J&B Coffee

Fantastic local coffee shop nestled on a neighborhood corner just south of the university. A good number of seating options with most having power connections so you can get both you and your electronics a quick charge. Great selection of teas but doubt ill try anything else after getting their Black Cask Bourbon tea - its that good!

My favorite place to study as a student and still, my favorite place to relax and have a cup of tea!

I love their seasonal options that they rotate throughout the year and the fun new offerings that pop up frequently!

It keeps things exciting when you want something different than your regular coffee or tea ☕

There is also a menu with light sandwiches and salads for a quick bite!

Highly recommended for amazing teas, coffees, and yummy snacks within walking distance to Texas Tech!

We’ve been coming here for years and have always been delighted with the coffee and atmosphere. If you are looking for a chill spot to study, chat with friends, or just enjoy a coffee and muffin, this place is perfect.

Be warned, if you want to study here the ambient noise can get very loud! I personally need some background noise to work, but if you don’t maybe grab a coffee here on the way to a library.

The coffee shop is unique, located in Lubbock but tastes like it is in Austin because of its vibes. It fits both family and students.
Their Coffee is really good and way better than Starbucks.

I was very excited to learn today that all the coffee brewed here is made with coffee beans from Daybreak Coffee Roasters. We tried the Hodgepodge (chocolate, caramel, cream & ice), Bourbon Street (hot & dark), Latté w/ Lavender, Lubbock High (chocolate, hazelnut, caramel, cream & ice) and a blueberry scone. Coffee was great, scone was good but too cakey for me.

So happy to support this local business!! Open LATE and QUICK service. Quality, clean coffee and tea that wasn't weak. Unique flavors and something for everyone. Nice indoor seating and clean restroom. Thanks for serving us at 8pm!

I've been wanting to try this place since I moved here in August. The establishment is so cute! The atmosphere is amazing! I didn't like the coffee that I got lol but the one that my boyfriend got was really really good! Can't wait to go try something new

Cute coffee shop to visit. We snagged some breakfast bagel sandwiches and some iced lattes and an Americano. Service was super friendly and our orders were delicious.

Very nice staff, great service and great beverages and snacks. Second time we came here and it's a consistently good experience. WiFi works as well and atmosphere is good. Can definitely recommend!

Friendly little Cafe, neat place to hang out with friends or just to get a cup of coffee to read a book. Located in a little plaza with limited parking spaces. There a few little boutique shops in the same place, grab a coffee and walk around to see if you can find something special for yourself.
They sell variety of roasted beans in the Cafe to take home for you to enjoy at your own comfort.
I usually go for a latte when try new places, this is my first visit here during college visit. The roast a little on the light note, I usually prefer medium to dark roast. Just personal preference.

Great place. The environment is friendly as well as the staffs! You can spend hours for study, gossiping with friends and families. Recommended

Delicious coffee and espresso. Nice vibe. Def best coffeehouse in 806. Just be prepared to feel old if you don't go to Tech lol.

Had a bagel with peanut butter (crazy good) and a cappuccino (wanted to ask the barista how she did the foam because it was sooooooo good. texture was silky but airy idk how she did it). they forgot my boyfriends oatmeal tho.

Their select list of over 10 flavored coffee beans (no sugar or sweeteners) is phenomenal. Would recommend the hazelnut and Carmel flavored. Scones are homemade and delicious

This place was great! I came here with my girlfriend to grab some coffee and study, we ended up ordering some breakfast sandwiches and they were amazing... the coffee was incredible. Oh also... the couch inside is the single comfiest couch i have ever sat in... Highly recommend this place

Absolutely the best coffee shop I have been to in a while. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, fast service, and fantastic coffee.

Best coffee shop in Lubbock; it's a staple for almost 4 decades for a reason! My wife comes here regularly to write, and it's also been an excellent study spot for me. The coffee is not over-roasted like Starbucks, and has a good full flavor and smell that permeates the shop. All the specialty drinks are great, especially our favorite, the Hodge Podge!
Front room is perfect for hanging out socially. The back room is my preference for study.
They just added an additional restroom, so they're up to two! The new one is tucked back behind the original restroom and has to be accessed through the back room, which has confused many people I've observed. Just be aware to go around the corner! Both restrooms are clean and pleasant.
Wifi now has a password. The agreement for using Internet is a lot longer and stricter than I'd expect or prefer for a coffee shop experience, but I assume it's to cover their backs.
Art shows have become a greater focus, with collections coming with more regularity in the back room. Pleasant way to build community.
The main issue can be long lines (though they usually move quick do to a good staff size), and lack of a drive-thru. But this is only an inconvenience when in a hurry, and makes it more of a traditional, people-focused coffee shop than a car-oriented coffee factory.
All in all, this is a wonderful neighborhood coffee shop that provides an example for neighborhoods and cities across the state for an incredible asset. Our favorite coffee and shop!

Wow, yesterday was my first time going to J & B’s coffee but I love the atmosphere of the coffee shop. The staff was welcoming, patient and helpful.

I got the wedding cake cold brew with oat milk! The cold brew was 10/10 would definitely recommend. We also found out that the ice tea has free refills which is really generous. Get studying spot!

It’s a great place to meet and get coffee. The parking is rough, but that’s not J&B’s fault. Inside is cool, dry, and clean. The service is quick and friendly. They were helpful and great. Go here!

Wonderful atmosphere, quality coffee, and friendly service. Will visit this coffee shop again when we visit Lubbock.
