AVOID THIS PLACE!! I had a Buick 350 engine rebuilt by Jean Batteux and it failed after less than 1,000 miles. It was bored .60 over, TA Stage 1 intake, comp cams 260H, pocket ported heads, and 3 angle valve job, etc. It ran great but then it started mixing coolant with the oil. I called Jean and asked him for a refund or warranty on his work and he said "all I can do is look at it". I paid the guy over $4500 and there's no warranty? no refund? So then I have to pay a mechanic to take the engine out of the vehicle so I can take it over to his shop. He then calls me and says that there is a crack in one of the cylinders and that's why it was leaking. He says it will be $1500 to fix. Not even covered under the previous job and its extra. I told him no and that I want the engine back. He says ok but it will be in boxes and disassembled. He didn't even put it back together at least for me. So then I pick up the disassembled engine and take it to another shop for their opinion. They magnaflux the block looking for cracks and they couldn't find anything! But Jean said that it needed a sleeve! Take your engine to another shop this guy is dishonest, and didn't even have the courtesy to wear a mask during this COVID19 pandemic!
