Although they are small they pack a lot of items on their 1st floor and they have a basement as well to check out. Employees have amazing knowledge, I believe they offer discounts to art students and they are really the only small business art store in the area. Definitely support these guys when you can.

I’m not really an “artist”, but they’ve never made me feel unwelcome. Always very helpful, and willing to admit when they don’t know, rather than sell you something you don’t need. Most recently I needed advice on painting my pickguard. Despite being very busy someone found me ambling the aisles and helped me figure out what I needed and where to find it. He even found the little bottles of paint to save me some money. Very cool. It turned out great imo.

Always an enjoyable experience with a professional thoughtful staff ready to answer questions and assist in anyway possible, highly recommended.

Amazing art supply store in old city! I was in desperate need of an art store and I am glad I have found this place! The staff was friendly and played good music during my visit. The shelves were well stocked and contained many different brands. I also loved the organization of the store. Highly recommend to any artist in the area!

I buy all my supplies here - CHALK included. The very best store for working artists, and i'm not sure that we as a city are worthy of how helpful the staff here are. I have witnessed them do everything possible to get the guests what they need for projects - always. Also during the pandemic THE store that held the protocol-line for staff safety and the health of the public. Vigilant. I respect that. The basement is haunted, but with great sales on canvases.

We were in the city for the day. Simply finding and walking into this store totally made my entire trip!! Everyone was SUPER nice. The selection was above and beyond what I would imagine a local business to have. The prices are very much reasonable, some are shockingly low, and the sales are great!!
Keep it up guys!! We are almost 4 hours away... But i WILL be back for more!!

I went in today for the first time. I’m new to visual arts and was very overwhelmed with where to start. I can’t say enough good things about the staff who listened to where I was at and recommended great ways to get started, walking around the store with me to show me what was what. I’ve been resisting getting started so the kindness and listening ear was what I needed. So a great place for beginners and given the wide breadth of supplies, for experienced artists too. Reasonable prices. So happy I found this place. Thank you!

The only place to get that red kuretake no. 55 marker in my left hand. Leave your bags behind the counter at the front...small power packed isles with obscure brands you can't get at Michael's or AC Moore, and they have their stuff too...suprisingly inexpensive for being in touristy higher tax bracket area. A caricaturists best friend with prisma art stix!

I love this store. It's jam-packed with supplies so I always find what I need. The salesforce has been extremely helpful with materials info when I'm trying a new technique. Once when I was buying for a class I was teaching (although I'm not a "professional" teacher) they gave me the teacher discount, which was super helpful since I was doing a class for a nonprofit. Oh, and they have lots of fun little things (and cards) that are perfect for those unusual gifts for quirky people (you know who you are!).

I just discovered this place while killing time before meeting a friend. It's wonderful! They have a great variety of things for all interests. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable but not intrusive. The atmosphere in the store is calm and laid-back. It's a lovely little oasis!

The main reason I visited this store was to buy purple and blue pens. I found so much more. The woman who helped me was very friendly, professional AND knowledgeable. The selection of pens of various colors, as well as other arts and crafts supplies, not to mention gift items is vast, to say the least. Also, the staff's commitment to keeping the store well-sanitized was quite evident when I saw another staff member cleaning the screen of the credit card/debit card payment machine. I look forward to returning to this store the next time I visit Philadelphia.

The hobby shop a few doors over was closed and took a shot here. Was greeted and assisted immediately. Staff was attentive to every customer and very friendly. The store has an impressive inventory and myriad of different crafts/supplies. They were even able to satisfy my needs for basic model building tools.

I come here fairly often and always find what I'm looking for. The prices are reasonable and the staff is helpful. They also offer a student discount.

Now THIS is an art store! Forget the big name stores, they don't hold a candle to the variety of supplies you can get at this art store.

They've got rows and rows of traditional art materials, from markers to ink and various forms of paint--watercolor, acrylic, the works. Great selection of brushes, various paper, and different sized sketchbooks. Absolutely worth the trip into Philly. We frequent this store as often as we go into the city because we can actually get the supplies we need!

Their frames, canvas, and isles are located among their downstairs floor. If accessibility is a concern feel free to ask the staff for help.
