Segar's Legacy Event Center and Restaurant

Highly recommended this place. Every Sunday that I’m off i call in for 2 or more dinners. Haven’t been disappointed yet.

A heartfelt Thank You to the "Segar Family" for hosting an Anniversary celebration for us at Segar's Legacy Event Center . The food was delicious, environment was festive and inviting, and more than accomodating to our needs for the evening.❤‍🩹

Some of the best fried chicken and greens I've had in a long time. Reasonably priced meals and friendly staff. We received service in no time. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I went for a repast after a funeral for one of my coworkers. Food and service was absolutely amazing. 10/10 would definitely try again. The atmosphere is very nice too.

I loved the place very clean decorated still from Christmas .I went wow when I walked in .Food was like home .Grandmas house expert waiter who was at our back and call and very very polite .Social distancing in place excellent dessert hot meal

When I tell ya, ya got to stop by, wear some loose clothes and be prepared to be stuffed. If ya love pig feet, you will be in for a pleasant surprise. Soul food at its best. Service may be a little slow based on demand and the amount of guest there, but other than that enjoy it.

Once again- another fabulous dinner at Segar's Legacy Event Center- best fried chicken ever. But MORE importantly- we wandered in here a few minutes after they closed, not realizing what closing time was on Sundays (6pm). We were graciously seated, taken care of like we were family, and when we offered to get our meal to go were told to "Sit down and relax!!" So we did. Each and every time we've been here, we've been treated with such care with NO exceptions. Good food is great, but having great staff and super owners make all the difference!

The entire experience was wonderful! When you first walked through the door, the staff greeted you and made you feel at home. They kept checking on you to make sure you had everything you needed or wanted. The food was absolutely amazing!!! It was so much food. There was soft music in the background to make it even more enjoyable. The prices are great. I definitely will be going back! Whether it’s a family dinner, a girl’s night, or date night...this is the spot!! You will not be disappointed!

We recently moved to Tappahannock and like to find restaurants for ourselves to see if we like it. We pass Segar's every time we go into town. We grabbed our best friends and told them to meet us there. OMG! The food is absolutely awesome! We got different platters just to taste test everything. There wasn't one bad thing we could say. Fried Flounder took me back to my years living at home and every Friday we went out for Flounder night. This tasted the exact same as I remembered, maybe even better! And the fried chicken was moist and juicy. We might make Segar's our new Saturday night dinner place. Atmosphere was good and our waiter Mike was great 👍. As normal, we tipped him very well.. I look forward until next Saturday. We highly suggest Segar's to anyone. We're happy we found this restaurant! Just awesome 👌

This is a portrayal of Essex County Virginia as its finest! The establishment is oriented with a friendly country ambiance. Fast and homemade food that is delicious. My fried chicken was crispy, juicy and perfectly seasoned.

The Crab feast on Saturday was one of the best. Plenty of good food ,crabs,music and fun.My family and I really enjoyed it.If you are looking for a nice place to dine and relax with good Soul food ,Drop by Segar's Restaurant and lounge you won't regret it.

This place just sparkled when I walked in . I found out they do disinfectant between customers & all wear masks. Loved all 4 meals we bought there for carryout. Even tho I do not love Old Bay Seasoning (I know, very rare) I did like their Crab Supreme dinner very much & their Crispy Chicken is to die for! Definitely going to reorder carryout!

The absolute best food and service you could ask for. Everyone is friendly and ready to serve you as soon as you walk in. Fried chicken, mac n cheese, rice or corn pudding..... Really everything is delicious and tastes home made with love. Highly recommend!

Great food. Got the smothered pork chop and it was perfect and so huge. Rolls are to die for. Staff are so pleasant. Will definitely visit again. The cakes taste as good as they look 🍰

We ate there for the first time last night and the food was delicious. It's down home country cooking that's hard to find. The portions sizes are large and prices are reasonable.

This was my husband and I first visit at Seagar's. The food was DELICIOUS and the service was EXCELLENT!
