Sumin's Restaurant & Sushi Bar

We ordered from Sumin 's today for the first time. I was blown away by the quality of the food. One of the items that stood out for me was the egg roll, it was the most unusual, unique, and absolutely delicious egg roll I've ever had. I've had egg rolls (I love them) all over western Oregon, California, Washington, Ireland, and the UK, but never had anything as good as this. A must try! House special noodles were just as delicious, as were the pot stickers, caterpillar roll, and the japchae. Overall a lovely foodies experience.

They were very accommodating for vegetarians and made a vegetarian bento for us that was very good. Bibimbap was also very good. The hot and sour soup was a better choice than the salad.

The bulgogi bowl was fantastic, and the sushi roll my wife got was something I hope she orders again and gives me the leftovers. 😄

This place had instantly become one of our favorite restaurants in Coos Bay. We'll definitely be back

I really love the food here they give you a lot of food.. It is a little expensive but it's worth it.. Good quality food you get a lot of meat. I love the fried rice. It has so many different meats and vegetables.. This is a family owned restaurant. The family takes pride in their food and their restaurant. They are very good to their customers. This restaurant is really small.. This is a kid friendly restaurant. The staff is friendly and kind. I will continue coming here Every time We go to Coos Bay. You should really try the teriyaki chicken. It is delicious.. This restaurant is clean and tidy and organized.

This is our favorite food in town. It’s a little pricey but worth it. We always choose the bento box to get a variety of flavors from teriyaki to tempura. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. The foods is always fresh and consistent. Their salad is drowning in a delicious vinegar dressing that will make you drool. Even the lunch menu offers generous portions. The bathrooms are behind the restaurant in a shared back hallway. They’re technically wheelchair accessible but I imagine it would be difficult to navigate as you have to pass by the kitchen in a narrow hallway that’s busy with staff.

Quite literally the best sushi I've ever had. It was fresh, delicate and flavorful. Owner gave us cute lil complimentary servings of broccoli stem in what looked and tasted similar to kimchi brine and cucumber with our appetizers, the waitress was very courteous. Will be returning for certain.

Amazing food! So fresh, serving size is not small on the rolls. Can’t wait to go back for lunch again.

Bathrooms are awkward to find, but the meal and service was excellent!

Came back again and si an update is much needed. The JapChea is off the hook! Best I have EVER had. The noodles are bursting with flavor!!!

These guys are awesome! Great staff, great atmosphere, all food was on point w/ good staff interaction and attentive. And fair prices$$. Thanks Sumin's you guys earned...no you deserve 6 stars, unfortunately there's only 5....I'll be back!!

Yummy tempura banana & green tea ice cream desert topped off a good lunch special. Good service and an variety of options make it a place I want to return to. Too bad I'm just visiting.
In town for a few days and remembered my previous visit 2 years ago and stopped by again for lunch. Happy I did, had a delicious role and udon soup.

I ABSOLUTELY love this sushi place. I think it's the best sushi I have ever had in my life. The workers are very nice and I love the atmosphere. If you want sushi and are in coos Bay I 100% recommend this place.😁🍣

Quality fish and generous portions across the board. The tempura was delicately fried. Overall a lovely experience and I readily recommend this place!

We stopped by here for dinner - they were open till 9 and we were craving something other than the fish & chips restaurants. Definitely glad we did - they have such an array of Asian cuisine. We were feeling the sushi and they serve it fresh.

You can get Beef Pho Noodle Soup, Bento Boxes and Chinese stir-fry here, too. They have specials on weekdays!
Monday’s is a Chicken Teriyaki bowl for $7.
Tuesday, California roll (8 pieces) for $5.
Wednesday, Spicy Pork Bowl for $7.
Thursday, Chicken Katsu with steamed rice and cabbage salad for $8.

Mindy was our waitress and was so friendly. It’s a family restaurant and you feel comfortable being in their hands.

We got a sushi sampler that came with all sorts of fresh fish and a Cali roll in the center. The rainbow roll we got was huge and satisfying. We also got a sashimi sampler that came with a generous amount of 2 slices each - yellow tail, salmon and tuna for $8.

Good selection of Asian imported beer, wine, sake and plum wine. I got the Chardonnay and it was a creeper - light and sweet and I felt wonderful after dinner with one glass, $5. Matt got a large Asahi beer for around $7.

It’s busy around dinner time but clears up by 8PM. Free parking on the streets.

Our favorite "Asian" food spot in Coos Bay. The pho is good. Sushi rolls are AMAZING! We've had tons of stuff on their menu and the Poke Salad is among the best poke I've had off the island.

The service here was amazing I've never been to a sushi place that can get their rolls out so quickly and still looks and tastes fantastic. There are options for everyone especially picky eaters like my husband lol. This is a new favorite for sure and I can't wait to visit again!

Mixed emotions as I ate my dinner... OMG soooo GOOD!.. i was so happy....then...sad...very sad.... because we are just passing through on our way home...4 hours ...away.... why cant you be a little closer? LoL....
