Pearlfield Bistro & Bakehouse

Just WOW! 🧡. Everything was just delicious! This was my first time visiting and I ordered takeout just before they closed. The "Veg Out" sandwich was phenomenal! Bursting with color and flavor! It came with a pickle spear and a generous amount of kettle chips as well. The potato bacon soup I believe is probably the best I've ever tried. And, the "Apple Surprise" pastry was certainly that - very tasty! Can't wait to go back! Amazing place - we are so lucky here in a relatively small town to have some really good restaurants to choose from. Thank you for investing in our town, especially our downtown!

Earlier today, I had lunch at Pearlfield Bistro & Bakehouse.

When I entered the building, I was immediately impressed with the interior. Gone is the old drab, and run down interior from the former restaurant. Instead the new interior is clean, modern, and felt warm and welcoming. There was also some nice mood music in the background that seemed to fit nicely with the interior.

As for the staff, they were all very friendly and attentive to our needs for the whole time that we were there. Which is really saying something, as they were also very busy at the same time.

Their menu is simple and straight forward, with offerings mainly of sandwiches, soups, and grain bowls. Most all of the sandwiches on the menu sounded tasty and I will have to return here again in order to try them.

The sandwich I settled on is called, "The Ultimate Egg" sandwich. The sandwich itself consists of egg, ham, cheddar cheese, pickled red onions, arugula, balsamic vinaigrette, and honey butter. All grilled and served atop a bread that the menu refers to as, "English Muffin Bread". This all combines extremely well to make a super delicious sandwich!

Not surprisingly, the egg, cheese, and ham went great together. And the arugula and red onions did a wonderful job at further accenting these flavors. The balsamic vinaigrette and honey butter added a wonderful mix of sweet and sour to this sandwich. Which really helped separate this sandwich from your everyday run of the mill ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches.

Generally speaking, most ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches are considered a breakfast item. However I would not classify this sandwich as a breakfast item only, as it easily can be eaten at breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

With my sandwich, I also received a side salad. The side salad itself was well, a salad. Nothing overly special, yet I will say that the honey dressing was delightful!

Bottom line, I will definitely be coming here again in the future.

The food was delicious, healthy, and flavourful. I was very impressed by the quality of the food. Great service, everyone was kind and friendly, we had a great brunch and a good time. The place had cute decorations and a cozy atmosphere.

The food is delicious! The service is friendly and excellent. Mrs. Cosgrove is always so helpful and kind. A wonderful eatery choice for the residents of Richland Center.

My new favorite restaurant in Center! The food was amazing and the staff and the owner were so nice!! They did such a great job!! I got the Mushroom pasta bowl with added steak 10/10!

Soft opening today, split two sandwiches (Ultimate Egg & Cabbage Roll), a bowl of soup (Chicken Tahini Lentil), and a grain bowl (Chicken/Mushroom/Bacon)with my son…AMAZING! Family next to us said they tried the Hot Honey Chicken, and said they loved it! Food was absolutely delicious, service was friendly…looking forward to trying the rest of the menu, will definitely be back!

Never would have expected a place like this in Richland Center. The house salad had great flavor and the veggies were super fresh. My wife had the mushroom pasta dish and enjoyed it immensely. I had the sandwich special, a beef sandwich with a special slaw and aioli. Delicious. The sour dough bread they use is exceptional. We also tried a fruit tart pastry and it was amazing

Very friendly little cafe with fresh delicious food! We found this little gem on our way through Richland Center and was very pleasantly surprised by a very fresh delicious veg bowl and salad. I ordered the chicken bacon salad but had them hold the bacon and cheese in wish they did happily. It was perfect, but if you want the extra protein...

They even had RC cola which was kinda odd a treat cuz it's hard to find... and it was nice a cold.

A pleasant little restaurant. The dining area, had a nice open feeling. We were there for lunch and while not crowded, there was a fair stream of customers. You order your food at the counter and it is brought to your table. The menu is not very large, but this is a good thing. They are focused on preparing a small number of very good dishes. We'll definitely be back.

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had! I live 6 hours away, and I've considered visiting Richland Center, specifically for Pearlfield.

Recently took a trip to Richland Center to visit my brother and sister-in-law. We went to Pearlfield Bistro for lunch. It was such a quaint & welcoming place. I ordered the Mr B Grilled Ham and Cheese. It was wonderful! The sweets/deserts looked scrumptious - wish I had saved room to indulge. Everything I saw served to customers looked so good. I must go back soon to try another dish. I highly recommend stopping by to meet the owners (Mike & Lindsey) and enjoy the wonderful food.

First visit and very impressed! Busy lunchtime was handled with ease by friendly staff. I ordered the roasted tomato and carrot bisque soup and the winter beet salad. Both were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The salad was larger than anticipated, so I had leftovers to enjoy. Excellent coffee too. Desserts looked tempting, maybe next time!

Really excited to have this cozy little place in Richland Center. The food is unique and DELISH, and although the building is small, it's done up so perfectly. But you don't have to sit and eat, they are quick with to-go orders too! 5+ stars!

The Veg Out sandwich was superb!!! From the bread, to the mushroom pate & deliciously savory roasted veggies- every bite was perfect. Cute place & atmosphere. Will absolutely go back.

Great hospitality, great food, they went above and beyond! Had the lamb burger special. It was a refreshing meal in the middle of a hot summer day. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting.

Amazing! Had lunch there today and everything was absolutely delicious. My husband and I had sandwiches that were delicious and filling and everyone in my party loved their food. Such a great addition to Richland Center.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Pearlfield Bistro. Staff was attentive and made us feel welcome. Only a table or two were vacant during our visit. Richland Center has a wonderful new place to take family and friends.

Outstanding, delicious food. We had the veg out and mushroom pasta. Very innovative. Big city has nothing on this place. Will become regular patrons
