Westfair Fish & Chips

Fantastic food. You could drive right by and not even know this place was there as it’s kind of set back from the road a bit. Once you’re in and have hopefully found a parking spot, you’ll enter the very unassuming seafood spot. They have a great base menu with specials written onto their blackboard right next to where you order. We tried a variety of dishes, clam strips, steamed little necks, a stuffed clam and crab cake. The food was as very fresh and delicious. The clam strips weren’t the little bits of clam you get served at a lot of other places but good meaty chunks and fried to perfection. You can tell the oil was at the perfect temperature and changed regularly as the strips weren’t greasy at all. The clams were delicious, as were the stuffed clam and crab cake, with a generous amount of meat in each. The prices were also very reasonable and the staff were very friendly. This is a place I look forward to returning to in the near future. A hidden gem.

Excellent fried cod sandwich, fresh coleslaw. Side of pasta salad only $1. Fantastic little place, set back off the road, you need to be looking for it. Cash only, worth a stop.

This little restaurant is probably also specialized in take-away. The room is for 8-10 people. The dishes are all very tempting. Our Fish & Chips, Fried shrimp, the lobster roll and especially the steamed lobster dinner were just stunning delicious. Some time you should allow. It is just all made fresh on demand.

Very delicious fish, fried or broiled, with generous and excellent tartar sauce. A great local spot that's considerably less expensive than dining on the shore.

This place is a diamond in the rough, a hidden gem. This mostly take out restaurant with a 6+ tables is excellent for fried seafood. My son and I started out with a cup of clam chowder that was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, it was so good that we order 2 quarts for take out... We both had fried shrimp plates, they were good size (NOT small) and cooked to perfection. The are in the back of 1781 E Post Road and they only take cash... IT WAS A GREAT MEAL!!!

I've been going here for over 20 years sorry I didn't take any photos. The seafood is fresh fried to perfection. They have everything you need fried baked or steamed. Try it out I promise you won't be disappointed.

When I tell you the fish cakes taste just like it did when I was a kid. Excellent! Well done guys 💪🏾

Reasonably priced fresh seafood well prepared.

Each fish, clam, shrimp, calimari that we had tasted very good. Tarter sauce had a nice dill flavor and coleslaw was well made though a small portion. Their soups taste very good but are a little sparse on the named ingredient. I'm not taking any stars though because again great taste and price.

The staff were friendly and this is obviously a favorite with the locals who were also friendly and praising the location.

Amazing. Not too oily. Not too crunchy where it ruins the enjoyment. Cocktail sauce is delicious. All of his signs are funny and let you know the kind of place you’re in. We loved it!

“Hole-in-the-wall” seafood joint that delivers exactly what you’re after. We did a series of side-order baskets—fish, clams and shrimp—that were absolutely top notch. Will be back!

Excellent soft shelled crab sandwich, great whole bellies and fish and chips. Good coleslaw. Cash only, plastic silverware and paper plates. In a strip mall, don't judge a book by the cover!

Best lobster roll and fish and chips ever. The Lobster Roll is packed full with lobster claw meat (at least four generous claws). Their onion rings are one of a kind.

Met my brother here for lunch and the lobster bisque was delicious, like 🤤
Next time, I'm getting the seafood bisque.
I ordered the mussels too and they were great as well. It is cash only, and I thoroughly enjoy that part, because it felt very much like they docked and brought the seafood haul off the boat and right to the kitchen. I'll be back for sure.

WOW, What a hidden Gem!
I could eat 100 lbs of their onion rings in one sitting. The specials they offer always look phenomenal. Seafood lovers in the westport area, dont allow yourself to miss this place !

New to the area and I wanted to try some good Fish and Chips so someone recommended Westfair Fish and Chips. I got the fried Fish and Shrimp which was so fresh and fried to perfection. The shrimp was so juicy with every bite that it just exploded with flavor. You have to get the coleaslaw is creamy and crunchy. But what has me ordering a quart of it when I go is the Clam Chowder. It's like you can taste the Ocean and freshness of the clams and it's seasoned just right.

The best lobster roll ever! We were in the area and went here based on other reviews. It is as casual as it gets; picnic tables outside. it's 100% about fresh delicious perfectly prepared seafood. We has a big bowl of steamers which were super fresh. We both had the lobster roll. It was filled with large chunks of perfectly prepared lobster on lightly toasted buttered hot dog buns. The bar for lobster rolls has been raised to a new level.

I don't normally go in for seafood —at least not the cooked kind— but I'm glad I gave them a shot.

I ended up ordering some fried clam strips, a Rhode Island clam chowder —they also had Manhattan and New England versions available, if that's more your style— and a blondie, for desert. All three items were extremely good. The blondie, for some reason, stood out to me as particularly moist and tasty, which isnt something I'd have expected from such a generic item, outside of an actual bakery.

I got my order to go, but while I was there, the ambience was pleasant and the staff friendly.

With all of that said, I do have one important warning for any would be diners: bring cash. They don't accept credit cards, nor do they have an ATM on premise. They were happy enough to take my order, and start working on it, while I went off to get some more money to pay them, but it's still better to have it on you before hand.

Best Lobster Rolls and seafood selection in the Westport Area and beyond. Their Connecticut lobster roll is the best that I've ever had. Served hot with a very generous portion of lobster - you have to come here for yourself and try it.
