Black Cat Curiosity Shoppe

This store is incredible! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The items I can't even describe. The moment I walked in, I was just in awe. There are curiousities all over. Arts souvenirs and even a black cat or two. There is a variety of tours you can go on. Absolutely recommend Black Cat as a shop to check out.

Super friendly! They even welcomed our Boston terrier. Really cool stuff to look at and I got a good laugh at the What we do in the shadows portrait wall lol I picked up a Seance perfume roll, which smells amazing! Great shop and a perfect location.

There are lots of cool exhibits and the tours are humorous, informative and over all just a really fun time. The staff are so sweet and amazing. When I go back to Salem this will be the first place I go back to.

Wow - just wow! So beyond the items for sale there are some really fun curiosities to look at. I could have spend 1/2 a day in here. The staff there is very friendly and very much in the spirit of Halloween (we vacationed in Salem Halloween week 2023). When we go back this will definitely be one of the stops.

Shop was so cute! We went on a ghost tour and Vin was our guide. They were FANTASTIC! Highly recommend the history/ghost tour and if you can get Vin, get them!

The Black Cat Curiosity Shoppe is an experience — think museum meets shopping and choosing from local artistry, delectable teas, meaningful, unique momentos and more. Not only is the shoppe home to items from iconic movie sets (think Ghost Busters, The Last Unicorn, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and more), they have authentic historical items too (e.g., a literal hair from Napoleon Bonaparte’s head), and the kindest, most knowledgeable staff that often includes the owners themselves, the artists that create some of the one-of-kind gifts you can take home, and other Salem natives proud to welcome you in. I had the pleasure of taking home some incredible teas from the shoppe that my friends have loved, and a handmade knitted ghost toy that I gifted to my friend’s son for his birthday that he is in love with. You can’t miss this shoppe on your next trip to Salem - go and let me know what you think!

Awesome spooky historical tour. Vin, you were fantastic. Even with the bitterly cold weather, it was well worth it. Amazing little shop, tons of cool stuff. Next time I'm here, I will book it again.

Such a crazy and interesting store! Has a lot of movie prop replicas and lots of “witchy” stuff. Definitely stop in and book a tour with this company.

Cool displays of curated collections and cute curios. We went twice last weekend and bought 3 pins, 2 figurines, and a necklace all with cats on them. *Do not have to be a cat lover to enjoy, but it’s a plus.

I attended an event there, an evening pop up shop with several makers and Artisans. The people were lovely, serving chocolate and tea samples and welcoming visitors.

These folks and this store is just amazing. Came to Salem for this kind of place. It was my daughters birthday and they made her feel so special! Cannot wait to go back and cannot recommend enough.

Used to be a bank but magically transformed into an amazing oddities store. Really amazing inside, definitely worth checking out
