Have had two custom rods built and I'm just amazed! It can be alot building a custom rod , especially if it's your first time like myself, and he helped me every step of the way.He answered every question I threw at him and didn't make me feel stupid , gave me his honest opinion when I couldn't make up my mind or if I wanted something done that he just knew wasn't right he told me.the first rod he made for me is hands down my favorite and even caught my Pb on it. My second rod , a 3 piece travel rod , just arrived and looks amazing , another job well done. If you need a rod built Old 87 Custom Rods won't fail to amaze you!

I bought my first rod from Jeremy at the end of 2019. As a new angler, the fear of the process was nerve wrecking since I knew nothing about building a rod and the price point was much different than the price point on the old trusty "Ugly Stick"; so the pressure was on because my mind could not afford to get this order wrong and much less to look like I didn't know anything about fishing. Jeremy was very professional and patient in guiding me through the process and educating me about rod action, power, the importance of sensitivity, and line guides along the way. Before I knew it, he had really empowered me and ignited my curiosity to learn more about specific rod builds based on my target fish. Each rod he built for me performed immacualtely and I will never go back to any other rod. Now 8 rods in, I strongly recommend you give his services a try!
