Dr. Stephen J. Furs, M.D.

I have been a patient of Dr. Furs for quite along time. He is an excellent doctor, very patient, knowledgeable and kind. He is always very thorough in explaining his treatment plan and making sure I understand. I highly recommend Dr. Furs for any of your GI issues. I have referred several of my friends to him and they all speak very highly of him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Furs for many years after a referral from my PCP. Several colonoscopies and other visits have demonstrated three things to me about Dr. Furs. He knows his stuff. He keeps you in the loop on what he is finding, concerns, and a plan to move forward if needed. Finally, when sharing a personal experience with Dr. Furs, he related his own experience with care and understanding where I think most physicians would just say “so sorry” and move on.

Dr Furs and his staff are wonderful with patients; very nice and considerate. Dr Furs listens to concerns and responds thoughtfully. I felt well taken care of.

Dr. Furs is an extremely competent and personable doctor; and as a vintage patient, I have seen many doctors. He goes above and beyond to put one at ease and address the concerns. A++

Dr Furrs is by far one of the best specialists I have ever been to visit! He is patient, kind, and a very knowledgeable. The staff members I have met also seemed very knowledgeable and kind-hearted.

He gave me a hard time about not coming 15 minutes early to fill up my paperwork. Lol. That was okay though. I really really liked him. He was very personable and I felt very confident and comfortable talking to him. He was a recommendation from a fellow nurse.

Dr. Furs takes time to talk to his patients to make sure they understand risks and benefits and what the current medical knowledge is at the current time. If there are complications or problems, he listens and helps provide what is needed. He also tells you all the possibilities down the road.

A good doctor who likes to explain things thoroughly. Very personable and listens well, nice office and office staff. Five stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
UPDATE--I got a routine preventative colonoscopy by Dr. Furs. It was over before I even knew it, I had absolutely no pain or bleeding, wasn't traumatic at all. And Dr. Furs is a really nice guy. I'm set for the next 10 years! This is a good place to go.

Dr. Fur’s willingness to carefully listen to his patient and to then explain potential cure efforts is invaluable. I feel very fortunate to have found him as a health care provider almost 20 years ago.

Let me start by asking -- how many doctors would spend 40 minutes on his/her day off talking to you about your concerns regarding an upcoming imminent procedure? Dr. Furs did. He is such a down-to-earth, compassionate, patient and understanding doctor -- very hard to find these days. He listens to you and treats you like an individual -- he does not minimize or discount your concerns. He is also very knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. I trust him 150% and would highly recommend him to anyone having gastro issues and/or wanting screening procedures. I have been going to this practice for over 20 years and the doctors and nurses -- and entire staff -- are friendly, helpful, and know their business! Thank you Dr. Furs and team!
