Steph's Steaks

Post hiking went to eat here and it definitely deserves its fantastic rating. Chicken and steak were both amazing. So much flavor! Everything was fresh, hot and made to order. The potato salad was also a surprising bonus win!

Finished hiking today and needed a place to eat. Google maps led us to Steph’s and WOW 🤩 We were not disappointed!

Staff was super friendly.
Food was amazing
We sat outside with our puppy and they quickly brought her a big bowl of water.

I highly recommend and will be returning

Amazing fresh cheesecake and excellent service. We needed a late lunch and split a sandwich. Steph’s served us in our own baskets with chips each - without us asking. Great customer service. Steak was so tasty and super hot. Fries were so good. We will be back!

Thanks to Google maps for leading us here for dinner before the Edwin McCain Concert. I had the chicken teriyaki and bacon cheese steak sandwich with the best fries I have tasted in a long time. My wife got a hotdog and chips. The place was busy but the service was great. The girl taking our order was super helpful with suggestions for our first order. Another server came by three times to see if we needed anything. We actually played some table checkers while we waited. Games are provided. We saw several kids with their families. Bathrooms were super clean. I highly recommend Steph's Steaks and plan to come back!.

Was looking for a burger joint wife saw the sign and wanted to give a try. I can say I was not disappointed hadn't had a good cheesse steak pm forever and third place was top notch. I got the supreme cheese steak my wife went for the fried green tomato blt it looked Great and their friend are some of the best around just the right amount of crunch and not danty little omes either. Can not wait to be back.

I love the old buildings in this town. Plus it's very clean and a very safe feeling environment. You can walk all over town and it's all happy clean people. This restaurant is great and in the best location.

We were outside with our dog. Could use a couple more tables but I understand it is limited sidewalk space. Was cute inside. Clean bathroom. Food was excellent & they give you a lot.

Hoagie roll & a lot of sauteed vegetables. Best beef sandwich I ever had. Husband had steak,egg, and cheese. He really liked his too. We were both full just with the sandwich. Very good service. They brought out a giant metal bowl of clean water for her while my husband was ordering our food. So nice!

A great little local find!
My family and I were driving back from the mountains and looking for a local place to try, and I'm so glad that we spotted Steph's.
The portions were very good, the quality was excellent, the service was fast and friendly, and it was an all-around good experience.
We'll probably drop back in the next time we're in the area as well!

All of the staff was really nice and helpful. The food was delicious. Even the kid's meal items were good and was enough to feed a grown adult. I definitely recommended eating here if you are in Walhalla!

Steph's Steaks is one of the safest and best places to eat if your LGBT+

The staff are friendly and diverse, the food is delicious and the root beer floats make me melt!

The dining area is quaint and matches the feel of Walhalla perfectly better than some restaurants that have been here forever.

Drinks are your stereotypical choices but with free refills I'm not complaining, I'd highly recommend mixing their sweet tea with the minute made lemonade for a delicious Arnold Palmer to go with your delectable meal.

The owner Steph is sweet as the dessert her restaurant serves and is just as happy to meet her customers as she is to serve them.

I can't recommend this place anymore than 5 stars sadly because it deserves a full 10

Steak sandwiches literally melt in your mouth. My boyfriend loved the chicken hoagie. Service is fantastic. Sandwiches come out so quick even when they’re busy. And they’re open Mondays! Love this spot

I just moved to the area and this place set the bar outstandingly high! The philly was delicious and the au jus made it out of this world. Fries and chicken strips were crunchy and very tasty. Don't even get me started on the pickles. The staff was so nice, as well. I can't wait to go back and try everything else!

Originally from the north. We have spent 7 years trying to find anything close to what we had. My wife and I drove an hour to try Stephs. After the first bite, my wife said, "This is home!".

The service was excellent! We spoke with the owners daughter, who was so friendly, and later, the owner came over to talk with us.

*THE BEST STEAK SANDWICH IN THE UPSTATE* Fries were awesome, too!

Love it! Same great cheesesteaks as I’ve had in Philly at Steve’s prince of steaks without the Philly attitude!! Yum!

Great food. Just a word of warning pick your cheese

I've been all over looking for the best cheesesteak and figured out that it was a pizza place 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia. Until now... Steph's is as good if not better than that. Great ingredients, seasoning, cheese, and hoagies.

I arrived about 10 minutes after they opened on a Saturday, which is tough on places because they're usually really busy prepping. I was greeted warmly by 2 ladies and the food arrived really quickly. I ordered fries, which were cooked really well, but wasn't able to finish them because the cheesesteak was too good to waste a bite.

I actually ordered one to go and plan to eat it for dinner.

It's a LOT closer than Philly and just as good if not better! I will definitely be back.

My daughter and I stopped before our hike, and we can't wait to go back. The food is amazing, the fact that my 9 year old actually ate her leftovers (chicken fingers), and it was as good as when we ordered, 🤯. The Buffalo chicken salad was amazing. Needless to say, we will be back. We love the fact that they have family games available so we can interact with our family

We drove an hour and 30 minutes to try this place, and we were impressed. We could not find a cheese steak place that was good and after reading the reviews, decided to make an afternoon trip through the mountains to get there.

We ordered Steph's Steak with pizza sauce added and no onions and the Supreme Steak with mushrooms and a large fry.

They were both amazing. My only thing I'd ask for is my peppers a little more done. They were cooked, but I like them super soft. Other than that, we would make the drive again for these wonderful steaks.

Check their Facebook for soft opening hours! Went by during lunch and got probably the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I was able to add mushrooms, onions, mayo, and banana peppers which made it insanely good. I took it to go and it was still hot and melty when I got home. Highly recommend!

We stopped here for food on a whim, I’m really glad we tried this place ! I’m vegetarian and got the veggie burger and it was so good, the fries are also amazing. I found it to be reasonably priced! I wanna say the employees name was Hannah? (I could be completely wrong) but she was so sweet and attentive
