MingFu Chinese & Sushi - Matthews

Haven’t been here in a few years and now I remember it’s really a nice place for lunch.

First of all the atmosphere is lovely. It reminds me of a restaurant I ate in when in Shanghai. The decor is serene and especially the lighting creates an intimate posh feeling atmosphere.

I was surprised their lunch prices have not increased much since Covid. What a bargain! I got the flower chicken with spring roll and it was delicious. The portion was generous! I took home 2/3 of it and had 2 more meals on it. What a bargain.

Only thing negative I can say was there was no TP in the bathroom stall and the tiles look dirty.

The service was good. Our server was cute and concerned about us. Her accent was a little difficult to understand but her heart to help and serve us was evident!

Today I came to Ming Fu with my family and the service was absolutely amazing! As well as the food, it was so good. Fast service as well as good service, great spot in Matthews for anytime of day! 100% recommend!!

A wonderful restaurant located right in the heart of downtown Matthews. Amazing lunch specials and a great atmosphere. Staff was friendly and provided great service. We will definitely be returning!

The food was good. The portions are large. The service was good, but if you ask for napkins, they will bring you one per person. The sweet tea was good. The crab rangoon was delicious. It wasn't like gourmet, more like what most Asian restaurants but not bad.

Oh my goodness! I almost don't want to tell everyone how good this is because either don't want to have to wait for a table ❤

Being from Hawaii.... I am spoiled with GOOD authentic Chinese food! We had a hard time finding good Chinese food here in Charlotte but now we're so happy to have found MingFua ❤❤❤

Since my job is in Matthews I decided to research the restaurants near me and found this gem. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. This order was for pick up but let me just say the restaurant is beautiful! Clean, peaceful atmosphere, spacious and nicely decorated. Food 100/10! This will be my go to from now on.

The meal we ordered was fantastic and had a good deal of variety. My expectations were exceeded. My 4 year old loved the food as well. If your in the area then this is the place to go. Everyone was very friendly and when we needed something they made sure we had it.

Amazing food and great service.
With easy seating and lot of lunch options available during weekdays and weekends, it makes it easier and affordable to dine in even with kids.
Twin delight and kung pao are our personal favorites.

I would give 10 stars if I could. The presentation of sushi was superb, the sushi chef did an amazing work on this piece of art, the fish were fresh, and the price were reasonable. Will definitely be back !

On the side of downtown Matthews stands a little gem. MingFu is not your standard Asian cuisine. The restaurant has a welcoming yet sophisticated vibe. Staff is friendly,prompt and helpful. The sushi has a large fresh selection to pick from. Orange Chicken is my favorite.

I've been a loyal customer of MingFu Matthews for several years now, and I'm delighted to say that the taste of their food remains consistently excellent. Not only is the flavor unchanged, but the prices remain very reasonable, and the portions are always generous. It's reassuring to find a place that maintains its quality over time, and because of this, I'll continue to be a regular patron!!

Ate here for the first time last night. Food was fresh and hot and didn't take long. Everything tasted so good. California rolls were delicious. Server was attentive and polite. The atmosphere is really nice and calming and felt cozy. They were packed for a Tuesday night. We'll be back!

Absolutely delighted by my recent visit to Ming Fu Matthews! This gem of a spot boasts a wide-ranging menu that splendidly caters to all tastes. I've indulged in both their Chinese offerings and sushi, and I'm thoroughly impressed by the excellence across the board. Will definitely visit again!!

The food was pretty decent and the staff was very friendly. We received our food not 5 minutes after ordering it. Overall, I’d recommend giving this place a try.

Food was delicious. We had for appetizers the Crab Ragoons and they were the best we have ever had. For Entrée we had Chicken LO Mein with garden salad and Super California with Wonton Soup. Both main dishes and side were AMAZING!! We are definitely coming back .

Can't get enough of MingFu Restaurant, it's always my go-to spot! I recently discovered their $10 loyalty card and it's absolutely incredible - you get 10 free salads or soups! Every visit confirms why I love this place; the food is consistently great. This loyalty card just adds to the many reasons MingFu remains my favorite. Trust me, this loyalty card worth every penny! Can’t wait to try all the free soup options! ！

This place was amazing. While it is a little expensive I would highly recommend it, and will be coming back.

The crispy duck with chicken fried rice I ordered was so good, and the portion size was huge.

My girlfriend had vegetable sushi she said it was OK but a little too crunchy for her due to the carrot. She did order a second roll with just avacido and cream cheese, she like this one much more.

The atmosphere here is upscale. I would have felt out of place in shorts and a T-shirt.

Waiter was wonderful. Very attentive and very polite. Had sushi. Food was good. There was a large group in the back and they were noisy. The sound carried which was distracting.

04/27/2024 Returned for lunch today. The waitress was very nice and very helpful. The food came quickly and was very good. No groups today. It was a great dining experience.

Today friend to lunch for her birthday today and she recommended Ming fu. It was my first visit. Service was great, food was excellent and a very pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend!
