I could not be happier or more satisfied with the service provided by Ron of Gold & Gems. I recently went in to purchase a ring and Ron found just what I had in mind and managed to bring the price down to a sum that was affordable to my budget. He even put a rush on it when it needed to be sized and I wanted it for a specific event. It was a very pleasant experience! I highly recommend Ron and Gold & Gems.

He's a great listener and understood what I was looking for. With the information that I gave him, he found the perfect option! I'm absolutely over the moon with the custom rings Ron made for me! He made my dream come true of resetting my grandmother's engagement ring. It's so beautiful, and he was able to reuse the metal from the old setting to create the new setting. He also created a beautiful diamond stacking band for me. I was looking for elegant, timeless pieces, and he more than delivered! All of the communication was done from afar as I live in Montana. Ron was so kind in all of our emails and the few phone calls we had. Once the items were finished, it arrived in the mail very quickly.

Ron Hansen at Gold and Gems is by far the best jeweler on the west coast. I am lucky enough to have grown up in Ashland and been around them all my life. When I got engaged, Ron custom made the engagement ring. I didn't have a lot of money and Ron made something so special on my budget. I am lucky enough 10 years later to celebrate an anniversary with my Wife and a new wedding ring that Ron designed and custom made from my wife's vision. He is an artist, plain and simple. Thank you Ron for making my wife's vision come to reality and allowing me to slip on a new wedding ring on my wife's finger. You are the only jeweler we will ever use and I recommend everyone on the west coast to call him, he will make your visions and dreams come true. CANNOT RECOMMEND RON AND HIS BUSINESS ENOUGH! I was looking for a unique engagement ring with some very specific likes and dislikes.
From the very outset, Ron deeply listened, patiently showed me different designs, asked me the right questions so I could actually figure out what I wanted.
He then spent time creating a gorgeous custom design for me, emailed me the draft photographs and made me a mould I could try it on. Throughout the process, Ron went above and beyond with customer service and made it a very fun and easy process.
I have now got the ring of my dreams. I would give him 10+ stars if I could.
Don't waste your time going to other jewelers in the area, trust me and go to Ron. This is a family business that embodies their values in every interaction with customers. The very best!

I had a fantastic experience with Gold and Gems in Ashland Oregon! The customer service was excellent, and the jewelry work was of the finest quality. Ron listened to what I wanted, and then created a pair of truly spectacular Oregon Sunstone earrings for me that sparkle like sunlight on water! Rich and Ron were able to take great care of me finding a wedding ring. I explained how i dislike the feeling of most rings, and wanted something planish but not just gold. I was worried about this as i've always HATED wearing rings of any type, but can't exactly not wear my wedding ring...well, not without complaints from a certain someone.

They were able to quickly recommend a textured style ring that has rounded edges so it doesn't feel like wearing a normal ring. It is white gold and fits perfectly. The price was abit less then i actually expected too.

I bought 14k gold hoop earrings from here this week, and I am so pleased! They are exactly what I've been looking for, just perfect, and a good price. The first real gold I've owned. Ron was super kind and made me feel welcome!

Gold & Gems is the best place to go to get repairs. I initially felt embarrassed bringing in my tiny silver ring to get a new stone after the old one fell out. It’s not an expensive ring by any means, but it’s very important to me. They made me feel like my ring was just as special as an expensive piece. Lisa worked with my budget and made it incredibly affordable for me. They took great care, restored it to perfection and added a beautiful stone. It looks like a completely new ring! I can’t thank Ron and Lisa enough for the thought and care they put into my ring. If I ever need affordable jewelry or repairs again I will be heading to Gold and Gems. I strongly recommend this shop.

I truly cannot say enough great things about Gold & Gems and Ron! My husband and I had a very specific and inquire engagement ring we wanted and Ron went to great lengths and effort to design the ring we wanted. Just recently I reached out to Ron to inquire about the possibility of adding a wedding ring and he knew exactly what I wanted and created my ring PERFECTLY. It was crazy how easy it was, he seriously knows this business, knows exactly what you want, and ensures it's done perfectly. Thank you SO much! I had to get my engagement ring that I bought from Costco resized and Ron was so helpful during the whole process. He was very attentive to detail and really made me feel like I was getting the best service possible. My ring fits great now and I was able to get it back the same day! I will definitely be getting my wedding band made from here and I definitely recommend going here for any jewelry needs!

Ron is the man. I did a surprise proposal to my now fiancé. Ron was so helpful, all the while being discreet. I live out of town, so we did everything Via email, phone calls, and text. He helped me pick out an AMAZING Diamond. It blew my fiancé away and she's already gotten so many compliments.

Ron has been absolutely fantastic! He gave us an honest opinion on a ring that I had purchased at a large chain store to propose to my fiance. His very fair evaluation of the ring and supportive advice made us chose to use Gold & Gems instead, and we returned the original ring. Ron proceeded to craft us a unique set of rings for our special day, incorporating the diamond and metal from my fiance's mother's ring into her custom ring. Hands down the BEST jeweler on the West Coast!

First off, even browsing for engagement rings through the mainstream jewelers was a nightmare. It constantly felt like the brand and the sale was more important than the client - that we were just a number. It was unsettling even thinking about making a life-long investment and commitment to people who literally fight over the sale right in front of you!

However, at Gold & Gems, my fiancé and I instantly felt welcomed the very first time we walked through the doors. Ron listened and worked closely with us to create our dream ring and stay within our budget. He kept us updated every step of the way, answered all of our questions honestly, and gave very helpful suggestions. Every bit of love for his work shines in the details. From start to finish my experience with this store was excellent. Ron was kind, responsive, helpful and enthusiastic about my plan to reset a ring for my daughter's 16th birthday. When the first saphire lacked sparkle, he set our to find another one without any resentment or furstration. He also gave me a free estimate of the stone I took out, and a thorough explanation about his number. I don't usually spend much time in a jewelry store but this place made me want to start collecting! It's awesome to have a great local jeweler who is extremely trustworthy.

My husband first walked into Gold and Gems looking for an engagement ring for me. Richard was very helpful and reassuring and Fred ended up taking a sample home with which to propose. When we later returned to find the actual engagement ring, I was looking for a new setting with which we could use my mother's diamond... one that would make my new engagement ring truly my own. We worked with Richard again and ultimately purchased an exquisite Claude Thibaudeau setting at a very fair price in which he set my mother's diamond. Wow!! What a ring I now have! Gorgeous!!!

We later worked with Ron to find our perfect wedding rings. For mine, as the Thibaudeau matching wedding ring was far out of our price range, Ron custom made a similar ring for us at a much more affordable price. And Fred loves his wedding ring as well.

Ron, Katherine and Richard are all joys to do business with. We can't imagine buying jewelry anywhere else.
