Au Comptoir

The whole town closes around 5 and this is one of the only bars that stays open late. It’s the cutest little spot and the ambiance is perfect and the interior of the bar was done beautifully. We absolutely love the cocktails here along with the cheeseboards.

If you're in and around Woodstock, you already know the town shuts down around 5pm. It starts to get dark and you need a drink to unwind from the overwhelming events of the day. Please stop here. This place is phenomenal. The atmosphere, the people and the cocktails are great. My fiancé and I went here 2 days in a row. Just couldn't get enough. First evening we had the Manhattan Black, the autumn negroni, the au comptoir Manhattan and the cardigan right around a beautiful fire. Second night was the Leatherman, Moonlight in Vermont and then right back to the Manhattan Black and the autumn Negroni at the bar.

We were three and had two cocktails for each. All of them were so good. For food, I recommend make your own cheese board. comes with huge chunk of cheese and chorizo was also good. A cocktail is 17-20 roughly

Cozy, magical find in Woodstock. The staff were incredibly hospitable and fun. Drinks were delicious to boot— the menu is so vast it’s hard to choose!

Very good dirty Martini. Another reviewer noted that they thought one of their specialty drinks was "watered down" - not the case with my drink. Very nice wait staff (more attentive than last visit). Atmosphere is very clean and rustic. I highly recommend however this is very pricey for Vermont (as are all things in Woodstock).

Au Comptoir is a great addition to the town of Woodstock. Beautiful indoor-outdoor atmosphere with amazing cocktails, friendly and efficient service, and elegant decor. Must try the Cardigan!

Excellent bar tucked away just off the main streets in Woodstock. We tried wine, Vermont beer, and a mocktail - they were all good. The recent renovation of the building was incredibly well done and this place has great atmosphere.

Tiny cocktail bar just off the main street. Follow the signs for the welcome center. Fantastic cocktails, great atmosphere and friendly staff. The small bites were a great stop gap before dinner down the street.

Not a lot of seating, especially when it's cold outside.

Everything about this place is charming! Perfect for cocktails and a small bite before dinner. We had red wine and the gin/grapefruit cocktail- both were fantastic! Nice and funny bar staff!

Au Comptoir is stunningly beautiful and if I lived in Woodstock I would come here all the time! Just a great vibe from the decor, music, glassware, staff, clientele, etc. We didn’t eat so I can’t speak about the food but did see people eating charcuterie and it looked amazing. Can’t wait to come back! If you want to open another location, please choose Rowayton!

I can't imagine a better cocktail bar. The interior is immaculate - every detail is so well thought out and it's obvious that aesthetics are a major priority here. I loved the cocktail menu's inclusion of really well thought out mocktail options- The Sapling is unreal. We were only in Woodstock for 48 hours and spent two evenings here. The staff were so friendly- we'd make a trip back to Woodstock just to revisit Au Comptoir.

stopped in for a round of cocktails on Sunday! GREAT space, wonderful drinks, and nice hear the story of Au Comptoir/ meet Zoe and some of the staff! I loved the Bicycle Thief and our group's favorite was the Sleepy Hollow. Cant wait to stop by on our next trip up!

We stumbled upon this adorable cocktail bar and absolutely fell in love with the charm & cozy farmhouse feel. Au Comptoit has a magical ambience with delicious cocktails & small bites. We will most definitely be back. Truly a hidden gem!

100% best bar in the entire town of Woodstock, VT. During our vacation to Woodstock, we visited this establishment twice. Bartender and staff were so fun; best drinks ever; atmosphere was delightful. Truly can not wait to visit again.

Even when a handful of people flooded in backing them up a little today, the staff was still attentive and accommodating. Drinks were great especially the sidecar.

Absolutely gorgeous space. Had to go two days in a row during our stay!
