George makes amazing fishing rods. They are beautiful and are like pieces of art. He is extremely helpful and can custom build anything you like. I would highly recommend George his work is impeccable a true craftsman.

I LOVE the pens from Works of Art by George Neuberger! They are beautiful to look at and are so well-balanced - they have a nice weight about them that makes writing a pleasure. I got my first one as a gift and I loved it so much, I bought a second one! George is a pleasure to deal with and I've recommended his pens to all my friends and family.

George is a master. I really enjoy my rod. He made another one for my son, who is catching a lot more fish with his than I am. Although, he gets to fish the Provo River in Utah anytime he wants. So, I don't blame the rod. Thanks George for the terrific work. Bob B

My 13-year-old son, Josh, is a fishing fanatic, and his new custom rod from Works of Art has taken his flounder game to the next level! We spend weekends cruising the bay around Ocean City MD in our boat, and this masterpiece is just perfect for targeting those flat fish.
The sensitivity is incredible. Josh swears he can feel every nibble, even before the line tugs. He's landed more keepers this summer with the new rod than he did all last year with his old rod. The fast action lets him set the hook lightning-fast, and the casting weight is perfect for sending jigs out to those flounder hotspots.
We love the detail that George incorporated into the pole, the custom detail that was done is amazing especially the great balance, and the comfortable grips. Everything feels sturdy and built to last, even when Josh gets a little overzealous after a big catch.
I am already planning on getting a custom rod for myself to keep up with him!

My husband and I have collected pens from George over the years. We’re up to 19 plus three we gave away as gifts. Right when we think we’re finished buying them he has another color or design. Also, they are not only creative but they write well too. We highly recommend them!

This is now the second rod that I own from George. I received my first as gift and I fell in love with it.

When I decided to add another to my collection I gave George a call to begin the process. Now I consider myself a well knowledge fisherman but I did not realize the amount of depth that went into a rod! George talked me through every inch that went into the rod including the reel seat, blanks, eyes, thread, cork, you name it!

During the building process I would get check-in texts and calls from George. He would share with me the process and make suggestions and get my opinion on certain aspects of my rod.

The final product came out better than I could have expected. I am thrilled with the quality of the blank that he suggested, the lightness of the rod (which I stated was important to me), and the over all beauty of it. The pictures I took of it do not do it any justice but this is a thing of beauty when you hold it in your hand and when the sun hits it.

I am ready to order more! George is now my rod guy and now a friend! I do think I can go back to my other brands now! You spoiled me George! Thank you!

It’s cliche to say but this rod is a “work of art”!

Everything that goes into this rod is 100% custom and most importantly is made to be 100% functional and effective for fishing. George takes the time to listen to what style of fishing you do, what size line you use, what size lures you use, spinning or baitcasting, color thread for the eyes, etc etc and creates a masterpiece designed specifically for you. Another super cool thing is that he also features your name on the rod!

Personal back story: My family is in the leather business and made the case for the rod featured in the pictures posted. The purpose of showing the case is to point out the detail in the handle of the rod. The same leather that was used on the case was also sent to George and he incorporated that into the handle of the rod! Talk about personalized and sentimental, you cannot get anything better.

I am excited to get out on the water and try this out as soon as possible. I will post a video preview/review of it as well on my IG @chasingwaterwolves

Needless to say, I will love to order more of these rods in the future for myself and as gifts for my friends

Excellent quality fishing rods and pens. George made me a fantastic salmon rod plus pens for myself and my guests. The rod I used to catch the COHO salmon in this picture on the Pacific Ocean in British Columbia Canada. A beautiful work of art. My sister bought me two extraordinary pens from this business at a fair a few weeks ago. I wrote to the owner because I have been wanting a special Eagles pen for a long time. He has delivered to me a fabulous Eagles pen with a stadium at the top and a football down by then wrens. It is gorgeous and I am so happy I now have an Eagle pen in my collection. Thank you.

Two Pens I ordered and received this past week as gifts for family members were each individually Personalized & Unique. The pens show great workmanship and are high quality at a fair price.
There were so many option available, but ideas I had were easily reflected in these special pieces. I’m sure they will be admired for a long time to come.

Music has always been a part of my son's life, especially playing the guitar. I visited the Works of Art booth at the Delaware Center for Creative Arts art fair recently. The pens and other items were beautiful and well crafted. I did not make a purchase at that time. But, as time went on, I thought a pen with the guitar on it would make a perfect gift for my son.
I contacted Mr. Neuberger and he emailed me some samples to choose from for my son. I chose the perfect pen and can't wait for him to open his gift on Christmas day. I know he'll love it as much as I do.

I could not be happier with the custom fishing rod that George created for my fiancé. He took the time to make sure the rod would be as functional as it is beautiful. We met with George to make sure all the specifics of the rod were perfect and he didn’t make any modifications before calling us. You can tell he is very passionate about his work and puts his heart into every creation. I met George at the Lancaster Outdoor Show and purchased six of his pens as gifts which were very much appreciated. As a follow-up to that purchase, I was so impressed by his artistry I contacted him about make pens for my business. He made 25 pens in the Sportsman Model utilizing my hunting camo design as the body of the pen which he created in epoxy. He also made 25 Sportsmen pens with two styles of wood body, one is Bethlehem Olive Wood, and the other is Wych Elm Burl. The pens are beautiful pieces of art. I had the pleasure of seeing George's workshop when we discussed the order and wood selections. A true artist, he takes tremendous pride in his work and his attention to detail. Although I didn't purchase any of his fishing rods, I could not believe the thread work on the rods that he does. I cannot even begin to imagine the patience required for the precision. I would highly recommend any of George's products as functional pieces of art, each being unique and handmade.

My husband and I saw George’s shop at a craft show in Delaware. His pieces are absolutely gorgeous. It is evident the hard work out into making each piece truly unique. My wife and I visited George's booth at the Ocean City Craft show.
I always thought about getting a custom-built rod.
After seeing George's work, I knew that he was the rod builder that I would have build it.
I filled out the 2-page form and my wife and I went to George's shop to get custom fitted.
We did not realize what was involved to get the perfect built rod.
George was very helpful in the design my rod.
The rod is a real Work of Art.
Had it built with guides in the Acid (spiral) Wrap with MHX Graphite blank. Burgundy with gold epoxy grips and butt with pinecone in the epoxy and Burgundy with gold fish scale threading design. He also made a pen with leftover epoxy for my wife. Pictures of my one of a kind rod are on George's Facebook page.
I highly recommend George for a custom rod (and pen).
