Please if possible bring back the old format with side dance floor open. Maybe add 2 DJs Reggaton in front and Hip Hop in the side area, just a thought, But I love this spot regardless. Always a fun Friday and Saturday. Hip Hop dj plays the hits. Decent looking young crowd, affordable drinks and the dance floor is always packed. Security is very nice. Thor and Aurora are great door people

I went here on my birthday and for Thursday karaoke and it is so much fun!
They fixed the lock in the men's bathroom, definitely one of my favorite bars to go to.

Great bar, it has great music and becomes a night club at 10:00p

Showed up on open Mike night during Halloween weekend. Was a blast and had a great time. Bartender was very nice and made awesome drinks. Loved their t-shirt logo and even bought one as a souvenir. They do not serve food, but a great place for drinks! A visitor to the area and the place was recommended by the hotel staff and we were not disappointed!

The roaring donkey is a great bar with a great vibe, the weekly open is a fun way to see local performers getting better at their craft, audience members have chances to win free drinks with fun drawing games.

The monthly standup comedy show is a cant miss event that brings the best comedians in the bay for this free show, so you can laugh and spend your money on drinks.

So you have to come by the roaring donkey.

The bartender was very cooperative with my indecisiveness and ended up making me 2 great new drinks.

Excellent drink menu and atmosphere! Can get crowded, but for a reason. Brian Murphy was my bartender and he was just a dream. Knowledgeable, quick and warm. The other bartenders are also excellent, but he really stood out to me.

Also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was also delightful. A really quirky, generous guy. Hope this place lasts 😊

They have a pool table, darts and shuffle board that are really fun to play. They have live music and dancing some nights. This is a fun bar to get drinks at, play games or dance. They also have trivia on Tuesday night that is run by the owner and is really fun. The owner is very entertaining and you can go to trivia just to listen to his jokes. They also throw out freebies at trivia. We got girl scout cookies once!

Great for 2000s pop and r&b music. Some early electronic music. Love the vibes here on Saturdays!

Great staff and atmosphere. Seems to cater to a younger crowd, except for Trivia Night on Tuesdays. Pool table, shuffle board, and darts; everything a pub needs.
P. S. Dog friendly with a watering station for your furry friend. (water, no beer for the dogs unless they are over 21)

My local favortite watering hole. Fun and creative mules with various liquors. I am a Gin Gin Mule gal. Pool table, shuffleboard, and darts! They also have great events going on almost every night. Trivia, open mic, bands, tastings, etc. Weekends are a little insane as they are right downtown. But this is my go to place for going out, and I highly recommend it.

Love this place, great cocktails, really involved in the community. Great selection of beer. Fun trivia night. I prefer weekdays or nights as I'm in 30's... More of a younger party crowd on weekends

Go to bar in downtown Petaluma for all ages. Dog and food friendly, warm atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. Owners there daily. Known for there long list of Moscow mule variations that change regularly. Infused vodkas made in-house for said mules. Over twenty beers on tap, continually rotating selection. Events hosted in the back room or "Blue Room" include rented out birthdays, weekly trivia, open mic nights and generally multiple live performances aside from open mic every week (no cover usually for live performances).

Had a great time. Good beer and liquor selection. Superior service.

Came in looking for respite from the heat wave. The bar was relatively cool and dark. Lots of local brews on tap, most skewed toward hoppy, high ABV IPAs. Jameson on tap too! If you like dives, this place will suit you.

Great selection of local draft and bottles, plus respectable wine list AND great cocktails. Also dog friendly! Really great venue to watch the game or chill with friends.

What a fun bar! We were visiting from out of town and Natasha was so welcoming and kind. Highly recommend this bar if you’re looking to grab a drink in Petaluma.

We like the Roaring Donkey mainly for the bluegrass music they host. Today Laurie Lewis, Tom Rozum, Brandon Godman, and Keith Little played in the Blue Room--it was spectacular!!

They offer great beer and currently have a on going comedy night every Wednesday that starts at 9pm. Will be back!
