The food is simply fantastic!! The owner/chef is amazing. Quality is a word that simply can not be over used when talking about this place! Every dish I have had has been cooked to perfection! The best way I can describe the food is 5 star technique with a down home style. The portions are extremely generous and the price is more than fair, if not actually under priced. From sea bass to baramundi and salmon, to chicken and steak, there is no way you can go wrong with anything you choose!!!

Our church had a couples get together tonight (2/17/24) for Valentine’s Day.

The food is fantastic every time I visit! The chef is friendly and personally checks on us to make sure our meal is good. This is an outstanding place for the holidays with family or a quiet date night.

Honestly wish I could give more stars. This is a fine dining experience tucked away in a small town's historic downtown. I wanted to take my husband out to celebrate with a fine steak, and boy did we find a fantastic place to eat. This place should be packed every night! The steak was grilled to perfection. So tender and delicious. Charbroiled with just a touch of crispy edges. Perfect! The baked potatoes are soft and fluffy, cooked to perfection. Toasted Ravioli was delicious. Salad, excellent. Thanks for not cutting corners in the salad department. I've seen too many steakhouses that buy bagged salad and serve it to you as a "fresh" salad. The waitress and owner were very pleasant and accommodating. Dhafer's is a diamond in the rough, a hidden gem. And we absolutely recommend it and will definitely be back!

Food is delicious... we had the mushrooms for an appetizer and I could have handled an entire order by myself. It was delicious!!! Definitely would suggest you going, especially if you want a nice quiet, friendly atmosphere. Dhafer is a great cook & the waitresses are knowledgeable in the food products offered!

Road tripping from the west coast with my husband and decided on Dexter for our evening stop.
Popped in here for one if the most delicious steaks we have had in years!! All the food was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well our tastebuds exploded with happiness!!
The decor, service, and especially the food was totally top notch - Thank you for being a highlight of our trip!

Ordered to go last weekend. I had Chicken Caprese, and my husband had sirloin steak. They were both delicious! We also love their roasted potatoes! Great food! Highly recommend!

Even though the decor is so elegant, it still felt very welcoming and inviting. Staff was soooo nice and go out of their way to make you feel appreciated and comfortable.
Our food was fresh and delicious. Their homemade chips are addictive! The Reuben sandwich and blackened tilapia sandwich were the best I have ever tried. You can tell they use very fresh ingredients.
Menu selection was vast.....the salad selections alone looked great. (Gonna have to try the spicy cobb, for sure!)
We popped in for lunch, but can't wait to return for an evening meal. Prices were not bad at all. We spent maybe $4 more total than we would have for 2 value meals at any fast food chain... And got MUCH HIGHER quality of food, as well as more quantity.
This is a definite new favorite!

If you're looking for top quality food prepared by one of the best chefs around, look no further. Excellent food, particularly the sirloin which is more like a filet. Never had a bad meal in all the years we have been coming here. Staff is amazing.

We come from Kansas City often and eat here several times on each visit. It is a huge blessing for Dexter to have someone who cares enough to bring in FRESH, not frozen fish and steak and perfectly prepare it with consistency.
People who say it's pricey want the delicious fresh ingredients but fuss over paying for it.
You're paying for quality here and you get it!
Chef Dhafer comes out and greets everyone and truly cares about his customers. Come out and support this incredible gem of Dexter.

Best steak ever. I order the 16oz ribeye every time. Dhafer cooks it perfect every time. He will also come out and greet his guests. He's a great chef and good man.

This restaurant is amazing! The food is delicious, chef/owner is courteous, friendly staff and very nice atmosphere. Nice wine menu, too. Best restaurant around here by far.
