Great dining experience on the square in Mason City. We had the filet and salmon dinners and both were delicious- highly recommend. They have table/booth options in a well lit space with large windows overlooking the square. There is a special chefs table seating option which we look forward to trying in the future. Great date night option for dinner or hanging out at the bar for a cocktail.

The dude at front desk was wearing a mask and not overly helpful. We had plans to meet at the Draftsman with our happy camper birthday group but we’re told the barkeep was out sick so our dinner reservations were for 5:30 but told you don’t need reservations and that if you do have reservations you will not get confirmation of that. Strange.. anyhoo the inside is extremely beautiful and all the appetizers were exquisite. Grace a newbie was extremely professional and made our evening 5 star.

My wife and I stopped through here and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The Gnudi Alla Gricia is a must-have as far as appetizers here go. It was scrumptious and unexpected! I wanted the Beef Wellington (sad face) but they had just sold the last one so I settled on a T-bone which was excellent. The side of whipped potato and Brussel sprouts was a perfect accompaniment. My wife got the fish (trout I think) which was also perfectly cooked. Finally, the warm chocolate chip brownie was the perfect sweet finish.

July 2023:
They said there are a couple weeks into a new chef. Our dinner (a year after the first review) was still 5-star excellent! The Duck Wontons for an appetizer were a pleasant burst of flavor. The Tavern Burger, Linguini Scampi and Sea Bass were excellent!

The 5 of us had never been to this restaurant before. The drinks, appetizers, meals and desserts were so good!!!
Our waitress was so nice and attentive. The cooks were great and we enjoyed talking with them.
You definitely need to try this place. It’s definitely #1 on our list!!!

I am relieved that any negative reviews I read from before did not ring true when my friend and I went today for brunch. I got steak and eggs and she got stuffed French toast. Both were perfect, and the service was lovely as well. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Mason City. Beautiful hotel, nice people!

We ate outside on the plaza, loved the outside seating. Food was good. Service was great. Some items seem a bit overpriced but we liked the food we had.

My stuffed French toast was amazing. it was very hard to figure out what to order. I there was some many option that sounded great. What to try ?? 🤔 I will definitely be back. My friends loved the truffle fries they must have been good cause there was no sharing

Great food. The lobster Mac and cheese is amazing. The service is outstanding, very friendly and attentive. It has a great atmosphere.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at Markley and Blythe. Chris and his staff went above and beyond to make our evening so special.
We are so happy to see this icon of a building thriving.

Wow! We rarely eat out anymore because we are usually disappointed. The entire meal was exceptional. The charcuterie board was beautiful and included what tasted like homemade crackers, the cheese was amazing and we loved the pickled green beans and onions. Drinks were perfect- old fashioned and Negroni. They were served in large, sturdy glasses and were not watered down. Our entree was the special- pork chop, brussel sprouts and potatoes. We split the entree and it was plenty for us to share. We also ordered the potato rolls which came out warm on a butter board- you MUST order these. Garlic, sweet and salt - and rolls that melt in your mouth. Ended with pecan hand pies. Huge compliments to the chef. We’ll recommend to all of our Mason City friends. Riley was our server and she was lovely. Thanks for a wonderful end to a long day!

I highly recommend this new restaurant in the Historic Park Inn! Our food was perfection, the service and attentiveness was wonderful! We were extremely pleased that Chef Worley is using Iowa sustainable foods in his dishes. We had the ravioli, and the mushroom risotto. We shared delicious brussel sprouts! My husband was ecstatic over the gluten free dessert options. I tried his apple pie and was blown away by the tasty crust! We are definitely headed back! Next time I'm trying the smash burger.... looks delicious!

If you have not been into the new Park Inn Hotel restaurant, it is a MUST VISIT. Extremely thoughtful menu with use of multiple local ingredients. Very generous portions. The pork chop was unlike any other! And the brussel sprouts were to die for. Already looking forward to our next trip in!

Had Brunch here. Delicious coffee and server was excellent at keeping it warmed up. Very knowledgeable about the menu and food was amazing! And came out very quick. Will be back to see Kat-ey soon!!!

What could be better than excellent steak and chops? Excellent Tomahawk Pork Chop. Well seasoned and juicy rather than dry. Will be back again!

Went there tonight and had great food and service! Have not had something I haven’t liked yet! Every dish I saw come out looked AMAZING, and when I got mine I was thoroughly impressed. Highly recommend.
