Starbucks

Every time I am in this Starbucks I want to cry due to the kindness of the staff. They treat everyone with the same amount of respect whether they are wearing a suit or wearing the same outfit from the last 5 days. I love hearing the conversations staff have with "the least of these." They get excited when the homeless regular finally gets into housing. They bring the blind man's coffee to him and guide him outside so he can wait for his ride, they are kind to the homeless man that stashes his belongings right outside the door so he can quickly get warm. Everytime I sit down for a cup of coffee, I look forward to the kindness the employees show to others. I feel safe here. I get excited to be here.

To whomever is managing this Starbucks, you've created a wonderful culture. Keep it up.

When I come and visit Vancouver, I like stopping in here to grab my tall vanilla chai with soy milk. Then I usually cross the street and sit in the park to enjoy my drink. The employees are very friendly and nice. I will definitely come back.

This is my local neighborhood Starbucks,
The whole staff is friendly,
They always have fun jokes, quotes or little facts on the blackboards,
And some lovely little creative soul puts stickers on the cups occasionally, which is fun and brightens up my day. Small little details are my favorite and it’s adds the individualism to the particular Starbucks, I can get a white chocolate mocha any Starbucks, it’ll likely taste the same, but on 8th street, it comes with a butterfly sticker 🦋

Such a phenomenal community business! The staff has always been the best and most caring staff that I have ever met at a franchise. They have always treated me with kindness and generosity. Very prompt service too! I would definitely recommend this location to my friends and family!

I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks, but this is probably the best location I've been to. Great, accessible area when you're in downtown Vancouver. Big café space. Friendly and talkative employees who communicate with you to make sure that your drink is made correctly, even during times of extreme heat. When I'm craving a quick cup of caffeine at work, I'll be sure to stop by again.

The barista there was super nice to my kids. The store was clean and welcoming to everyone. It’s 105 outside today and they have a water station for anyone who needs it. The whole team deserves a raise. C’mon Howie, make it happen man.

We got there on a quiet Saturday morning. Friendly staff and efficient on our order, perfect location to do a morning walk on the park with your coffee.

Barista we walked into was probably one of the most friendly people I've ever encountered. Was super nice and helpful when trying to purchase items before I hopped on a plane back to Arizona. Definitely would go back just to experience the wonderful atmosphere and helpful staff.

Staff is amazing here, super friendly and fun. They definitely know how to do their job as well because I was able to order my drink and it was perfect! It wasn’t too sweet or flavorless like most Starbucks are.

Service was excellent! Was not fond of male server behind Counter with long hair and it was not pulled back. He kept touching it and the helped customers. As a manager at a food establishment, this is a huge no go.

Very friendly staff and made me feel welcome. This is a perfect location to order because it's not that busy and also my iced coffee was amazing compared to other Starbucks I've been to. Their service was also very fast and on point.

I rated this store as five stars for it’s staff. They make you feel home by the quality of service and friendliness. Also, I admire them and Starbucks in general for the way they deal with the homelessness “Crisis”. This place in Downtown, homeless people hang out close to the location, they buy coffee.
It’s tough to maintain a balance between keeping the customer safe and comfortable and still being compassionate with transients. Definitely better than Black Rock coffee, better coffee, better trained employees, and more compassionate staff.

Nice location being downtown. The ladies that work here really have a heart. They appeared to have a homeless guy coming in every day, he was welcomed as warmly as anyone. When i bought my drink she didnt tell me to have a "nice" day. She actually said awesome. And that folks, is awesome.

To the girl who asked if it was okay that she put my drink in a venti cup because she added extra sweet cream foam....of course it was okay, and I offer you my hand in marriage in return.

Great staff, wonderful atmosphere, I come here almost every morning before work, or after the gym. They remember my name, my drink, and always have a smile. It's genuinely a pleasure every time i come in, never a bad experience.

Best Starbucks in the area. Super fast, ultrafriendly. I like Starbucks overall, but these guys are the best.

Good baristas, good service. Lots of room in this store. Toilets have a code that is easily asked for from the staff. Right on Esther Short Park and a great stopping point before going to the one-block-away Farmers' Market (in the summer/fall). Plenty of parking, often, right out front.

I like it there, I found this cool girl with a squirrel it's so amazing to watch her and the squirrel, even I tried to feed it alone, squirrel would never come to me.. and the girl got out, the squirrel come right to her... HOW COOL WAS THAT AND THE SQUIRREL IS SMART... I know her face but I don't know her name. She comes here almost everyday I think. Starbucks got some cool animals here and cool people!!

Super friendly staff make this place stand out. Feels more like a neighborhood coffee shop than an international chain. It's a Starbucks so the menu is well known.
