Life saver! I went at 7:00 am and used the kiosk to print my postage stamp (priority flat rate) then dropped my package in the drop-off drawer. I needed a USPS location that was open early to get all of my services done and this place was perfect. Thank you!

What can I say… like all USPS locations this one seems under staffed and the folks who are working must be over worked. Bless them! Long lines every time I come. I appreciate being able to send packages and letters. This location is also open till 6 most days as well as on Saturdays. The broken and boarded up windows give this location a gritty feel, well to be honest that’s pretty much all of Portland these days. Sheesh! What’s happened to our city?! Please vote!!!

It's USPS... expect long lines, overworked staff, low stock in shipping supplies, and agitated customers. As long as I can get my packages mailed I'm happy. Also this location is open Saturdays so that's a plus! Note: There is some construction going on so parking is limited.

Whoever was working there this morning is a rockstar! I didn’t catch her name but there were about 5 people in line in front of me first thing in the morning and she was friendly and efficient with everyone. I needed a passport renewal and didn’t have an appt, but she said “no problem” had me in and out of there in 15 minutes while helping other customers!

I have noticed a definite improvement in service at this branch over the last few months, shorter lines and smoother operation. The agent who helped me today has maybe been there a year. He is always calm, but always moving and problem solves as he goes. I got there today with no one in line. A guy doing a passport app was just stepping up to the window. When this agent saw that I had a package he asked if I was just dropping off. I said yes, (prepaid) and in 30 seconds he had weighed the package and printed a receipt for me. Really he was taking care of two people at once. I need to check for his name next time so he gets credit for how polite he is and how very well he does his job. (Tall, slender, brown hair and late 20s-early 30s). Thanks!

Easy, and there was a line but it was fast. The postal workers are very nice and helpful.

Our mail delivery people are always pleasant. The postal workers at the actual office are always helpful and nice. I have seen them get somewhat irritated with rude/annoying customers. By annoying I mean, coming in and complaining that you haven't gotten mail for 3 days, and you get mail EVERY day, so something must be wrong, and it's the USPSs fault!! Really?
Or getting rude because you stood in the passport line for 10 minutes only to be told that you were in the wrong line and then you verbally berate the postal worker because you're too stupid to read the sign at the beginning of the counter that separates the lines.

The wait time is pretty standard for a PO. If you REALLY want a long wait, try a post office on a military base. Ask me how I know!
They usually have all the flat rate and free shipping materials available.
Here's a hint for you, don't use anything that says "priority" or "express" on it if you don't want to pay the price for those services! So no you cannot use the free stuff and then pay for the cheapest post. That's not their fault. It's yours for being an idiot!

I have nothing but respect for these hard working people. This is a hard, thankless job.
My grandma retired as Post-Master from my hometown PO. My dad used to do seasonal work, & my grandpa was the maintenance manager for years. I've been all over the 3 main post offices from home and let me tell you something, these people work their asses off and have to deal with rude idiots all day long.

I have never had a problem here! I ship at least two packages a week here and they always get to my buyers in a VERY timely fashion. Never really stood in line to recieve full on customer service from the employees but as far as the shipping process itself goes... they are definitely doing something right! Thanks guys :)

I have two items to comment on:
-the customer service staff at the postal office is excellent and consistent. They see and receive it all from the general public. I have observed challenging situations with language barriers, impatient customers, those who arrive unprepared -expecting the staff to do everything for them, belligerent people who just seem out to abuse someone , and also the majority of the public who are cooperative and nice.. all handled with grace , professional courtesy and consistency.
-the carriers that deliver mail to my home are excellent and very considerate. My home along 117th Avenue is prone to mail theft and porch pirates but the carriers cooperate with my padlock to secure my mail box and often bring the items to my door. I could not ask for more. This is one way to say “thank you.”

I go to this post office quite often and the employees here have always been friendly to me. They put up with people coming in with packages that are not correctly labeled or don't have the correct paperwork prepared and being human I'm sure they get frustrated; however, they do a good job answering questions or explaining to people what needs to be done. I think the CUSTOMERS, not the postal workers, are to blame for any longer than expected wait time. USPS has a very comprehensive website and literature is available at the post office, yet people go in with the expectation that the postal worker should do it all for them. So please don't blame the people working a difficult job for the inadequacies of the person in line in front of you. They're just trying to do their job. And at this location, they do it quite nicely. I know I couldn't do it. Could you?

The staff was very helpful and answered my questions about overnighting an item. The lady behind the counter even sealed my overnight envelope when she saw I was somewhat challenged because it was bulky.
