Vig Guitars

The folks at Vig are simply the best. I've purchased an acoustic bass there and had them do a setup and small upgrade on my P-Bass, and I was super pleased with everything. They're friendly and informative too! Can't recommend any higher.

Wanted to post a few before and after pics of a guitar that Vig Guitars just got done saving for me. Could NOT be any happier ( there may have been a few tears ) with how this repair came out!!! 😆
Quick backstory : Purchased this gorgeous Ibanez acoustic/electric online through REVERB and the shipper CRUSHED it. Took it to Vig Guitars to see if it could be saved and Ted assured me it could. When asked if the tone would suffer he looked at me over his glasses and very confidently and bluntly stated, “ Not if WE do the repair “.
Cut to a little over a month later ( GOOD luthiers are busy luthiers ) and I am picking it up. Holy HECK does this thing sound amazing! ( I wasn’t able to play it before it was damaged but it sounds as good as my beloved Alvarez ). Also it’s such a beautiful looking guitar still too.
If you EVER need a guitar repaired, set up, cleaned, pickups swapped, ANYTHING, get it to the folks at Vig Guitars!
Master craftsman, nuff said!

Friendly staff. They said they do a lot of repairs, but they also had some cool used guitars and amps. Bought a pedal.

Brought in a Tele I bought on-line that needed a set-up. Which I've done on many other guitars I own but I couldn't get this one right. So I brought it to Vig. When I got it home last night, it sang without even being plugged in... I played for almost 4 hours. Awesome people, awesome service. Absolutely Top Notch. ALSO, would like to add that I recently purchased an Eastwood Baritone that I know love, and brought in a 68 Univox for a custom humbucker. Which turned out beautifully.

Incredibly good, kind people who do a phenomenal job at reasonable prices. They keep their expected turn around times fairly updated on their website, and that's very helpful! Got my P-bass worked on, and I'm very happy with it. Will return for future repairs!

The bridge came loose on my Martin laminate body acoustic. They did the bridge repair and a set up and new strings. Plays great! They know what they are doing. With a laminate body, there are special adhesives that are required. My son recommended Vig, as he had had repairs done there before.

Friendly and expert service! Easily my favorite guitar shop.

The custom wound pickup on my tele-esque guitar is a work of art. I asked for a dual coil that would cover both lespaulesh and teleesh vibe at a coil tap selection. Can't buy something like this in a magazine.

Ted makes some of the best sounding pickups and they always have really cool gear.

Brought in a 63 or 67 Gibson ES-125T for a neck reset and electronic work. It took a few months but they were upfront about how long it would take. Picked it up today and the nice woman at the front said “Now you gotta try it out before you go because the guy who worked on it is here and wants to hear it.” Plugged me into a Fender Deluxe Reverb. I could not contain myself and started to giggle. Super happy with the work, plays amazingly, sounds incredible. Great work, highly recommend!!

Brought my Fender Stratocaster w/ Floyd Rose to Vig Guitars for the first time for restring and set up 2 weeks ago. (Ted has done a number of my guitars with Floyd Rose over the years) I received it back on Saturday and IT PLAYS AMAZING!!! Better than when the Floyd was first installed!!! I am more than impressed!!! Everyone who I encountered working there is awesome!! I can't recommend Vig Guitars enough!!! Thank you Ted and Angie for providing such a quality music store!!!

I came in for a bass setup. They told me 3 weeks, and I said no big deal. Got a call back before then. I walked out with my bass and a new bass amp. Setup was great, and it made a world of a difference. I checked out the price of my amp online, and Vig Guitars offered a competitive price. I felt like I was treated well and fairly as a customer. If the need arises, I would definitely return for their services.

Brought in a Martin 000-15S for a fret dressing and bridge work The tech was very thoughtful in providing the most affordable options of what they could do for the action which was high despite the bridge insert being as low as it could and the neck adjusted fine. Anyhow the guitar came back in a reasonable amount of time with an affordable bridge re-glue and file down. The action was amazing and it sounded and and played much better with ideal intonation. Friendly and responsive when you show up and no attitudes.

Vig's is my go-to guitar shop. Ted, Angie and the staff are amazing. The staff is incredibly knowledgable and helpful. This is the only place I bring my guitars, especially my vintage guitars. Lastly, Vig's Custom Pickups are hands down the best sounding pickups! Highly recommend Vig Guitars!!!
