Lake Elmo Inn

We went for Mother’s Day Brunch. If you have never gone there for brunch, treat yourself and friends/family to a memorable experience. Service was outstanding! The menu works like this; you choose an Appetizer, one Breakfast item, and one Entree. I had the Berry Berry Salad, Eggs Benedict and Lamb Chop. They also bring a sample of desserts. Heads up - they take reservations one year out. Start an annual tradition.

Great service, great food. Love the enclosed glass porch for 4 season dining! The roof opens in summer, closes in winter. Very cool!

Went for brunch as they have a lot of GF and can accommodate some DF options including substituting fruit and DF cake for dessert (dark chocolate dipped strawberries!). Everything was delicious but I suspect if you don't have dietary restrictions even better!

Can’t say enough about this place. The martini to start the evening was excellent. The food my wife and I received was incredible. The French Onion soup was exquisite. The Sin of the Inn desert has no equal. Great night out!!!

What a great little gem! The food was wonderful and familiar. There would be something for everyone. Our server Judy H. was a delight and really made the experience. It was nice and comfortable. My only complaint is a 3% service fee that is automatically added to everything. It feels like a gimmick. Just add 3% to everything across the menu. Don’t try to hide a few at the bottom of the menu. Now, we knew this fee was in place before we made our reservation and were happy to pay our bill. It’s just, what I consider, a stupid way to raise your prices. I feel like the food, service, and atmosphere are worth the higher prices.

I would be happy to recommend this place to a friend and will certainly be back to celebrate.

Held private college graduation party at Lake Elmo Inn. Fabulous, classy experience from start to finish. The event planners Candice and Linda were wonderful offering creative, thoughtful suggestions and kept me on track. The food and the service were above and beyond my expectations / absolutely divine! Guests all raved! Thank you Lake Elmo Inn for a night to remember.

This wasn't just going out for dinner, this was a dining experience from beginning to end. Our anniversary rolled around again, and I wanted to take our dinner to the next level, so convinced my wife to come to the Lake Elmo Inn. The experience was better than what we had in NYC when we lived there.

We were warmly greeted and seated. The server and staff were wonderfully attentative and helpful. Drinks came fast and were wonderful. This was the best LI Iced Tea I have ever had at a restaurant. Shortly thereafter the apps came out. We loved the Irish Truffles. After the truffles, we were offered lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate. We ordered the specials, since they both sounded amazing, king salmon and NY Strip with a cognac sauce. The entrees were excellent. After that, we moved on to desserts. Sin of the Inn was amazing. Tres Leches was fantastic. Macaroons were the best we've had. We enjoyed these with coffee. To finish things off, we were served champagne to celebrate our anniversary, and then given warm cinnamon scented towels and chocolate covered strawberries.

I will say this. The Lake Elmo Inn my not be what folks from other areas are looking for. It stays in its lane, serving a variety of delicious food, but it's not LA or NYC, it's local. They serve food from local farms, walleye, sunfish, etc. That said, Lake Elmo Inn is the gold standard for a dining experience in the east metro.

the best. Went out of her way to make sure my daughter in law got the best wine and took care of all of us beautifully. Thank you LEI.

The wife and I went out for a combination of her Birthday and Valentine's Day. Never had the chance to experience fine dining before until here. The reviews are spot on for this place, amazing food, the only thing we would ask next time on the Salmon platter if we could have it warmed vs cold. But it was still very good. I am not a big fish eater, the wife is, I actually enjoyed the Salmon. The clam chowder was fantastic. It gives grandma's chowder a run for taste. We are very excited to plan another evening here.

My husband and I went for the first time for an anniversary dinner and this place did not disappoint. It was quiet, romantic, the service was excellent and the food was WONDERFUL! I had the braised spare ribs and my husband had the prime rib. It was well worth the price. Drinks were strong, sides were amazing and the espresso mousse was so light and delicate. We’ve decided to make this our traditional every year. Highly recommend for a date night

I'll start with the food, it was all incredible. I made the comment during our meal that I wish to remain in bed for the rest of my life and have the corned beef and cabbage brought to my bedside three times a day. Everything that we ordered was spectacular! The atmosphere is very elegant. The service was amazing. Michael was our server and he was fantastic, he made sure we knew how the food was prepared and was very attentive while we dined despite being very busy with numerous tables. There is not a lot of available parking on site but there is plenty of on street parking along the main road, so you get to walk off a bit of your meal. We will be back sooner rather than later.

Always enjoying dining at Lake Elmo Inn. We had reservations for a large group (18 total) and were seated in the back room. Slightly disappointed as our group had to be separated as there was another large group that was sat 10 minutes before us. Appetizers were wonderful as were the main courses. Collectively we ordered the walleye, salmon, scallops, steaks, pasta, and lobster. We also had an array of desserts but the chocolate lava and cheesecake were crowd favorites. Was a wonderful Sunday evening as the only picture I took was of a martini.

Sunday, Valentine’s Day brunch was outstanding. Excellent and totally worth the price. Our waiter, Michael was attentive & informed. He provided excellent service. Lake Elmo Inn does not disappoint.

Was there for a gathering in the outer court and had a fantastic steak. The shrimp were the size of a babies arm.

We went for brunch and it was a really fancy experience with perfectly portioned courses. Menu changes daily but when we were there, each course included at least one vegetarian option. Unlimited champagne and coffee too.

A fabulous place to have your holiday luncheon. Be sure to make reservations at least 2 months ahead this time of year. We had the buffet and it was wonderful from the salad selection, the meat and fish selections and the vegetables. And the desserts - so many fabulous selections. Servings in petite sizes so you can try all of them. The servers are really good at what they do.

The Christmas decorations really get you in the mood to celebrate the holidays. Don't forget to look up to the ceilings for their famous ornament displays and there is always their enormous salt and pepper shaker collection.

Free Valet parking is available during these extra busy days but don't forget a tip for the valet. Super friendly and fast service.

I love the Lake Elmo Inn any time of the year but Christmas is extra special with the giant nutcrackers and festive decorations. Even as busy as they were, that took the time to take photos of our group.

Old supper club feel with decor, nice atrium seating with 9 friends. We were not rushed and server was very attentive. Fresh Carmel rolls were very good.

We love it here! It's our go-to for anniversaries or other special occasions. This was our first time dining here with kids, and it was so nice!

We got complimentary champagne for celebrating a birthday and the kids got sparkling juice with a cherry. They also got wiki sticks and an activity sheet.

The rolls are amazing and the lemon sorbet before the meal is such a special touch. All of our dinners were terrific. Even the kids menu has a wide selection beyond your basic kids menu fare. We also love the cinnamon towel and the chocolate covered strawberries.

Excellent!! Really appreciate the plated brunch. Sooo much better than the usual buffet. Great quality and service. Not rushed at all. We will be back!!

Wonderful lunch catching up with an old friend. Food made it even better and the waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend.
