Ordered an ice cream cake a few weeks ago for my cousin's birthday. Everytime I order Carvel it's like going back to when I was a kid. Everything was great...not much has changed and glad they are still going strong.

Had a great experience getting a birthday fudgy the whale. I had my hands full and the staff helped me load my car.

I stopped in to get my grandson and I some delicious soft serve ice creams! He got chocolate with chocolate sprinkles and I got vanilla with rainbow sprinkles! Yummm! ( :

Located in Newington. Traditional soft serve Carvel offerings and classic ice cream cakes like Fudgie the Whale. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Plus they have classic sundae bogo Wednesdays.

In my book, Carvel is the best soft serve ice cream. The Newington shop is very friendly, locally owned and also offers hard ice cream. No inside tables, but lots of outside seating and small town charm. Especially enjoyable on a summer evening sitting under the lighted trees.

Took my grandson and he loves to go downtown with his Papa . Nothing better than time with your grandson and ice cream.

I was born in Newington in 1946 and lived on Ellsworth Street, one block.away The ice cream parlor i went to was at this exact same location. Now Carvel.
Ice cream cones where 5 cents. I walked up there when i was five years old. It is a wonderful memory l 5 stars always

Wow so comparing this location to the glastonbury one is like comparing apples to oranges. This was so nice to go to REAL ice cream location where it's clean, customer service is exceptional, and they actually have a real menu where they haven't run out of 80% of the menu. Also i realize there aren't many carvels left so after that horrible experience in glastonbury, I was done with carvel(well besides the cakes at stop&shop) Lol..so to find this location and it be a great experience for my family and I, was a real eye opener. So again thank you Carvel salute to your staff yall deserve 6 stars!! 🐐 status!😉

Favorite local ice cream store! Their covid precautions are great (only 5 guests in the store at a time) and the ice cream and ice cream cakes are delicious! Each Wednesday is a fantastic deal with buy one - get one on soft serve sundaes! I refuse to get my birthday cake from anywhere else!

Great place to just go get a milk shake or a soft serve ice cream. Last time I went I got an ice cream cake for my fiancé and they wrote happy bday and his name. Henry nice
