Delicious food, fresh and great prices!

I was stuck at Carrboro laundry mat at noon. Stopped by and had a veggie quesadilla . Excellent. We have a small Mexican restaurant in Dayton , Ohio where we had been living that was great. This place was on par. Huge serving and reasonable prices. The young gal at the register was very nice. Very good food.

The gorditas are the best in chapel hill/carrboro!! In general other places are better for Mexican food but not the gorditas. I always get them with carne asada so can't say much about the other fillings. The salsas are just ok. The store has lots of Mexican and latin ingredients and an awesome selection of hot sauces.

The beefs tongue they serve is the best I've ever had! Recommended on anything you get.

I have been living in Carrboro for a little over 6 years now and I have yet to find another place that offers the same authentic menu such as they do here. Excellent pricing for what you are getting along with speedy reputation. They season their meat to near perfection. That aside, for any people trying it for the first time, I'd highly recommend a steak burrito as it is large with plenty of filling inside and served with a fresh side salad. Tacos are also a safe bet if you are simply trying to sample their meat. They also serve a Salvadorean item known as pupusas; which are quite delicious and more utensil friendly.

Absolutely delicious food, good prices on their groceries and unique items that are hard to find other places. Best chorizo on the planet at 4.99 a pound. Definitely worth a visit or 12.

The name has changed, it's now Taqueria Bajillo. Excellent food, very reasonable prices. I can get gorditas for dinner for 4 people for $14.

Great "carnitas" (slow cooked pork) and fresh made sides. Clean and cozy place.

Best taqueria i've been to since moving from Phoenix, feels like home. Can only get better tacos at the Durham flea market
