Woodstock Scoops

This is a cute little ice cream/gift shop in the middle of downtown Woodstock, Vermont! We stopped in quickly today to try their maple creemee - it was excellent! I’ve tried many maple creemees across Vermont and this was right up there with the best. If you’re wanting to try a great maple creemee, come here! They also have other ice cream, lots of maple and Vermont-themed snacks and treats, drink options, some clothing, and more gift items. It’s a really cute store and I’m happy we stopped in. I do have to say it seemed like the guy behind the counter was having a really bad day (not very friendly and was trying to rush us to pay and get out) but hey, at least the ice cream was very good. I’ll definitely be coming back purely because the creemee was so good!! Try this place out if you’re here in Woodstock and have a sweet tooth!

2023 Update: I wanted to update my last review because after my return to Woodstock this year, I had a completely different experience visiting Woodstock Scoops.

The staff member was super kind and friendly and there was quite a lot of ice cream to choose from but truly the most significant change was portion size. The Maple Pumpkin Creemee twist was amazing and great value.

So happy that management clearly listens and implements change. Already excited for next year’s visit.

2022 Review:
An ice cream shop with one flavor…what’s the point?! 45 mins before closing a grumpy cashier told us they only had one flavor left. When we said that’s not a problem and still ordered 5 ice creams we were served half cups. Obvious they didn’t want to be there and were upset we ordered anything. I think they hired the only unfriend person in Vermont.

The BEST dairy free ice cream I’ve ever had. Multiple flavor options. I had the peanut butter and it was amazing. Wish I lived closer- I’d go all the time!
My kids had sandwiches with Boar’s Head meat and soft pretzels. Everything was delicious!
The staff was super friendly as well. Definitely worth the stop!

It was fall, and I was craving somethin' maple. Loved my VT maple creemee! Very cute shop!

Super ice cream shop with friendly staff and delicious ice cream! Loved the maple creemee so much we came back a second time while in town!

Some of the best ice cream I've ever had! Very simple inside, with only around 6 different flavors. However, the portions are good for the price. And the quality of the ice cream is unbeatable, with a rich taste that screams made same day. You can really tell it is run by people who know ice cream, and is a must stop if you're looking for a scoop in town!

Delicious vegan ice cream! So happy to see somewhere in Vermont do plant-based options. Here there are four different flavours, I had the maple flavour which was really good. Thanks for having a vegan option on the menu.

Fantastic Ice cream store. & much more. I tried the maple crem soft serve. It was honestly some of the best Ice cream I’ve had in quite some time. Really exceptional business here. It was very busy but the staff did an excellent job on moving the line. I had probably 20 people in front of me and I was in and out in 15mins or less. Outstanding work team members, manager & owner who are clearly putting their hearts & souls into running this ice cream business. They have dozens of different menu items, food items, and of course Ice cream in every way possible. A must stop visit when you are in Woodstock Vermont. Thank you!!

Ice cream kind of sells itself, but this place is special! Locally-made, fantastic toppings (don’t forget to ask for maple crunch if you get a creemee), and an increasingly fun vibe. Oh, and our daughter loves working here so yes we’re biased. Go, you’ll love it! -N&EM 🍦

Three words: Sea Salt Caramel. A revolution in my tastebuds occurred when I shared this with my partner. I’m a changed man now. I also love Woodstock the town: I wish I could live here in the spring fall and summer!

We just tried a maple creemee. It was nice to try something that tourists rave about. We enjoy our experience at this shop but cannot compare it to any other creemee as it was our only during our trip. A few other good options along with ice cream you could get a fine lunch hear if the lines are long elsewhere.

We went there for the maple cremee when we were in Woodstock for the weekend and it did not disappoint. I’m not the biggest maple fan so I was pleasantly surprised when I loved my cremee. It was the perfect amount of maple and the maple crunchies were so tasty.

"When in Rome" applies to Creemee's in VT-NH (and probably the surrounding States and Canada...). My reluctance at first was not wanting to be overwhelmed with maple, maple-infused soft serve plus maple crunchy bits?? At first you think it's going to be a bit overpowering, but NO, it's a creamy explosion of goodness that won't give you a maple overload. I had a Creemee few days earlier further south, andmit was 'too much' maple in the soft serve. Woodstock Scoops nailed it, and I'm now a believer in this NE delight!! Thank you for the Creemee redemption...

Wonderful young vibe from the staff, lively music and happy customers. So grateful for this shop in our town! We can eat creamees almost any day!

This place is great. Their maple creme waffle sundae is amazing. Their ice cream is not too sweet where it numbs your tongue but is just sweet enough. The ice cream tastes very clean as well. Highly recommended!

The maple soft serve with maple sprinkles is the best and most tasteful!

Omg it’s one of the best ice cream I ever had. Definitely get the maple creamee with maple sprinkles. Wish I knew this ice cream earlier, so I could have it again.

So worth the trip. Kim the owner is a smoke show and she gave us tastes of their delicious ice cream. The maple creamy is amazing a little piece of Vermont.
