This is greatly improved from when I visited a few years ago. New restrooms made a great difference and the outside and inside are spacious and attractive. Our waitress was top notch. We'll go back again.

I had the mushroom swiss burger with tots. I asked for jalapenos and they was delicious grilled. The coffee was good.

Locking Horns is a great location for a party, a family dinner, or just a quick bite.
Their food is amazing. The ambiance and decor are cozy, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The quality of food and experience is consistently great. Their nachos and burritosand sandwiches are all delicious. There is a fireplace inside, as well as fire pits outside. Occasionally there is live music.
The outdoor dining area is very large, and overlooks the river. You may even see eagles and beaver from the patio.

The Locking Horns Riverside Restaurant is the most inviting place it eat. The staff is always laughing & smiling while providing the best customer service. I’m lucky enough to work at such an amazing restaurant where all my co-workers turned into family. The food is always amazing, and the views are never not breathtaking. Come down and enjoy everything we have to offer. Don’t forget about the Prime Rib on Friday’s & Saturdays. Can’t wait to see you there!

We absolutely love Locking Horns Riverside Restaurant!! The food is delicious and you could never go wrong with ordering the soup of the day. The views are spectacular and the breeze was nice on the patio. My daughter was easily entertained with the connect four and meeting other kids.

If you are looking for a restaurant a little out of town, right next to the river, with great food, Locking Horns Riverside is a great place to go to. The staff is friendly and the food is great. We went about noon so one of us had breakfast and one of us had lunch. There is seating inside and on the patio. It is a peaceful setting for a great meal.

I have stopped in at the Riverside restaurant for many years of motorcycling, camping and car trips, and under a couple different names/owners, but they continue to get better both aesthetically and food wise!
Get the shake, it is always good!

Quite possibly the Best Finger steaks I have ever eaten! They were freshly made with a tender cut of beef. My husband's bacon cheese burger was pretty tasty as well. It is obvious from my last time there, a couple years ago that the place has new ownership due to the in-progress facelifts. (New bathrooms and decor)

We had a large party (11 children & 8 adults), and our waitress Kelly was phenomenal. The food was great, Kelly and the kitchen staff took great care of us and made it a wonderful evening.

Unique off the river diner with a pleasant atmosphere. Great Service and Great Food! Such a Variety of foods to choose from that I had a hard time choosing. Gyro and tots were great! Great place to visit for us out-of-town folks. Will be back when we raft the river close by!

Saw a few articles about this place so we decided to go test it out. In a nutshell the food was surprisingly good. I ordered steak street tacos for an appetizer 3 for 12 bucks. The meat was great tasting a huge dollop of guacamole on top made them taste fantastic however, I'm used to getting these for a few dollars each (no guac) not 4 bucks each. Next was their pizza. I also ordered it as an appetizer. Wow what a surprise. We ordered the combination - 22 bucks. The sauce, garlic, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and cheese was great. I thought that it was light on the peppers and mushrooms but the general flavor and crust was very very good. Surprisingly good. - recommended.
I then ordered the chicken fried steak. ($16) Menu says 8 oz but it seemed huge. I ordered extra white gravy. A Very delicious entre - I highly recommend this one. The Wife ordered the roast beef with au-jus. Not too bad - great au-jus. Personally I would slice the beef thinner and toast the bun. My buddy had the flat iron steak it was a sirloin. It was very good - recommended. His wife had the smokey. She said it was great.
Side note. We had choice if soup or salad with many of our dishes. The soup was a prime rib soup. OMG. That was the best thing we had that night. Unbelievable that a soup could affect us like that. It had the perfect size pieces and amazing flavor.
I had pie with vanilla ice-cream for dessert and my friends had mud pie - which is like an ice cream pie with a dark chocolate gram cracker crust. Both were very good. However, given time I believe they can up their game on the desserts in the future.
The limited dessert options should not deter you from visiting. I'm looking forward to trying their other menu items.

I wish I had an option to make it four and a half stars because five sounds like it's perfect. It was a pretty awesome experience but there were a couple things that fell short. First of all, totally out of control of the restaurant is flies. They even provided a little helicopter type fan that's supposed to scare the flies away. Works pretty well until the food came and then they didn't seem to care. But that's Idaho in August and September. Hard to fault the restaurant.

I ordered prime rib and asked the waiter if should I get rare or medium rare. Didn't want it to come out medium or medium well. He suggested I order medium rare and what came out was medium to medium well. Very tasty but there was only a little bit of pink in the middle.

Service was attentive and pretty dang good.

Love the location on the river, very scenic but I think if I were to go back in the next month, I would sit inside because I don't want to fight the flies again.

This place is absolutely amazing! Surprised is an understatement. You know how places off the beaten path can be good? Well, I'll tell you what, if you come here and eat and you're not satisfied, then I'll pay for your meal (no, I won't pay for your meal). Where do I start? First of all, just come and try for yourself. Second, the outdoor seating on the river, is awesome! Third, the staff is great and accommodating and comparable to southern hospitality. Fourth, the food... dam! Bring an appetite! We started with the wings and the crispiness was perfect, the sauce, thai chili left me wanting to make a meal out of them. The house made ranch dressing was so good I almost asked for a side to dip my fork in(just kidding, but it is that good). Then, we split a double pattied burger that had delicious bacon and ham on it. What a great experience. Thank you guys. We will definitely be back.

I stop here at least once or twice a month while traveling to/from work. I've never had a bad experience here. From the food to the service, everything is top notch. Last time I was here the waitress used me as a guinea pig for a Yak burger that was absolutely delicious. I can't say much about the menu other than the burgers are always amazing.

This place is one of my favorites. A bit out of the way to just visit randomly, but they do a great job with the food, service and have an awesome outdoor space. They capitalize on the travelers though, so keep that in mind when there on busy Camping weekends. Not a ton of parking, and there can be a wait, but they'll greet you with a smile...just be patient

Haven’t been in for a while, decided to stop in with my two boys. Friendly service, food was delivered quick and outdoor games for everyone to enjoy. Great views along the Payette River!

The huckleberry margarita is to die for and they have a fantastic food menu. Fish and chips are one of the best I've had but the combos tacos were pretty sad. All in all, I'm glad we stopped by and look forward in coming back when we visit again.
