Boxcar Burgers

My favorite burger place in the region. From basic to eclectic there is something for everyone. They have burgers and dogs, ice cream, chicken type foods. We like to bike ride along the C&O canal then ruin all our burned calories coming here. It's worth it, don't worry.

Plenty of food for kids too.

The perfect little hidden gem! Our meal and experience was amazing. The onion ring sauce was exquisite... I'd drink it! As we went to thank them for the amazing meal, another table (also first timers) were doing the same thing. There words were... "best burger of my life" & "who knew pickled beets belonged on a burger". A true testament that the quality and deliciousness wasn't a fluke. We will now be regulars.

Got the cheese fries and fred Co burger. Hot and fresh!!! The fries were spot on and the best part is they were super fresh, hot and crispy even with the toppings. Excellent choice. The burger was perfectly cooked and topping were super fresh. The staff was super friendly and food was ready quickly! Highly recommend!

So disclaimer: my family and I dined via their food truck at Wheatland Springs brewery not their brick and mortar location.

But holy cow they make some good food. My dad and I had burgers and hotdogs while my mom sprouts and chicken tenders. I hardly had time to get pictures before we finished eating.

The staff in the truck were super kind and so incredibly friendly. They even delivered food to the table instead of having you go get it and roamed around the grounds offering to help people clean up their trash from the meals.

Really glad they were the food truck option and would love to cross paths with them again!

The burger I had from Boxcar was easily the best I've had in a long time. Everything from the toasted bun, fresh seasoned ground beef, and crisp topping was executed perfectly. At $15 for a BYO burger, fries, and a RC cola, I thought it was an incredible value. Convenient location in downtown Brunswick right off the C&O towpath. Plenty of outlets if you need a quick recharge for your devices.

Me and my fiance stopped by boxcar burgers on the way home from Harper's Ferry WV. From the moment we walked in we felt very welcomed as the young lady that took our order couldn't be more friendly. We ordered the rodeo fries and 2 boxcar burgers. They were hands down the best burgers I think we've ever eaten. And the rodeo fries were amazing. We don't live exactly around the corner but we will definitely be making the hour and 15 minute drive out to your restaurant again very soon. There was another couple that we met there and it was there first time visiting boxcar burgers also. I think they raved about the burgers and the onion ring sauce. I guess I'll be trying that next time I visit. So I can say that Boxcar burgers gained atleast 2 new customers today. Great little establishment. Keep up the good work......

Had food truck @ Waredaca Brewery. Honestly the best burger I've had in a long time. Boxcar sauce = A+, delicious pickles, cooked medium rare 💕 Fries were nothing "special" but really well executed. Chicken tenders for my son were moist and well flavored, best we've had in a long time. Friendly folks inside the truck. Really, really good!

My wife and I ordered two Boxcar burgers from their food truck on a very busy Mother’s Day at Wheatland Springs Brewery in Loudoun County. All I can say is Wow…best burger I’ve had in quite awhile. The pickled beets were an unexpected and tasty addition to the burger. Service was pretty fast too considering the hundreds of people enjoying the day there. Will definitely keep an eye out for the truck or cross the river to check out the restaurant!

Boxcar is always on point with the burgers. We live in Frederick ( which recently closed this location) but we love this place and the food so much that we drive to Brunswick location weekly to get our fix. Never disappoints and staff is always friendly. Wife does not eat beef but says the impossible burger is an amazing alternative for her. Give them a try, you will not be sorry you did!

Very nice little place. Menu may have been limited during the pandemic. We got takeout--a couple burgers which were great, grilled cheese which my daughter loved, and some fantastic cheese fries. This is a really nice place that I would recommend everyone check out if they're in Brunswick.

I had the sprouts and loved them! My wife had the boxcar burger and gave it her seal of approval.

Stopped I. For a quick bit, burger was quite tasty fresh ingredients, very unique flavor comes from beets, which I was surprised and did not think it was going to work, but adds a very unique flavor.

I come there often when I’m in Brunswick. Great service, food and prices considering the value you get. I love the option to have pickled beets on the hamburger!

This place is a gem. Very fast service for take out orders. Great service. Great food. Fantastic burgers. I highly recommend the Key City Mambo Sprouts. It's a very short drive from Lovettsville too!

Tried for the first time on Friday 3/8/24. Grilled burger and teriyaki chicken sandwiches were both hearty and delish! A happy surprise was finding maple walnut ice cream at the counter which I indulged in while waiting for our carry- out offer. But the really big surprise was the option for grilled brussel sprouts with pecans. They were AMAZING. We will be back, even if just for those sweet, tangy brussel sprouts! Warning, could be habit forming!

Went in this evening for a burger, onion rings, and a shake. I decided to change things up and try the Chimi Chimi Chicken with an extra piece of chicken. That was better than any double cheeseburger or chicken sandwich that I have had in my life! Please, keep the Chimi Chimi Chicken on the menu permanently cause that is gonna be my new go-to! Not to mention, the service was top notch! Add that all together, and you get an amazing place to eat and enjoy! I can’t wait to go back!

Excuse my bitten chicken tender and beets, but burger was yummy and Brussels sprouts could’ve been better but regardless overall 5/5. Big selection of beers and soda pop!

Grass fed beef burgers cooked to perfection.
They also put beets on some of their burgers, which to me is a pleasant surprise (not so much for my wife, but that just means more beets for me).

They’re still do not have the dinning room open, so it’s window/sidewalk service only.

This is a great stop off along the Potomac bike trail, or if you’re passing through for a hike up the Weverton Cliffs.

Service is fast, fun and easy.

They also have great quality and variety of homemade ice cream.

We make it a point to stop in every time we pass through.

Had the Hans Gruber (a special) this time. fresh pretzel bun, beer cheese, sauerkraut …. So delicious.
