Brunswick Boat Ramp

Perfect place to go tubing with your own tubes. Very nice area to park. It does fill up fast but the train station is also right near with a lot of parking. We went around 2 on a Sunday and had no problem parking at the boat ramp. If you have 2 cars park one at the Brunswick campground for about a 40 minute float or at the boat ramp in Lander for about a 2-3 hour float. This is a flat water float. Slow and calm. It is free public parking here and at the Brunswick campground which I plan to stay at soon! Very nice people and place. But there are about 10 free public parking spaces near the camp store, but if they are full then you can pay $5 to park in their lot during weekdays and $10 on weekends for the day. Just go in the camp store to ask for help. River and Trail owns the campground and they have a lot of great options also for rentals or for extreme adventures such as white water rafting which we look forward to trying soon.

Super easy water (Potomac River- should be obvious, but still) as well as C&O access from the outer lot.
Enough spaces down at the boatramp, but even if it's full, it's not difficult to drop off and park in the outer lot.

Busy but ideal for a family visit. Also, there is a tow path nearby to walk or bike with river access away from the bridge.

Great place to get into the Potomac. I recommend doing 2 cars: one in Brunswick and a second one in point of rocks. Takes 3-4 hours depending on your pace. Great day to paddle or float down the river.
Warming: the gps takes you to an incorrect location ( by the bridge). The ramp is UNDER the bridge but you have to go around downtown to get to it. I submitted a Google map correction but has not been accepted yet.

No hill to climb. I can put my raft in my Jeep without having to carry it up a hill

Love parking here for quick runs or biking on the canal. Public bathroom is always relatively clean and generally has TP. Lots of parking for shorter boat trailers.

There is a large parking lot here, and an inlet for boats. If you’re tubing, I recommend parking here, then walking down the trail a few feet, down river. Easier to get in and out because there’s no current in the canal.

Great place to go and enjoy the river. Kids love it! This town is a great place to help you slow life down in our endless hustle and bustle.
