Every time I visit here the coffee is consistently delicious and well made and the baristas are above and beyond friendly. They are patient and kind in helping you decide what to order, and keeping your tab open in case you want to order again. They collect your dishes and make your visit very enjoyable. The food is always delicious as well. Definitely recommend visiting!!

Canary Coffee Shop in Milwaukee exceeded my expectations. The staff's friendliness stood out, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The coffee quality was impressive, delivering a satisfying brew. The almond croissant was a delightful accompaniment, perfectly flaky and flavorful. Though the overall atmosphere was just okay, the exceptional service and delicious offerings make it a noteworthy spot for coffee enthusiasts in Milwaukee.

Amazing specialty coffee shop! Hand crafted espresso drinks hand delivered to your seat. Above average service, friendly baristas, in a sheek clean cafe. Cappuccino and pour over were top quality. Don't hesitate if you enjoy quality coffee.

This place is consistently good. A little too good even, I've genuinely considered gatekeeping this gem of a coffee shop. Whoever's in charge of the playlist needs a raise (they once skipped my favorite song within the first 10 seconds but I'll forgive that lol.) Beware that there will be way too many hot but quiet nerds just doing their thing here on any given day.

Very cute place. Parking can be hard as it always is downtown. Coffee was really good and so were the bakery items that are available.

I’ve been in town on work and this has been my go to over the flooded Starbucks at the hotel. The shop is cute, the staff is so great, and the coffee is really good. I e enjoyed a couple seasonal drinks this week and one of their scones - it’s all been delicious. Great alternative for those looking to escape a national chain!

Canary is a gem in the city. The atmosphere is industrial but very cozy and comfortable. The coffee is absolutely top notch. They are a multi-roaster shop that gets the best coffee from various top roasters around the country. Adam pulled me a perfectly balanced espresso and made a beautiful Chemex for my partner. We also had the lemon poppy muffins and they were delicious. Overall, knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled baristas, great product, and beautiful atmosphere. Must be on your list for Milwaukee coffee!

Was on my saved list for a while and finally got a chance to stop by and get an awesome cup of coffee from this gem of a place. Love it when you anticipate and wait and are rewarded with an excellent cup of Americano! When the menu is limited you know they mean serious business.

Awesome baristas who know their craft and can put together a delicious cup of coffee customized to your taste. They also had yummy treats offered as well!

omg what a cutie cutie cafe!!! service was amazing. the barista was so kind and patient and even made my little sister feel good about her drink choice. the ambiance was chill for being in downtown and the art and lighting added so much to the space.

Such good coffee. I always opt to go to local coffee shops and not chains and I got a rose cardamom latte. I love all types of floral coffee and this was delicious. If I’m ever in Milwaukee again, I will be back.

Great relaxing atmosphere for coffee and conversation. Muffins were fresh and full of flavor, latte was rich and customer service was too notch.

Really enjoyed the barista here. Full of fun conversation, quality service, and delicious coffee! I really dug the vibe of the shop, and would love to chill out there with a book or catch up with a friend. Highly recommend visiting!

Excellent coffee and very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The barista welcomed me as I entered and offered up recommendations as he poured shots.

The avocado toast didn’t have chimichurri on it for some reason (pandemic related, somehow?), but everything was excellent otherwise.

I’m not into flavored lattes, but they had quite a few that seemed pretty legit. Like, not just “add syrupy artificial-tasting sweetener” like most, but well-thought-out complementary flavors.

if you're able to get served by 'Colin' consider yourself lucky! he was absolutely incredible when it came to being knowledgeable about any and all coffee questions. we ordered a "flight" and were basically transported to a coffee 101 class. he poured the coffee one by one and explained almost everything to us about each one. his suggestion was also delicious! i can only say that this place absolutely exceeded our expectations when visiting milwaukee.

We tried Canary Coffee bar for the first time and loved it - they have a traditional/standard coffee and tea menu as well as an extensive seasonal menu upon request. The barista was extremely helpful while we chose our drinks and food. We tried a savory scone-bacon, cheddar and jalapeño and it was absolutely delicious. I wish I could purchase bags of these scones. They also have a variety of muffins and brownies. I tried the almost ice cream drink - it is an espresso drink with cream, chocolate, caramel and malt powder. It was heavenly and lived up to its name, tasting like a malted milkshake. My partner and I agreed that we could drink 5 of them with no regrets. If you like mochas/chocolatey coffee drinks and are able to go while it’s on the seasonal menu that is the drink for you. My partner got a honey vanilla latte-it was wonderfully balanced-not too sweet so that you could still taste the coffee notes. Cute latte art of course. After our coffees we also wanted to purchase some coffee beans and the barista was extremely knowledgeable about the coffee they sold and was able to tell us what the beans would taste like when brewed, what his favorite style of brew was with the beans - absolutely amazing. The place is decorated very clean and modern - black leather chairs with gold legs, minimalistic design with hanging plants and floating shelves. You can sit at the bar on blue velvet stools and strike up a conversation with the baristas when it’s not busy. It’s very pretty and an overall great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Lovely space with lovely people working. I felt like both workers on each day I went were interested in genuinely connecting with the customers. My flat white was great, as well as my iced americano. I don’t know how often I’ll be in Milwaukee, but it was a delight.
