Very cozy environment with friendly staff to make you feel at home. Must say the Rib salad, mesquite chicken rolls, and sirloin were melt in your mouth delicious. Even though we went right at closing time we didn’t feel rushed and the food and service was still great. The Christmas decor is beautiful and great for family pictures.

This is about the warmest group of restauranteurs I've ever had the pleasure to patronize. And it starts with the owner. We travel back and forth from Illinois to Hot Springs and always stay in Dexter so we can eat at the Hickory Log. Ribs are marvelous. Service is great. My hubby appreciates the generous tubs of butter.(he hates those little foil pats!)

I had the strip steak and the food was cooked perfectly. The service was exceptional. I would recommend the Hickory Log as a place to get a steak in Dexter, MO.

We had a party of 20 walk in the door and they were quick and efficient accommodating us. Great food, fantastic service,inviting atmosphere.

I’m not sure where to begin! We had a wedding dinner for 40 people. I was in touch with the restaurant for three months to make sure everything was correct because I live out of town. When we showed up everything was there that was promised and fresh! The food was delicious! The service was phenomenal! Our waitress worked hard for our party and everyone was satisfied! Thank you from our family for serving us! Definitely will be back and will recommend you to others.

This is THE PLACE to get southern style dry rub ribs in Missouri, not just southern Missouri either. This is a generational family operation, and whispers "Nostalgia" in your ear, as the menu to the decor, they haven't changed a thing.

Always Always Love Hickory Log!! New Ribs are a necessary change but NEVER FEAR!!!! The Ribs are still Fantastic!!!

We stopped in and had some lunch special ribs on a salad with house dressing and loved it. Kids liked the junior cheeseburgers. Will be back to try some more of the bbq dishes next time. Interior had an old world German kind of feel with some nice woodwork. Great local business to stop in and support on your travels in southeastern Missouri

The best of the best. Two thumbs up. The original Rib House in Dexter is still the King.

Delicious southern food. Appetizers were gone in a flash. Our drinks never went dry and the food was presented beautifully. The food looked so perfect that our 8 year old refused to eat it for almost 10 minutes until his sister stuck her finger in it.

This was place was amazing! Service was impeccable, the owner was greeting people. The fanciest bbq place I have ever gone too. We just stopped in on a whim as we were passing through. Will definitely go again if back in the area

Always love coming to see the Christmas Decorations each year and the food is always wonderful! We enjoy the ribs and the seasoned chicken!

Best Ribs Ever

This is a new family favorite! Stopped here on the way back from vacation and will definitely be going back. Not only is the food fantastic, the customer service is superb. The ribs are tender, juicy and sauce is almost drinkable.

I’m from Texas and we take great pride in our bbq, especially ribs. These were fantastic and would rival any places at home!

Great food and great atmosphere. Everyone must have been on break food was really slow getting out but was very tasty upon receiving it.
