As a boricua, you can imagine my surprise when I found out there was a Puerto Rican cafe right in my backyard. How did I miss this? I thought I was the only Rican here!

With imported coffee coming from the homeland and coquí frogs decorated around their menu, I felt right at home. I can’t wait to show my other family members this spot when they come to visit.

Not only that, but their coffee and baked goods are delicious. The coffee beats any other shops around, there is no bitter aftertaste. The pastelillos are flaky with the perfect amount of guava. My husband loves their quesitos as well.

If you are an iced coffee lover like I am, the Stumphouse Tunnel or S’more, are an absolute must!

Great spot for coffee and pastries, all unique and wonderful. Fresh hand-made pastries and special coffee from Puerto Rico can't get anywhere else.

Wonderful coffee shop with great specialty drinks cleverly named after local sites and attractions. Lots of local Golden Corner, Oconee County gifts and collectibles. Was blessed by the sweet message written on my drink cup! 💜
So thankful they preserved a bit of history by keeping the Alexander's office supply sign and story. Nice relaxed casual atmospher. A great place for meeting with friends, small groups, or a quiet treat for yourself. I hope they are here for a long time to stay.

What a wonderful way to start a Friday! I finally stopped in after driving by 100 times and had the best coffee I’ve ever had. I told the wonderful ladies I wanted something fun and sugar free and they recommended the sugar free Stumphouse. For once, I wasn’t stuck only choosing between sugar free vanilla or hazelnut. My drink was delicious, my bagel was toasty, and the service was incredibly fast especially given the huge line! 10/10

I absolutely loved the place. Everyone there is so friendly and attentive. I go every morning to get my decaf cafe con leche and believe me it is the best in town. The Puerto Rican pastries are delicious and always fresh. I really enjoy getting a little boost of confidence from the messages on the cups! I highly recommend.

The actual food and drinks were delicious! I got a pumpkin latte and it was very tasty and smooth and not oversweet. They have a selection of pastries and bagels, and I like that the food also has a Mexican influence-I think it makes their offerings special. We’ll definitely be back!

I love the atmosphere! I think that they should really lean into the unique, well-designed items they have because they’re wonderful souvenirs for out-of-towners. The office supplies feel a little incongruent with the “vibe.” The shop is downtown and there are lots of other little places you can go to after you grab a snack.

Reading through reviews, it seems like people are having a lot of feelings about the Christian influence on the cups. I’m not a Christian, but I didn’t find it to be intrusive or upsetting. The only clue I got of Christian influence was a little message on the sleeve of the coffee, and usually I try to frame those kinds of influences as people genuinely wanting the best for me and it’s not out of malice or disrespect. Though I don’t want to go to a shop where that’s the main focus, it really didn’t impede my experience, which was overwhelmingly positive! It frustrates me to see reviews from people who live out of town who haven’t even been there because I’d hate for a local business to fail based off of one little phrase on a coffee cup. Come on, y’all. Capitalism makes things hard enough on small businesses, and Walhalla has come leaps and bounds in its downtown.

In response to some recent reviews, I have updated my review to include a photo of my coffee. It was a delicious honey and cinnamon flavor! It also had an uplifting quote (encouraging to all, not religion specific). Hands down the best coffee in the Upstate (coffee comes in straight from Puerto Rico) and the friendliest customer service!

It’s hard to find a coffee shop that CONSISTENTLY makes good coffee every single time. No matter who makes it, what day of the week it is, or how busy it is, the coffee is always on point. Staff is so friendly and always thanks us for coming in, the place has lots of cozy seating and a couple tables in case you have a group or need to get some work done. Love this place 🥰

I can’t speak to the coffee or food, though I can speak to the outstanding service I receive every time I come in to send a FedEx package. Although they are no longer preparing labels (bring your printed label or they may be able to print it for you from an email), they do provide the FedEx labeled boxes and are very knowledgeable about shipping times and related matters.

If you value a cheerful disposition, personalized service, and staff members who care about providing an excellent customer experience, give Alexander’s a try.

Super cute lil coffee shop in Walhalla. It's very cozy with both tables and couches for lounging. The spaces were nice and clean and service came with a smile. My Boba was delightfully different being made with juice instead of the traditional tea. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a boba fix or a tea substitute.
I will be back!

First time ever having Puerto Rican coffee (café cortadito, I think) + it was *delicious.* I don’t have any fave Clemson/Central/Pendleton coffee places, + I would def drive to Walhalla to have it again.

Staff were super friendly + helped me pick my drink based on my prefs. Would love to go back for food or pastries when I have more time. Relaxing space for convos, working, studying. Local artisan wares also available. 🤩

The staff here is like family! Every time I walk in they call me and my family by name. The coffee and food is amazing and I go there daily. One of my favorite things is reading the Bible quotes on the cups. It is always nice to know that it is ran by God fearing people who care about everyone and their needs.

Best coffee in town, Best pastries in Town and best service in town. second to none in the Area. The only bad reviews Ive read from this shop are related to Christian messages of encouragement that are written on the coffee cups and had nothing to do with their services or products. Makes me wonder if the people giving bad reviews have renounced the US Dollar yet, or they still walk around carrying money in their pockets that say "IN GOD WE TRUST".

Love this place! The vibe in this shop is really cool! Incredible Puerto Rican coffee paired with goods featuring the waterfalls and parks of Oconee county. The employees are amazing in the service is great! Definitely recommend anyone to go.

I was warmly greeted once I walked in, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. Very down to earth people, homy atmosphere, and their coffee is pretty awesome.

This cozy shop has a great atmosphere and merchandise! I didn’t even realize they sold food here and the locally-themed coffee drinks are amazing. The service is always great and everyone in there is friendly and wonderful to talk to.

*****editing to add that the only 1 stars are trolls that have never been to this establishment. The one comment with the likes posted on a non Christian page to attack this business for the quotes on the cup. I’m so enraged that you would take your time to hate on people who love others so much. It’s truely pathetic. The smartest atheists in the world will tell you to respect Christian’s they are good people that you should surround yourself with. They are filled with love for others. This troll is full of hate I am so sorry this business was attacked by this sad person and people who have never got experience this wonderful place. I hope God will have mercy on their life and give them better things to do with their time. Please give this place a try for yourself and not be discouraged by the fake reviews of people who have not tried it. Thank you!

Wonderful place! Such a good addition to the town. Thank you for spreading the light with the inspirational quotes on your cups aswell. It’s Christian people like this that make our community such a wonderful place, please open your eyes and see what Christian’s do for the community. Without them so many would go without homes, food, clothes, jobs. Thank you so much for not letting negative people bring you down. I hope your light shines for miles! We need more God and Godly people or the world will cease to exist. Good food, good conversation, all is welcome. If you are looking for something different this is the pace for you!!! They have the best coffee in town...autentic puertorican coffee, best puertorican pastries and much more. They even have office supplies. If you are just looking for a special gift for a special person they have it too. And the most important thing, the staff is amazing, always welcome you with a big smile. This place is just amazing!!!
