Andy's Frozen Custard

I asked for a small cup of chocolate custard and received a chocolate sundae, which costs several dollars more. I wasn’t thrilled. But I paid and accepted the change. All in all, Andy’s is the best custard out there. We try to stop by as we travel through the area.

The line is always a little long, but the wait is worth it! I love they have two menus so as you’re briefly waiting your turn to order, you have an opportunity to think about what you want. It’s especially important given all the delicious options you have to choose from. This time my wife and I got the Freedom Berry Jackhammer and the Jitterbug Concrete, both were AMAZING! We don’t frequent here often, but when we want a special, sweet treat Andy’s is our go-to place.

What a wonderful place for custard and memories. Andy and his crew know how to make delicious treats and yummy rootbeer. What used to be just a Springfield gem is now moving across the nation. It is always a treat we love to try the "local" Andy's when we travel.

They came out to the line of cars and took orders ahead. It was great service and drive thru line moved much more quickly as a result.

Andy’s is just one of the best frozen custard treat stops around. Always something good with so many options. And the seasonal flavors are always the freshest and delish items. Today was a bootdaddy and a crunch concrete. These are the small so if any complaint would be too large of a serving. It is a meal in its self. Is there such a thing? Ha I don’t think so. But definitely a lot for your buck.

Andy’s Frozen Custard is not ice cream. It’s something else. Something better. Something smoother, creamier, and more satisfying. It’s custard, and it’s made fresh every hour, right here in this humble shop.

You can get it plain, or with any topping you can think of. They make their own brownies, cookies, pies, and cakes every day, and chop up fresh fruits and nuts. They have sauces, syrups, candies, and sprinkles. They have everything you need to make your custard dreams come true.

But if you’re feeling adventurous, you can try one of their specials. They have concretes, which are cups of custard blended with your choice of mix-ins. They have jackhammers, which are concretes with a core of hot fudge or caramel in the middle. They have sundaes, splits, shakes, malts, floats, and freezes. They have something for everyone.

I’ve tried many of their creations, and I have a few favorites. One is the BootDaddy Concrete, a glorious combination of vanilla or chocolate custard, Oreo cookies, crème caramel, and hot fudge. It’s a sweet and salty masterpiece, with a crunchy and smooth contrast that makes every bite a delight.

Another one is the James Brownie Funky Jackhammer, a truly funky twist on a classic brownie sundae. It’s a cup of custard mixed with peanut butter and brownies, with a core of hot fudge that oozes out when you dig in. It’s a gooey and nutty treat that will make you feel good.

But be warned: Andy’s Frozen Custard is not for the faint of heart. It’s not necessarily cheap, it’s certainly not healthy, and some of the creations are only available during certain seasons.

You may have to wait in line, you may have to deal with hungry crowds of people, you may have to avoid the crowds by driving to another location. You will most certainly have to face the consequences of eating too much sugar, too much fat, and loads of calories.

But trust me: it’s oh so worth it.

I got the Snowmonster concrete and it's very delicious! Surely, the best frozen custard I ever had!

We always know there will be a line, but that's expected when it comes to really good frozen yogurt. Andy's is a family favorite, and we love seeing what the new seasonal flavors and toppings are. Favorites are the Casanova, Thin Mint, and Pumkin Pie concretes!

So I have lactose intolerance, but I don’t care. Importantly, bring your own medicine before ordering it. We know, but we can’t help so much.

I love this Strawberry and Oreo Concrete and Floats - Root Beer. Wow. Very good taste.

If it wouldn’t much busy then it would be quickly in five minutes. And you can go to thru drive then order it, easy.
