Los Portales Mexican Restaurant

Went out with friends after church! It was pretty good!! The staff was friendly towards us even tho they were busy! It was a bit slow waiting for our stuff, but that was probably from being there around 12 on a Sunday! I had the Fajita Nachos on the appetizers as I wasn't that hungry, but the portion size was huge! I was expecting much smaller and was sad we had a long drive ahead and couldn't take it with me. Overall, definitely recommend for some decent Mexican food!

Great food after a long day of duck hunting. Could not have asked for better service. Food came very quickly, and was much more than I was expecting for the price. They brought us chips choice.

Fast and delicious as always. Very friendly waitress. The Chori Pollo is my favorite.

Our party of five enjoyed our meal. My favorite dish is Camarones Cancun. Two of us ordered that dish and are always satisfied. There was enough to bring home for another meal. When we make the trip from Richmond to Tappahannock, we frequently stop by for take out at the drive thru. We have always been satisfied.

It was my first visit to this restaurant on Monday evening.
It was very clean, and the atmosphere was very nice. We were seated right away-and presented with the salsa and chips. They had a nice selection of beer and it was nice and cold.
The server was nice and friendly and very good at their job.
There were so many nice things on the menu to choose from, but we decided on the crazy burrito I was allowed to customize it to our liking. The food was very good. The people were very friendly and we will certainly be making a return trip here.

A truly wonderful experience. The staff were so kind and helpful I was actually stunned. I'm almost at a loss for words. We were celebrating my fiancee's son's 23rd birthday and the staff made the event so magical, I will never forget it...none of our family will. The staff were so attentive, thoughtful and accommodating. They helped us really relax and enjoy ourselves. We made amazing memories there. Great establishment. And the food's delicious as well. Lol.

Stopped here returning from a DC trip and it was exceptional. Worth the stop and Tappahanock needed a good spot.

We had a group of 7 with both kids and adults and the experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, the serving sizes were very generous, and everything was fresh. The service was very fast, drink refills were quick and the servers were all very friendly. The next time we are in Tappahannock this is the place we will be stopping!

Food is always great, service is on point and the mango margarita is the best!

Food was great. Our waitress was great. Whole staff was great. Prices are good for the portion size. Might want to take a sweater in with you wife and friend got cold. Would recommend if you travel thru Tappahannock.

Amazing food. The queso sauce is delicious. We always get extra. The margaritas a great too!

2024 update: food is still amazing. Service not so much. Get your food to go.

Seafood burrito was delicious just like the first time I had it years ago 😋

We should have this restaurant without notice and about 30 people. They handled it like they were expecting us to come put tables together for us had every waiter and waitress in the place helping us out. Our drinks were always full they were on top of keeping us with chips and salsa. The food was very authentic a lot of flavor and just outstanding. There are so many items on the menu that it's almost impossible for someone to not find something to eat.

Wonderful time at my goodbye dinner. Reserved 2 tables. People came and went happy! The food was delicious. The drinks were generous and the service was great!

My favorite restaurant in town. Staff is always friendly and accommodating for my special requests. I love their chicken tacos. So many delicious things on the menu. The shrimp quesadillas are my favorite. Yum, now I have to go get some today. Just talking about them makes my mouth water

This Mexican restaurant is awesome, the food was very excellent and the workers are very nice. For my sister's birthday they came out and put a Mexican hat on her head, yeah idk what it's called but it's fine. They came and got the Mexican hat, gave her free ice cream. And they sung happy birthday in Spanish. This restaurant is a great place and I will be coming again.
