The Wurst Shop

Our family stopped in to purchase coffee and to check out the local bison and elk meat. Turns out The Wurst Shop was the BEST shop. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. We got to sample the sausage and bologna before we decided which one to purchase. We ended up purchasing a whole lot more.

There’s local honey, all sorts of meat, seafood, and cheese. We were introduced to kuchen and even got to sample that as well. What a great shop to have nearby that sells local and supports the community!

Very cool shop that had been cleaned out for the 4th. They did have some jerky, and Halva which were both very good. Steaks looked pretty good. They had frozen crab and lobster too. Talked to the owner’s son who was very friendly. Very cool selection of jellies I had never seen before. Grabbed a selection a friend said were good and more local.

Everyone was very polite there. The meats are fabulous. Especially the sausages (including head cheese and liver sausage) and they don't need MSG to taste good. Bravo to The Wurst Shop!!!

I was promptly greeted by the friendly staff, which was great. She showed me a few of their different featured products. I browsed for a short bit and they have some great stuff. I saw several different types of jams, spices, and local breads and desserts.
The in-house sausage was very tasty! Will definitely be back when driving through Dickinson.

Very interesting meat selections. I picked ground buffalo, buffalo/elk brats, summer sausage and beef sticks.

Love this place!!! We happened to find this place while staying at North Park Campground. The staff was more than friendly, they made us feel like we were walking to one of our neighbor's kitchen and they wanted us to try their cooking out! We love their beef sticks, sausages, and variety of meats. When they found out we never had Kuchen before they tore one open and had our family try some of the raspberry lemonade flavor one. It was a instant hit and the family had to get some for the freezer. Before leaving Dickinson to the Black Hills of SD, we stopped by to refill on the goodies to stock up for the next week. Couldn't have been luckier to have had the opportunity stop in here👍🏽

The people who work there are always so kind. Had a question about if their brats are processed and found that they are not, so good to hear. I love their meats and prices are always reasonable. Thank you for your time and help

Every time I come to Dickinson, I have to get my homemade sausage fix to take home.
I've been coming here sporadically for years and have taken their wonderful eats to Canada, New York, Virginia and Texas, wherever I've been living.
No higher praise is possible.

I love their liver sausage and their head cheese. They also make ghost pepper jack cheese, it's super hot but good. They have a restaurant with daily special's. They sell deep fried Peanuts which is really good and their smoked turkey is the best. It's clean and the employees are friendly. Their beef sticks are the best I have ever had. They also sell spices and soup mixes and they have cookbooks and jellies. Which all is very good. All their cheese's are really good.

I always grab some of their Halva & Dakota's Best gourmet ground coffee! Always fresh. There's also a variety of jerky - buffalo, etc., sausages, jams & jellies. Friendly store for shopping locally.

My god!!!! The best meal I’ve had in months. I had the Chef’s platter special which was their tri-tip, a side (1/2 Mac 1/2 corn with jalapeños), and a brat on a bed of sour kraut with onions and peppers on top.
If you’re coming through town swing in. This is great food!

A generous portion of beef on a bun! I had to eat the beef that was falling out of the sandwich before I could even pick it up. It was hard to choose a side because of the variety and appeal. My husband had mac and cheese and I had th ed steakhouse potato salad. All delicious.

The very BEST place to eat in dickinson! Even if you dont make it in time to eat here, the smoked pork chops and sausage is amazing. Im from Louisiana and since leaving home I could not find any type of sausage nearly as good. The Wurst shop is the best.

Tasted like holidays at my Grandma's. The tri-tip melts in your mouth and all the sides have a personal touch that scream home cooking. It takes a while to get served but lovely Helana makes it worth the wait. A-pluses all day but get there early or they may be sold out of your favorite. The store should add the term 'luncheonette' in the description and include the hours which are from 11am to 3pm, Tuesday thru Saturday.

No longer serves food at tabled but it's still a wonderful throwback to the friendly butcher shop of yore. Home-made liverwurst is excellent!

They have every kind of meat and cut you could think of. And it's always fresh!! Want elk or goose? They have it. Want frog legs? They have that too. Knowledgeable and always friendly.

Yummy sausages. Great variety! Lots of German favorites. We will definitely stop again when we come through.

Good and delicious food. Reasonable price. Need some touch with cooking area. One of the best French deep sandwich...

So good so delicious by far hands down the best place I have eaten in a long time great service good atmosphere definitely in my top 3 favorite places to eat in Dickinson
