I bought a New York strip before Christmas and realized I bought it too early so threw it in the freezer. Finally got it out on New Year’s Day thought oh boy - this is gonna suck. let it thaw, fried it in pan and ——- it was the best New York strip I’ve ever eaten! So tender and flavorful I love the Butcher Shop !!!

Charleston butcher shop has the best quality of meats. I'm so grateful that we have a butcher shop in Cole's county. Shout out to Cody who is the manager and the best meat prep guy . He so sweet and always ready to serve his customers. The place is clean and the meat counters are well stocked and look fresh. I do not by my meat anywhere else. Thank you for giving us qualify. Cody left, however David has stepped on his shoes and does a fantastic job.

Super friendly service every time. I appreciate that I get to see my tenderloins before I purchase them. It's usually up in the air at other places. Impressive and very fresh meat selection.

Friendly staff and squeaky clean interior. I was helped promptly with relevent product selections and answers to my questions. Pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the labor and product quality. Convenient location, but, there are some parking limitations. This could be worked around by walking, purchasing a parking pass, or ride sharing. Would reccomend this shop to locals or visitors.

The Butcher Shop has quality meats at a reasonable price. They also have all kinds of products including sauces and local honey. Customer service is top notch. I have never had a bad experience here.

The Butcher Shop has the freshest meats at competitive prices. We bought a pork loin there and it was like the prime rib of pork, as someone put it. Staff are friendly and you will not find redder beef anywhere. Have you ever gone to that big box store bought a package of meat just to find out it is sort of a reddish brown color? Well; if you are tired of that then it is time to go to get the freshest meats available, at The Butcher Shop. Oh and did I mention their prices are very competitive? They also have displays of packaged meats and specialty meats many of them you cannot get at that big box store, where you have been shopping. So next time you are in the area, instead of settling for that second class meat from the big box store get the real stuff; the fresh stuff from The Butcher Shop. You will NOT be disappointed.

First time there. Drove 30 miles to check it out will defiantly try again. Was sad there was no fresh seafood but it is a holiday weekend which i understand. The steaks look awesome that i brought home. They also had a variety of spices and sauces. The burgers and sausage looked awesome awesome as well. Need more places like this

Love this butcher shop cody the manager is so friendly and the other two helpers are great workers they make the experience fast friendly and funny.

Excellent place for the freshest meat. Competitive prices and friendly staff. You can buy the meat fresh and plain, with rub or marinated. The Butcher shop also has cold cuts, sandwiches, soups.... You are definitely missing out if you don't stop by and check them out. You will not be sorry for taking the time to make the journey to The Butcher Shop, I guarantee it.

I have been to The Butcher Shop a few times now. I am very impressed with the meat that I have bought there! The filet mignon has the best flavor and was so tender. The butterfly pork chops and the tenderized butterfly pork chops we amazing!! The customer service is top notch!! I would recommend The Butcher Shop to all my friends and family! So nice to see such a great place to buy meat and other items in Charleston!!! Thanks Guys!!

We stopped in for the grand opening. We were very impressed with their selections and the prices are very reasonable. We tried the prime burger, jalpeano and cheddar burger and mushroom and swiss burger. They were awesome! We also tried the twice baked potatoes and they were so good. One potato was enough for two people. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Charleston has needed a butcher shop for years and this one does not disappoint. We will definitely be back!

This place has a excellent selection of beef cuts. I’m visiting Charleston for work for about 2 weeks, and was recommend this shop by a local. I’m very glad for the recommendation and feel I need to pass it on. I’d give it 6/6 stars if that was a thing.

We bought 2 of their Burgandy Pepper Flat Iron steaks. They were so good! We could cut it with a butter knife, it melted in your mouth and the flavor was fantastic!
Having their Butterfly Pork Chops tonight!! Tomorrow night New York Strips!!!

Quality food. VERY clean. I've had steaks and rib tips from here. Soon, I plan to try the lunches.

Went there first time last week, let me tell you this place is the best. The brats and stuffed mushrooms I purchased were amazing! If you haven't experienced The Butcher Shop you are truly missing out, this establishments offerings are far superior to anything in the area !!!

Throw away your "big" store meat and try some outstanding meat from The Butcher Shop! I am currently eating a 1 1/2 inch ribeye cooked using a reverse sear method in a cast iron pan and it was such a good decision. I also bought some breaded mushrooms to deep fry and those were finished almost immediately. I will definitely be back for more!

Great quality, service and convenience. The burgers, marinated steaks, wrapped asparagus and loaded potatoes are Awesome. Definitely my meat destination in Coles County
