Bistro 201 Peruvian cuisine

Wow, was blown away by the food here that I had to write a post. In a quiet part of town, but don't let that fool you. Bistro 201 puts its own twist on Peruvian classics while staying authentic. The seafood was fresh, and the service was amazing. We had the Leche de Tigre cocktail (bright, acidic, and delicious), Jalea (fried goodness), and Lomo Saltado (sweet and flavorful beef). The fry on the seafood was light, crunchy, and seasoned to perfection 👌

This is one of those places that Keith-Lee should come to. Bistro 201 needs to find their target audience because, wow, they deserve it! Give them a try!!

I had an incredible experience at this place! Being a family-owned business, the warm and welcoming environment really shone through. In my opinion, it surpasses Ayawaski in every way. I'm definitely planning on returning.

The food is fabulous. The service is even better. The owner made us feel like family. We thought we were full until they brought out dessert! Amazing.

Will definitely come back! I chose just closest place on google maps and it was Bistro 201. Perfect service, very friendly and caring staff. I tried Chicha Morada - reminded me about Spanish Sangria - super tasty and refreshing. And for the meal i had Pollada with chicken and potatoes. Yummy! Whenever I'll be in Petaluma I'll stop to eat there again!

Authentic, delicious Peruvian food prepared and served by a gracious family. Loved the Petalima Tiradito ceviche, Paella and Locre de Zapallo, a warm winter veggie dish. Theirs is the best Tiramisu we've ever had, and they offer additional desserts on weekends. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely restaurant. The best arroz con mariscos I've had in the bay (Peruvian version of paella). Portions were excellent as well (especially compared to Ayawaska). Leche de tigre and the chicken were also very tasty. Will be coming back!

I've been here twice now, and both times, the food was excellent. Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Service was always friendly and interactive. It's a small strip mall location, so they do the best they can with the atmosphere. It was a touch warm for me this last visit, but we're in seasonal transition, so I'll cut them some slack there. Go there. Eat. Drink. Keep them around.

Petaluma! Why aren’t you eating here en masse!? We’ve just finished eating and my stars, this has been a phenomenal meal. The ceviches are an absolute star. The flavors, the spice, the gracious staff who want to see your smile as you enjoy the Peruvian dishes.
We are in Petaluma on vacation. If we lived here, Bistro 201 would be on our routine restaurant list. Seriously Petaluma! Support this business!

Family owned authentic Peruvian. Very friendly family. Very good food. Live piano player was talented and obviously enjoyed the endeavor.
Limited menu is not for the timid. All dishes were happily described. You can tell they care deeply about the food they are serving. The passion comes through.
The space is clean and well decorated. There is a very large beverage refrigerator in the corner that belays salsa dancing night must be very popular.

Absolutely amazing. Food quality was superior. Service was so nice!!! A small family owned and run place with a personal touch that is lacking in most food spots now-a-days! I will definetly be back!

What a gem! Such a sweet space, very clean, with an excellent menu and friendly service. You can tell this family run restaurant takes pride in their small curated menu and choice selection of Peruvian wines (and delicious sounding cocktails!). I can't wait to go back and try more. A+!

My wife and I stopped by this place while traveling along the coast. Such great people run this place and the food is wonderful. I'm Peruvian and grew up in a very Peruvian house hold that was always going back and forth from Lima. Their food just made you feel at home or like you were back in Peru chilling with the fam. Their ceviche de pescado is some of the best I've ever had. My wife and I had Ceviche, Cauza, Arroz con pollo, Seco and finished with some masamora which our waiter was kind enough to let us try. All excellent! It's nice to see a lot more traditional foods on their Menu too vs a lot of other Peruvian places that only go with more American friendly dishes. Can't wait to go back! Anytime I'm even remotely close to this area I will go out of my way to visit. Viva Peru!

Oh side note half way through our meal a pianist came in and started playing some beautiful music on their Piano. Can't top that!

The food, the drinks, the service, it was all truly amazing!! The incredibly talented pianist was a huge bonus. I’ll definitely be back!

Came to celebrate wife'sbirthday. ,First time eating Peruvian dishes,it was a great experience,chicha morada was great,we had petalima as appetizer we loved it

One of the best peruvian restaurants around. The plate is so filling and delicious. I give this place 5 stars. I highly recommend as the food is absolutely delicious and so much to share with other. Great food and the service was very inviting. Definitely going back as I have gone before.
