Awesome little museum with neat facts about Lake Placid and its beginnings! Lots of photos of really cool old traditions in the area predating the Olympics. I really liked the panoramic view in the hallway showcasing Main Street over the years!

Excellent little museum in an appropriate location... the old train station. Great collection of local lore covering everything from transportation to camping to the Olympics. This is a real gem. Don't miss it!

Small, non-profit museum that showcases the history of Lake Placid and North Elba. Located at the old train station (trains do not run anymore), it is a charming organization.
