My wife and I agree that our dinner at Alter in 2020 was the best meal we've ever had, so we had to come back to Miami to try Brad Kilgore's new spot. We ordered a variety of dishes and were not disappointed. The soft egg, which we ordered with the brioche, is still one of the best things we've ever eaten. The heirloom tomato salad was beautiful and delicious; loved the flavor from the pistachios and jalapenos. The burger and fries were perfectly executed. The crab tagliatelle was good, but we could have done without that one. With their key lime pie not currently on the menu, we ordered the baked Florida for dessert, and it was very good. Cocktails and mocktails were also great.

Overall an excellent experience. Now that Miami is getting Michelin stars, Brad Kilgore needs one because his cooking is far more impressive than what we've had at several Michelin starred restaurants.

Mary Gold’s by Chef Brad Kilgore is truly a delight.
Starting off the evening with The Soft Egg, recommended by the Chef himself down to the divine Ribioline Tortellini,
a mouth watering dish that will leave you satisfied. Ending the evening with the Short Rib “Vaca Frita” topped with Yukon Mash complimented by a smooth Coconut, kumquat, old fashion. This restaurant has now become one of my favorite in south Florida. From being greeted, seated and catered to, I highly recommend, you’ll leave wanting more on the menu.

Came here for Valentine's Day and they exceeded our expectations! The prefix couple's menu was delicious. Every course was delicious in its own way and just the right portions. The drinks were also creative and tasty. Would definitely come back here. Service, atmosphere and food were all phenomenal!

Beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I love the decor! The customer service was superb! The food was exquisite. Lots of unique options and full of flavor. The chief came out to greet us after our food was served. The portion sizes were pretty small but packed with flavor. I really enjoyed the short rib. It fell off the bone and was just enough for two. I would definitely go back to try the burger. I saw it at a few tables and it looked delicious!

Really nice place, good vibe, good food, attentive service. Sometimes fine dining puts more emphasis on presentation than exquisite flavors. Yes, we eat first with our eyes, but if the presentation outshines the taste, then that’s not good. Here, I think they struck a good balance, but I felt like it was close to being too presentation-focused (so my plea is to make sure the flavors never take a back seat to the visuals). The only thing I’d rate 4-stars is the emphasis on the craft cocktails…I thought they were good but didn’t quite live up to the hype (I had very high expectations). Give this place a try and you’ll be pleased.

We came in for dinner with a large party and ordered off the Miami Spice menu. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. They had perfect timing between courses and thoughtful cocktail recommendations. (Get the one with tomato and strawberry!) Each dish was beautifully prepared and so good I couldn’t stop eating! I highly recommend!

This place is an absolute foodie gem! The decor, the service, and the staff goes above and beyond to deliver a product that is an experience rather than just a meal. From the oysters, to the savory and filling beignet, and my very favorite the strawberries and cream at the end. My server insisted I get this, and I am so glad I did. The presentation was gorgeous and the taste, 🤤🤤it was a delight.

Marygold, a hidden gem in Miami's Wynwood Arts District, delivered an exceptional culinary experience that exceeded all expectations. Their Miami Spice menu offered a delightful variety and generous portions, setting them apart from other participating venues.

Our waitress, Olesya, enhanced our experience with her professional, attentive service, making our visit memorable. The creative and impeccably crafted cocktails are a must-try for any patron.

From its award-winning Florida brasserie menu to its imaginative cocktail program, Marygold merges cosmopolitan style with a homely charm. This restaurant is a must-visit gastronomic haven in the heart of the city. Highly recommended!

One of the best Miami spice dinners I’ve ever had. The restaurant is inside the Arlo Hotel in the south end of Wynwood. The area is less congested, and more construction currently happening but the space is beautiful nonetheless. We had a great experience, the food was simply delicious, nothing was lacking flavor and the portions for the Miamo Spice menu were very generous. The ambiance was also great, with the perfect dimmed lighting and aesthetically pleasing decor. I would highly recommend!!

Super pretty ambiance. Music is great, but also not so loud that you cannot have a conversation. The drink’s menu is in cooperation with the Broken Shaker, a Miami institution. The Kumquat is a must have, as well as the Pink Peppercorn. So good! Go for the dressed oysters, beignets and the ricotta pillows. Our server Andre was super attentive. Silverware and plates got changed after every course. 5 star service.

Brad and his team have outdone themselves. A true culinary gem, and forsure will be an award winning restaurant in no time. Highlights of the meal was the tortellini with escargot , the steak and the tagliatelle and we can forget the brioche!!!! The wine program was great reasonably price and well curated. we dined during Basel this year and the service was phenomenal we will for sure be back. Congrats chef!

where you come to savor a edible art✨
Located at the Arlo Hotel in Wynwood.
The tasting menu consisted of a delicious Layered Brioche Bun + a beautiful honeycomb butter which was so pretty to look at. It was so delicious, I could order another one just for myself. Stone oven Baked Oysters, Fennel Caesar Salad, Steak Au Pouive, Sashimi and for dessert the KeyLime Pie. Each with it’s own unique presentation and not to mention the Bar Lab team making sure your libations are on point!

