove again and he will be our go to for all chimney-related services moving forward!

Yancey cleaned my chimney, put a chimney cap on the chimney, water sealed the concrete facing of the chimney and even replaced several shingles that had blown off the roof over the winter. The level of work and the ordering of the cap required a deposit which I was pleased to provide. He came back in a week with the chimney cap and performed all the work (plus some tree removal) in a professional manner. I found this company to reliable, honest and very competent and would highly recommend its services to others.

It is as good as it gets. Maine Yankee Chimney was out to sweep my chimney today. Besides being a really nice guy, he was professional, informative and tidy. My home was left spotless, you would have never known he was here. I will happily recommend his service to you, my family, friends and neighbors.

Maine Yankee Chimney Services has come through for us and all within one phone call. Yancey answered the phone, went to see the chimney, gave us an estimate and commenced with the work, without any issues. The only surprises were from the bricks and the weather but Yancey handled the issues professionally. We recommend him for all chimney work.

Really nice guy. He came in and was really quick amd honest with us. Anything we had a question about he was able to show and thoroughly explain an answer, he gave us facts and not opinions on everything so we could make sure we did everything property. Highly reccomend.

Saturday afternoon, I was cleaning my chimney myself, and lost the chimney brush about 20' up. I called Yancey Sunday morning and by early afternoon, he had fixed everything. Thank you! Next time, I will call Yancey.

I am giving him 5 stars because he is such a great person very friendly talkative and outgoing I will from now on do business with him although he was very late haha but we wasn’t worried much we know how busy it can be thanks so much for stopping by cleaning our chimney and also chatting with us having a laugh keep up the hard work!
