Lived over here a year and never knew this gem existed! Very delicious pastries and yummy coffee. The service exceptional down to the proprietor remembering her regular. The atmosphere is wonderful down to the giant map on the wall and sultry music for vibration. Definitely making this a regular Sunday occasion.

I'm fortunate to work nextdoor to Eagle Coffee and Bakery. They have an all-are-welcome breezy vibe, truly outstanding pastries, truck stop portions, and friendly service. I love both their quiche and bacon breakfast burrito! Coffee hits the spot every time.🥰

This is the last place that actually makes a chai tea latte that actually tastes like TEA with a little milk, unlike every place else that seems to think tea needs to be a sugar bomb. I love the people who work here, they are always chatty (in a good way!) and I enjoy genuine conversations with them before I settle in to do work. Food is amazing. I am actually glad I am gluten and dairy free because I would go overboard with what is on display, but there are still plenty of tasty gf / df options. Thanks for keeping it simple, local, and friendly!

We love this coffee shop!!!
We had been there before, but our most recent visit was such a pleasant experience! Sara had a positive attitude, very kind and made our drinks so delicious. We love the atmosphere/decor, and it's a clean, cozy little shop. We will definitely be back and look forward to more tasty coffee when we return!

Among my favorite businesses I have ever reviewed and I review a lot.

A well run. clean, efficient, quality, local coffee shop. The baked goods I have tried have all been top notch. The quiche is among the best I have had anywhere, like generally, like ever. The place smells great as a result of all the fresh baked goods and coffee. The coffee is quality and (importantly) consistent. Prices are in line with most competitors on beverages. Food prices are quite fair, and it's a good spot to get something that is actually made in-house without breaking the bank. They offer keto options in addition to many many traditional baked goods and cafe fare. Perhaps the highlight here is the staff and owner/manager, superior service is actually what makes the place a stand out. This place has the best coffee shop staff in the Treasure Valley hands down. Polite, friendly, funny, and welcoming this place has ZERO pretentiousness. This is a small operation concerned with making it right as opposed to . Oh, and the design aesthetic is cool. Give it a try. They deserve the support. They made me a regular, they'll make you one too.

Very unique coffee house! Many options for vegan and non alike. The atmosphere of this place is not only inviting but serene. Found this wonderful place on a rainy walk to the store! Will definitely be back again and would recommend for a friend!

Hey there! Do you want an informative -and completely unbiased ;) - review of Eagle Cafe and Bakery? If so, you can stop combing through the sea of “great service” and “good coffee” and search no longer. I’m a long-time customer and (in case there was any confusion) an unabashed advocate of Eagle Cafe and Bakery so although I already wrote a review of this place when it was an Alchemist, I thought I’d write another one now that it’s locally owned. So let me tell you how this place has only changed for the better since I wrote a glowing review last year.
The bakery aspect of Eagle Cafe and Bakery has become even more extensive and inclusive since they split off from the Alchemist chain. And while we’re on the topic of food, Hadley’s (the owner) lemon bars are the best thing that’s happened to humanity since Prometheus’s fire. They also have a vast array of vegan options that taste great, unlike the soggy styrofoam so often hawked at places such as these. So far my favorite baked good has been either the carrot cake cupcakes or (wouldn’t you know) the lemon bars.
But we all know it takes more than a good lemon bar (no matter how warm or buttery) to make a cafe a spot of permanent residency. The people there are absolute delights. They are kind and genuine and I don’t believe I’ve seen a fake smile or an eye roll in all my days purchasing coffee (no matter how irritating I must be taking a long time to order and paying with one-dollar bills). I’ve grown to know and love many of the staff and you get the sense talking to them that they enjoy their jobs (quite a rarity, I know). The good-natured atmosphere also rubs off on any who enter, making the whole experience -whether you stay for a few minutes or a few hours- relaxed and pleasant.
Not only is the atmosphere friendly, but it’s also aesthetically and artistically pleasing. Eagle Cafe and Bakery took the aesthetic blueprint from when they were Alchemist and improved it sevenfold. For those who have never been to an Alchemist, it has a dark academia/modern style with a whimsical flare. Every decoration, from the light fixtures to the dark-leafed plants to the mottled countertop and every wooden table, high-backed chair, and antique bottle in between, blends into a cosy yet elegant space for study, conversations, and anything else one would think to do in a coffee shop.
The music choice has changed somewhat since Eagle Cafe and Bakery split, but I still enjoy it thoroughly. I’m no music expert in American 1920s and 30s, but I’ve heard the unmistakable voice of Woody Guthrie many times, and that’s all it takes to keep me satisfied.
I come to Eagle Cafe and Bakery to write my book almost every week and some of my best work has sprung from this coffee shop. I encourage all writers, students, readers, etc, to do any work that needs intense focus here. All of the ceiling tiles are perfectly spaced and won’t distract you.

PS: Yes, I wrote this review while procrastinating on my book.

Got a decaf americano and a chocolate croissant, both delicious. The 2 workers were so friendly and helpful. Nice, cozy atmosphere. Had a couple of gf muffin options.

The place has plenty of seating inside and the barista was awesome. She was working by herself and she was on top of everything. Got a vanilla latte and breakfast burrito which were great

Yummy pastries, tasty coffee.

Would have liked more comfortable seating for 2 people rather than just open table space.

Love this place. It's our newest go-to coffeeshop whenever we visit Boise. I like the classic, welcoming decor.
The Iron Blend coffee roast is awesome. So smooth with none of the unpleasant back notes that many coffees can have. Pastries are house made and fresh. Quiche is a satisfying meal at a great price.
GO, ENJOY.

Love this little hidden gem here in Eagle. The Snickerdoodle Mocha has become an instant favorite and totally love the vegan selection of pastries.

I moved away from Boise but I regularly miss this coffee shop. Enough to write a review months later. Randomly came here and I never went anywhere else after. The coffee was fantastic. Try the quiche, it's unreal. The cinnamon rolls? Chefs kiss. And its a local company! The woman who runs this place is a tremendously lovely person. If you need to find YOUR coffee shop, make it this one.

What a treasure! I had the best breve in this cute little coffee shop last week. It smells so good in there! The pastries are delicious works of home-style art. And it has great energy . The owner Hadley is vibrant and kind. I hope this business thrives in the treasure valley - we are lucky to have it!!

Great place. Very cool atmosphere and very well made coffee and baked goods. Had a great time the day of the grand opening. Lemon bar, chocolate chip cookie, and cinnamon roll were all fantastic. The owner was warm and extremely pleasant to chat with briefly when she had a free moment.
Highly recommended. Yehaw!