Let’s just say, once we start dancing while eating, you know it’s GOOD.

Delightful restaurant inside the Arlo hotel. Elevated 5 star food with superb service. Make reservations in advance because the food is spectacular in this classy chic eatery. We tried the beignets, and the short rib vaca Frita which were scrumptious. The leeks were a great side to share and the Chocolate turtle Fondant was a mouthful of taste & textures. The chef makes you feel like your having a burst of flavors in every bite. Looking forward to date night here again soon.

Date night that delivered a laid back dining experience with Miami's pizzazz minus any feeling of pretentious expectations.

A breeze to find parking within minutes of walking distance of the Arlo was success #1 that evening. We decided to take a drink at the bar before our reservation allowed our easing into the evening as our table became available. Gabriel greeted us with an unspoken confidence in his barcraft, ready to tailor our novel experience at Mary Gold's with one Apricot & Soursop and one IPA, success #2. A few sips later, some banter and then feedback on the perfect pour, we cashed out and our table was ready.

The hostess welcomed us to follow her to a comfy lounge like booth looking out the south facade of twenty plus foot, floor to ceiling windows. Not fifteen feet away was the pass in front of the open kitchen, each station ready side by side to push their meticulous dishes to Chef before the servers delivered table side. The ambiance was still as welcoming as the bar, though we sank deeper into comfort knowing food was next to come.

Our server Josh introduced himself and was considerate of our microcosm "date night" vibe. He brought us welcome drinks as we looked over our options for the evenings culinary adventure. My wife took the Miami Spice route as I opted to hopscotch through a variety of small plate flavor compositions as my main course.

As our first plates arrived at the table, my wife's Wagyu Ravioli + my Fennel Pollen Caesar appeased both our visual appetites but it was the flavor that delivered the first satiating fulfillment; success #3. I took a particular joy in the tartness of buttermilk peppercorn vinaigrette, each pop of trout roe were anticipatory reminders of the love language my palate spoke. The balance of umami, sweetness, sourness and saltiness had set a great precedent for my taste buds. The table is cleared of empty plates and reset with new silverware.

Second plates arrived, my wife's Beignets + my Ribiolina Tortellini. Anticipating Brad Kilgore's rendition of the NOLA mainstay, I didn't miss the confectioners sugar coated bite of golden fried dough, instead I smiled at the deft use of coconut and Gouda to sweeten the savory jerk oxtail. What pleased me even more, was the pistachio and escargot in my tortellini. I offered a fork to my wife to bask alongside me, but she preferred the beignet; success #4.

Next in the lineup was my wife's Short Rib Vaca Frita + my third pasta dish of the evening. I immediately took notice of the crust on the outside of the short rib, but we both agreed that it was the no-knife-needing tenderness that was perfect to sop up the tamarind and maduro flavor on that plate. Then came time for my coup de grace, the Agnolotti... Sweet corn mousse sauteed in 2x brown butter with asparagus in a harmony of tart heat from the sumac and aleppo chili oil.... folks, this was my stairway to heaven. I don't see anything better to eat than something sweet and savory with a light richness and heat. It strummed all the right chords; success #5.

We finished with an espresso and sat back reflective of our success as a "date night", but more importantly, a long overdue novel culinary experience we could share in.

My gratitude and kudos to the team at Mary Gold's for exemplary hospitality from Booth FOH/BOH service. Gabriel and Josh you were spot on. Chef Sergio and your team for flavorful and properly executed dishes. It's not often enough to find myself a free Friday night or from behind the pass, let alone a date night with coverage for the kids to really sit back and enjoy what everyone looks for, an immersive experience. Thank you Chef Kilgore for the memories and inspiration.

With Zest + Enthusiasm,

D.M.

We were a big group. My cocktail was the envy of the table. It was citrusy and red, can’t remember what it was called but delicious! The beignet with oxtail was a revelation for the senses - wow! And my grouper was immersed in such a decadent sauce, so good! Compliments to chef Zev!

A truly wonderful experience, from the time you walk inside the restaurant the hostess and manager, greet you with a warm welcome. Once seated you see the beauty of the restaurant from the beautiful decor, lighting, and cleanness. We were greeted by our server to give us recommendations for the menu and their selection of cocktails, we decided to go for caper berry martini that was mind blowing (the best Martini I’ve had so far). We order a few selections from the Menu, the Beignets are a most to try, the fennel pollen Caesar, the cabbage terrine was perfectly executed, but without a doubt my favorite dish was local Mushrooms.

MaryGold’s Brasserie is the embodiment of what a 5 star restaurant should be.

Chef Brad Kilgore’s congratulations for a masterpiece of a Restaurant.
