I walked into the shop with only a basic understanding of surf fishing and the gear I needed. Everyone at the store went out of their way to teach me how to ties some key knots, set me up with the gear I needed, and worked with me to come in under my budget. Stopped in for the first time today. I'm starting literally from ground zero in salt water fishing transitioning from fresh water. My complete lack of knowledge in salt water fishing gear was eased by extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Namely Joe, spent considerable time with me getting me set up with decent Rods, reels, tackle and accessories to have a fairly solid starting point as I begin learning the saltwater side of things. The entire staff up to the owners were exceptional to work with. While my own awareness of how much I really don't know came through, they treated me very well and took considerable time educating me on everything I was getting. This first impression will absolutely keep me coming back because lord knows, I'll need more and more gear as time passes.

Been around the fishing community a long time and it is refreshing to go to a shop ran by real fisherman. Recently trusted Joe to service some of my conventional’s for the trolling season and was really blown away by how smooth they felt after. They’ve been serviced before but this was different. Really knowledgeable guy as well, would come back just to talk fishing and gear with him. Great selection, can tell a lot of the tackle is rigged in house, non of that over seas BS plaguing most shops.
