Relax The Back

Came in looking for an office chair— We didn’t know what we were looking for, and David was so helpful in answering our questions and providing recommendations. Definitely recommend checking the store out!

It’s been a long overdue review since My family stepped into the Relax the Back store in Thousand Oaks. We were there Christmas Eve to test try some massage chairs. David Taback was there showing us the various options of massage chairs. I have never met someone so helpful and knowledgeable as David. We then explored the many different things such as beds, chairs, and inverter table.

The service and delivery was excellent!! The guys who did the delivery and install were very thoughtful.

David in here provides fair unbiased advice, he is friendly and funny. He educated us for our office chair and provides demos and had us try out several other awesome products. I went back just to try more products because of his welcoming nature. Great service & value place through and through.

David is a rockstar! From the moment we walked into the store, he was accommodating though busy and did not apply any salesman like pressure. He simply pointed out the floor models which offered the best price and the features we were seeking. Being pregnant and dealing with severe acid reflux, he made a point of ordering our chair immediately. He also offered a military discount for my veteran husband. He knew it was a priority that we secure the chair as soon as possible for comfort, sitting up to minimize the effects of my condition, and eventually for breastfeeding comfort.

He called two weeks later to let us know he could deliver the floor model and then replace it with the newly ordered chair which the warehouse did not yet have in stock.

We kept the floor model for a few weeks and then David delivered — our new chair arrived without a hitch! Great delivery service and a wonderful all around experience!

My brother and I visited the Thousand Oaks store for different reasons - he has swollen legs and I have severe sleep apnea, and was looking for a way to sit up in bed while sleeping. The salesman quickly greeted us, introduced himself as David, and asked what issues we had. Without pressuring us or guiding us to the priciest items in the store, he answered our questions and made a few recommendations; for me there was a four pillow combination designed for sleeping or watching TV in bed for $250, as well as other solutions costing much more. David impressed me because he actually suggested I try the less expensive items, rather than pushing me to buy the high dollar stuff, as most sales folks do.
The products were extremely helpful (I bought the four pillow combo, while keeping the expensive recliner in mind for a future purchase.) I'm sure we'll be visiting David and his store again.

This is not my first time in Relax the back...but I wanted to take the time to write this review based on a recent visit. This store has a variety of therapeutic and coping products. Mostly geared toward muscular strain, but a few, like the inversion table lends to disc compression, degeneration, bulges and herniations. I have made purchases over the last 3 years or so, when I believed my back issues were muscular. Turns out it was disc degeneration. So not everything works for everyone, but if you have a back problem, you MUST visit this store. They have a lot of inventory that may be applicable for your condition. They get new stuff periodically, which is why I periodically come in. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The products are quality. Highly recommend if you have a back problem.

I own a very old, but very comfortable Relax The Back computer desk chair. Then one of the arm pads broke off. There was no serial number on the chair, but the staff worked tirelessly with me to find the right arm and pad to repair my chair. Now it is as good as new and as comfortable as ever!

Best place for get your right office chair

Very nice staff, quick and courteous service.

I had an issue with the piston in my $2800 chair that is under warranty for 5 years. After several calls to reach someone at the store , I was told I had to pay $20 for a new piston. They said I could replace it myself. I could not get the old piston out and was told by the store after a 3 week response time that my chair under warranty would cost $100 if they came out, or $50 if I brought the chair back to the store. The chair is very heavy and I bought for back problems so I was not happy with the service of the store in this case. I have not resolved this issue so I am still using the chair with the old bad piston lift.
