Mizu Japanese Restaurant

Our favorite hibachi restaurant!!! The food is always delicious, service is good and pretty quick also. I have a dairy allergy so they consistently make my meal separately in the back without any butter and it always tastes great. There are 2 sides to the restaurant: the side with hibachi tables and the restaurant side with regular tables. We have dined here many, many times and both sides are just as good. We also order for pickup and food is still warm when we arrive home. If you want the show, sit at the hibachi table. If you want to chat a bit more and face everyone in your party, opt for the restaurant side. Hibachi dinner comes with soup, salad, your entree, mixed vegetables, white rice and ice cream. I always "upgrade" my white rice to fried rice. It's the best! It only costs a few dollars and it's worth it. For dinner, I either get the hibachi chicken & steak combo or the hibachi filet mignon. Dinner portions are generous so I always have leftovers. Lunch portions are good also. Thank you, Mizu staff! We will be back again soon!

Went there for Valentines Day. They are so attentive and the food is so fresh. They gave the Ladies a beautiful Rose and a homemade one u can have forever. So sweet.

Love the ambience and decor. It's fascinating from floor to ceiling. Staffs are extremely friendly and kind and the bosses always honest about what to order!

I came here several times and the food is really good. The hibachi fried rice and yellowtail sashimi is amazing. They also have a sushi boat which is really cool. Service is excellent.

The kids love the experience just as much as the adults do. Love the food here, both the hibachi and the sushi is always delicious and satisfying.

Before I came into the restaurant, I’ll be honest - I didn’t think it would be that good based on the reviews. But when the steak was dropped onto my plate by the chef, I learned not to judge a restaurant by its cover! Amazing (and funny) chef, great food and sauces! Definitely recommend.

Bought a $65 family tray. Sushi and sashimi were so fresh and tasty. Rice is perfect. They didnt fall apart . Eveything was great. Deffinetly will buy again.

Great sushi, great service, great prices. I feel that *those* who left poor reviews were inflexible when certain items were unavailable - this is normal at a restaurant, and proves that the restaurant will only provide what they have freshly available. Green flag. Truly nothing to complain about that should compromise Mizu’s rating - excellent rolls, soups, and salads!

Food is great! I love seeing them make it in front of you. I enjoy coming here may be 1 a month or every other month. Sometimes delivery is a bit longer then it should be but the food brings it back to a 5 star!

I have eaten at over 20 different sushi restaurants in the tri state area, and with my experience here I must say it is in fact THE best and freshest sushi I have ever eaten. The place is very aesthetically pleasing, waiters pay close attention to you, and sitting at the sushi bar always warrants you an extra little unique dish on the house. I love this place and recommend it to anyone who loves sushi and even those who want to have a great first experience.

Took my wife here for Valentine's Day.. The service was great.. The host and waitress were both kind and polite.. The food was pretty good and got to us in a timely fashion.. And afterwards they gave here a single stem rose as a gift.. Will be coming back to this place more often than not

Mizu is very good but some things wrong. This is just me but I get full pretty quick so I don’t eat as much but they do give a big portion sometimes and most of the chefs were energetic except one who almost didn’t even look at us but I enjoyed the food. Would recommend with family 👍👍

We had an amazing time there. The food was delicious and the staff was super helpful. We celebrated our daughter's birthday and everything was fantastic.

Food is always great. If you have a food allergy they accommodate it. Owner always remembers you when you come back. Been going there for years. My son loves it. Favorite place to eat.

Best sushi on Staten Island by far, and it’s not more expensive than most other sushi spots. Fish is so fresh, everything’s perfect. I’m never getting sushi at avacado again.

I love this place the hibachi is great.and the people are very nice .I also got green tea ice cream it is delicious .I ordered the hibachi salmon and my dad ordered the hibachi steak.It was great,the texture and the food was great and I also had ginger sauce with my food .I would definently recommend this place it is great.

Place is amazing. Love their chocolate Martinis. Their Hitachi and sushi is delicious. The staff is very friendly too
