I have been going to Hi-way for years for bait. They carry wax worms which can be hard to find sometimes. Great prices and the staff is so helpful and friendly. Today, we needed some suggestions on what to get because my son really wanted to catch bass. D.J went out of his way to not only make sure we had the right gear, but showed my son how to rig up his own rod by doing it for him. We hope he sees this because my son caught the biggest bass of his life today and wanted to show his new friend his “greatest catch.”

Great tackle shop friendly service

Stopped by at 7:00am, Saturday morning after trying Jeanette and Herb, both closed.
I was met by a very friendly gentleman who provided 2 full scoops of Emerald Shiners!
He noticed a small Bluegill and asked me to release it back into the lake.
We fished in 28' of water off the Marblehead Lighthouse, caught 26 nice Yellow Perch and safely returned the Bluegill.
Great guy, bait shop and day in the lake.
Highly recommended!

Went there with a few questions about some local fishing spots. They was so helpful! Wrote down a few spots for me and took their time with me. I didnt purchase anything at the time and I was still treated as a VIP customer! I did look around and everything in there is priced to sell. Very low prices and helpful staff. Ill recommend this bait shop if you're in the area or withen 50 miles lol!! Thank you!

Excellent assistance and great selection of fishing products. Goes above and beyond in customer service. Definitely worth the stop and on a major hwy for easy in and out. Repaired a broken rod tip in mins. And at a very reasonable price. Also fixes lures with new hooks.

Best bait and tackle shop I've ever been to. Excellent service, everything you could possibly need to fish lake erie, and the best advice if you want to catch fish there as well. If I'm in the area fishing I'll be stopping there everytime for sure. Thanks guys!

Such a wonderful store in a perfect spot. We are a marina on Kelleys Island and all season we order cases of worms from Hiway. They are great to deal with.
