Great classic diner. A lotta personality. I gave the wait staff three options to pick for me to eat. They suggested the Country Fried Steak and it did not disappoint. Unique awesome place.

Rocks Anchor is a classic small American diner w red counter stools and a bunch of tables as well. Food was delicious. Staff was very nice!

Don't know why it's taken so long to try this place out. What a fantastic treasure of a diner up the hill from downtown. It reminds me of a small town Midwest greasy spoon but I mean that with love and affection. I could have been sitting across from my dad or grandpa, it took me back to a happy place in my childhood. The food was fantastic! I'm a bit of an omelette expert now and the Anchor omelette was one of my top two in the QC. The staff was so nice and made everyone feel like family. We'll be back for sure.

Has to be one of the best finds thus far! Great food, great service! This is what’s being cooked in grandmas kitchen on Sunday morning. It’s simply a hug on plate, they even slice the potatoes fresh to order. Prices are amazing and very affordable. Plus a little added touch all the coffee cups are slightly different and this little guy made me so happy! I can’t wait to go back!

Best omelette’s in town. So fluffy. If dive restaurants were food category Rocks would number one. Go there for the food and enjoy the atmosphere.

I took my granddaughters for lunch after their swim meet and before their brothers swim meet started. The kids menu small pancake was not small at all. It came with bacon or sausage. My other granddaughter ordered the chicken strip and fries. They were served piping hot. I had the 3 egg vegie omelet with crispy hash browns. Both were good and I have some omelet leftover for tomorrow. Friendly place and good service.

I've tried all the breakfast spots in the Quad Cities. Rocks takes the #1 spot! Consistently quality food for a reasonable price. The place is a true greasy spoon, diner/dive. Nothing fancy as far as decor goes. Just a quality spot to get a awesome meal. Looking forward to trying the lunch menu. My favorites are George's skillet and the breakfast burrito. Pancakes are huge and the French toast and biscuits and gravy were excellent.

Awesome little diner! The food was excellent! I had the breakfast burrito with sour cream and salsa. My niece had the biggest pancakes! She loved them so much.

Great little hole in the wall place, with the best corned beef hash! Likely to be a regular place for family breakfast.

I LOVE great breakfast spots. This place was fantastic! Regular fare food, not fancy with the flavor BUT everything was exactly like you'd expect, except my Pancake. It was the best damn pancake I've ever had in my life! And it wasn't even my main meal! Country fried steak was awesome and I will come back for their home-made corned beef hash!!

Awesome food and prices and portions. All very good. We both got breakfast skillets. It's enough food for 2 meals. We also tried 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy to split. Wow great biscuits and gravy with large pieces of sausage.

Awesome ambiance; very retro! Old-fashioned counter with "mushroom" rotating seats and visible grill area.

Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Four-egg omelette, hash browns, biscuit, and coffee - less than $10.00! My son and I ate for about $20.00; the same at Village Inn would have been $30.00, or more.

Friendly, responsive staff, quick service, and terrific food!

You gotta get yourself to Rock's Anchor Grill -you won't be disappointed, and you're likely to become a regular - I am!

The waffle was fluffy. The eggs were perfect. They steak was done as ordered and seasoned to perfection. The ladies cooking / waitressing were cheerful. Service in general was top rate. They have a very hard working man bussing tables. He immediately removes the dishes and thoroughly wipes everything down.
We are a few miles out of town but look forward to going back often.
Worth the trip!

Hands down of the best diner's around!!! This place reminds you of diners of old where you can see them cook everything if you sit right at the counter!!! The wait staff are so friendly along with cooks that come out to ask how the food is!!! OMG and the food is absolutely delicious!!! Just like mom and grandma would make!!! Locally owned where they care so much and what you to make you feel like family and right at home!!! Their whole menu is delicious and mouthwatering!!! Love the daily specials or the what their features they have daily! They switch it up every month too!!! If you haven't been here you're absolutely missing out!!!

Friendly, big non-judgmental after Church crowd. All customers welcome. For Vegan fare try the pecan pancakes. Use quality foodstuff, with their personal touch. not just out of the box from Sam's club.

LOVE this little mom and pop place! Staff is friendly and attentive (without being suffocating) and the food is always delicious with generous portions and low prices! We have never had bad food or service there. Probably shouldn't tell the world about it - it's one of the QC best kept secrets....
