Lechuza Beach

Great place right at the beach but not for the sunrise as some people commented on other social media, totally not recommended for watch the sunrise. Good for watching some shore birds.

Scenic and secluded beach that’s not bombarded with too many people. Beautiful neighborhood and easy parking. However, there was a security guard patrolling the beach and attempting to delegate private/public areas. As well as, residents may become annoyed. However, I’d like to remind them that beach property is maintained and belongs to the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority.

I unexpectedly went on my first date here. We had a picnic and watched sunset. Very relaxing place to nap as well.

Love this beach! Only downfall is there’s no public bathrooms or lifeguards on duty. Also, if you have any physical impairments there’s only a staircase to access the beach at this locale. And if you do decide to trek down, be careful as the staircase can be a little slippery at times.

New favorite beach. Beautiful, clean, quiet. Easy to get to and free, safe parking.

My personal favourite beach in all of Southern California. Typically only known to locals, this beach is a bit tricky to access, but it is stunningly beautiful!

This beach is excellent! Feels very private and secluded from the road and highway. There is a staircase to go down to the beach from the road, and it’s really beautiful and relaxing.

Absolutely exquisite beach with sand rocks tide pools and incredible calmness and beauty!
Parking is located on residential with respect easy to travel down the path and two staircases to the sand.

Great public beach...not crowded. One of the best in Malibu. Sand is soft and views are amazing. Stay for sunset.

We came here during the sunset. The rock formations were amazing along with the waves. Nice romantic place to just sit and watch the sun go down.

One of the best kept secrets in Malibu. Escape the crowd at this nearly private beach with beautiful rock formations. Park in the neighborhood making sure you don't block the residents or damage their landscaping. Walk through a public beach gate access.

Scenic Beach off the beaten path. Pros include beautiful, rocky surf. Cons include no bath facilities, parking or life guards.

Beautiful private little neighborhood beach

There are three public access points to the beach and can be found by googling “MRCA” and “Lechuza Beach access points.” Dogs aren’t allowed. Have fun—it’s beautiful!

As of July 10, 2023, on the news, Malibu officials are trying to keep this beach private by taking down public signs. I hope you guys find it and enjoy this public beach.

One of the best spots to swim in Malibu! Parking is easy and free, there's rocks to climb and it's pretty private.
