The owner of the record store has been running it for decades and knows what to recommend if you need help.

On this past visit I was able to get my hands on an sublime DVD with all of there music videos and interviews.

Come find those moments that have been lost in time at Dragon Song.

I love taking a piece of history with me whenever I go.

Plenty of classics used and still sealed!

Used vinyls are graded up arrival and are priced accordingly.

You will find a variety of format dating back to even 8 track!

CD's look better back then they do now, they're tall vertically standing cases with a large view of the album artwork which is always nice to admire.

When visiting Manassas, this is a must see independent record store. Great info on risks of playing records repeatedly in a short timeframe, grooves, and other vinyl care tips. Also great stories on 1970s concerts and classic rock bands. And informed us of a viny pressing plant in NoVA. This is the kind of old school record store that outlasted the chains so check it out. Rock on!

Had a wonderful conversation with the owner John. The Dude's full of interesting stories. I asked about the name Dragon Song and he told me an interesting story about a novel with the same name.
Gave me some tips on how to upkeep your records and how keep your turntable in good shape. Wonderful collection of vintage vinyl records and new ones too. Also, they had a cool collection of smoking pipes and sealed 8-tracks.

The first time I came to this place was for my nineteenth bday. At the time, I started getting real serious with collecting vinyl so I decided that I should check this place out! It was super close to where I lived as well and it surprised me that I’ve never heard of it. So I went and the store blew my mind… I mean it had more than just vinyl records, it has cds, tapestries, incense, shirts, cassette tapes, and a bunch of other cool stuff that he sells! I’d be lying if I didn’t say I fell in love with the place at first sight. But I think the best part of the whole place is the owner, John. He’s been there for 44 years! And he knows so much about vinyl and such, he’s given me so many tips about how to maintain my vinyl! I mean seriously, this guy is amazing. I could go on hours and hours about how wonderful this place is but I think that the reviews on this store speak for themselves. He doesn’t have five stars out of five stars for no reason! If you love classic rock, or just wanna get cool tapestries, maybe you even wanna get an official band t-shirt, or maybe just maybe you wanna know a little history about John and or his journey through owning his store, Dragon Song, then I 1000% highly recommend that you visit this place. There’s so much more than just vinyl in that store, so much more! But obviously he has vinyl for sale :)

Small store but great new and used selection! Decent pricing and John was extremely helpful.

John is a humble Northern Virginia legend. Beyond the man himself: his shop has many gems labelled "used vinyl" with quality ratings as well as hidden among his cassette collection. From there, he's got the latest remastered vinyl presses and plenty of classic audio media to please all music collectors. Ask him anything about music and he has at least one thoughtful answer. Great place. Must check it out if visiting the area.

Super cool shop I wish I had discovered sooner. The owner is nice and friendly and he’s got a cool range of vinyl, cassettes, and 8 tracks for you classic car folks. Also lots of other misc items in his shop. Support small and local businesses and check this place out!

Cool spot. Good selection of new and used vinyl as well as tapes, cds posters and head shop type stuff. Friendly owner that is happy to talk music with you. Looking forward to going back for more.

New to vinyl, the owner, John, gave me some good care advice for my records that I hadn’t seen online. Great collection too, will definitely be back in the new year!

I wish I could’ve discovered this place sooner! John is so knowledgeable and so personable. He has a collection of vinyls ranging from Frank Sinatra to Tame Impala. You’ll most likely find any record you’re looking for! I love the decor of the store, I know I’ll be spending a lot of time there.

Shopped there numerous times and was always pleased with the results. Always found late 60s and early 70s music.

Stopped by to check out the shop while in Manassas for work. Had limited time to spend there, but ended up chatting with John about the roots of rock and metal! He shared stories about seeing Sabbath, and how his first show was Alice Cooper! Great atmosphere with a wide variety of music to choose from all throughout the years. The coolest thing is that he doesn’t even use a computer, some loyal customers made a business page for him! (That’s pretty neat, and probably comes from the fact that he delivers excellent customer service, all while sharing his love for music with you!) Extremely knowledgeable, and shared a few tips for prolonging vinyl life/sound quality. Would recommend swinging by as soon as you get the chance! Wish we had something like this near home!

I've been going to dragon song even before they were in this location. It's very hard to go in and not spend money. They just always seem to have what I want. The service is always excellent. The vinyl isn't just older stuff either. They also have new artists on vinyl. It's just a really great store if you're into music.

John is so friendly and nice. This store is fantastic. Love the vibe and decor. Great inventory. Way Cool Music store to check out. Nice to be able to talk with a real person while shopping.

Best hidden gem in Manassas. I spent two hours looking through all of the records. This place had brand new records as well as previously owned ones. The owner was even nice enough to explain the record rating system to me, VG, Mint etc. .. He even offered to order some of the others I need. I definitely will be going back for more records.

I grew up in Manassas but somehow I've always missed this little shopping center. I stopped into Dragon Song yesterday and was blown away by the atmosphere. I ended up talking to the owner, John, for quite a bit of time! He showed a deep passion for music and had a lot of interesting knowledge that he shared with me. Vinyl, 8-track, CD's, tapestries, posters, blankets, stickers, even some jewelry, this place has it ALL! If you're into anything from the 50's to modern rock, this store is a MUST GO!!!
ESPECIALLY if you enjoy decor!
