Thanks so much for letting me pick up my package at the store after your closing. With 95 degree weather in the coming days I know my vinyl records would have been warped! Especial thanks goes to 'Michael' for working with me on the phone to find the package less than 5 minutes before close. Great job and glad to be a member of a Great Little Town!

I walk using a walker so the first thing I notice about a business is if the door or doors are heavy or lite and kudos goes to this United States Post Office because their doors were nice and lite to go through. The place was closed but it was medium sized and clean and it had plenty of Po Boxes.

Either mail is missing and never shows up (Informed Delivery) or you have to go check the PO Box several times to get your mail.

I wish I could actually get my packages during the week :( I work m-f and can't get my packages because I can't receive mail at my house and the post office is closed when I'm not at work.... and for some stupid reason my packages are never in the package boxes:/ so upsetting.

Nice workers, but if you wouldn't mind please start putting our neighbors mail in their box, not ours. Thank you!

I just need to share ..I really support hard workers ..however when you have someone from the post office literally drive into my driveway ..where my garbage cans are sitting out.. to be picked up ..today by Waste Management... and you find the postal worker putting my packages on the top of the garbage cans!!! YEP!!!! Too lazy to get out of his car ..all this on my cameras....you really go to a disgusting low level.
Then when I call and speak to the boss that this might not be the sharpest decision by this male post man.. and he tells you as long as it was put on your property ..nothing wrong done here ..Its ok to have my packages chucked in the trash ..I mean ..I said my garbage is due for pickup any time..you really do kind of reach an all time low and absolute laziness.
FACT: SOME OF THE WORKERS DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR MAIL OR PACKAGES... Just want to be clear about this .
This is what we have come to in this country and in our town.
You really need to do better.. it's called a WORK ETHIC! Something my parents raised me with.

I will say this.. Our regular post woman is absolutely fabulous ..she would NEVER do that to us ..I really appreciate her hard work 🙏

This is the most confusing post office I’ve ever dealt with. Constantly sending back my deliveries and I only live five houses down the road they don’t have enough people working there or they keep changing people and the training is bad or I don’t know what’s the matter but I’m tired of not getting my parcels, somebody Hass to do something

This is a new review June 18, 2022:

Package left on top of our mailbox in the rain off and on (with tornado warnings) at end of short driveway, when the front porch of our place is evident easily accessible with turnaround, and that is where usually we have our packages left.

This is a contract person for the Carlton Post Office, but that is no excuse, they come out of Dayton or local surrounding areas. They receive a salary for doing a good job.

This is the 2nd time this has happened, and another time someone else was stopped at our mailbox when we came down the road, and they drove off.

This is very poor service from the United States Postal Service, and these are federal employees.
Amazon I'm sure pays postal service well to deliver packages for them.

I will complain again, and draft a letter. I had rather get the package Monday from the Post Office, than to have such poor service on the weekends.

It makes one feel a little helpless in this day and age.

FYI
Tuesday, October 19
11:12 AM
Delivery attempted, but mailbox was full.

7:42 AM
Package is out for delivery.

7:31 AM
Package arrived at a carrier facility.

Carrier received the package.

5:32 AM
Package transferred to another carrier for delivery.
Carlton, OR US
2:56 AM
Package left the carrier facility.
Hillsboro, OR US

The above package is 2 one gallon containers fruit fly spray.
Of course, it won't go in our mailbox.
The mailbox was not full, but the package needed to be delivered to our front porch down a short driveway and visible/evident, as Amazon had promised, and contracts USPS.

I understand that there's lots of new employees, but this is scary stuff, it's federal business.

FYI
Deliveries seem to be a challenge and I can understand, but Amazon expects delivery, especially when the customer has been reassured it would arrive.
We received a message "they could not make contact" when we were here, in and out all day, and they usually leave on front porch, yet they left our smaller package in the mailbox.
We know they were here. Occasionally, someone else delivers, hopefully will be the case.

If the carrier forgot to pick up the package, we would understand, but this is deceitful to say could not make contact and mailbox is full, they need another comment,if forgot to pick up at post office, or Could not handle package.

Delivery folks are pleasant, especially our carrier, who is always great, but part-time folks fill in. We pay for fast delivery from Amazon, and then do not always get it.

We appreciate the effort that most make at USPS.
