This place is truly a gem. It is so nice to see diners like this still around with a lot of interesting history. They have a great selection of food. They serve breakfast all day. Their food is so good! We tried a little of everything we wanted to try, and it all tasted great. Their pancakes are really big and good and their hot chocolate is really tasty. We tried the chili fries and chili burgers too, and my, were they good! Prices are very good too for the portions. Will definitely be back.

Great little breakfast place we stumbled upon while visiting the area. Had a nice hearty breakfast.

Looking for a piece of “old Vancouver” and a solid affordable, homestyle breakfast? Look no further than Joe Brown’s! Walking in is like stepping back in to the 1950s, complete with super experienced waitstaff that call you “hon” or “dear.” It’s always packed, so get there early if you don’t want to wait in line. The menu is pretty much straight up American fare with reasonable prices for large, well prepared food. Eggs are cooked just the way you want them. They have omelettes, pancakes, waffles, hash browns, bottomless coffee and it just feels warm and cozy. A Vancouver tradition and a must go to breakfast spot. I have only eaten breakfast there, but I seem to remember lunch items too and a kids menu, maybe. Anyway, eat there! Support a wonderful, local part of Vancouver history!

We found this Cafe on our way to the markets down by the park when we moved to Washougal. The breakfasts are good and the wait is always short. The cafe is small and old but it takes you back to when there were small cafes like this on many streets of the town. The people that work there are very friendly and most have been there for years. They have a lot of take out..during the summer, they have some outside seating for people who have dogs. We have had several things on the menu for breakfast but have not had any lunch items..the chicken fried steak is worth mentioning.. the plates are big and so is the food served on them. I recommend trying this place if you like the regular breakfast..

Friendly place, made really welcome even at 07:00am. Fairly standard old school American diner, Corned Beef Hash, Eggs any way, Hash Browns, all home made. Regular top-ups of coffee. Great value too👍

Driving on I-5? Stop here for breakfast! Just a few blocks off the freeway, easy parking. We liked the generous portions, real sausage gravy and crispy corned beef hash. A genuine old-time diner, good food, great service.

This is a classic all-American diner. The hash browns are homemade. You must get the sausage patties! No grocery store frozen sausage here. It was juicy and delicious. My pancake was the size of my plate! I crossed state lines to eat here and would do it again!

Food was delicious. Staff was very nice and attentive. Seemed to take a little long to get our drinks and food. The building is obviously quite old, so it seemed a little "dingy" but I guess that is to be expected at such a long standing restaurant. I have eaten here several times in the past and will probably eat here several more times in the future.

Walked to the diner easily from our hotel. The food was really good and super fresh. We weren’t expecting the portions to be so big. We couldn’t finish (and it was so good we tried). Would go regularly if Vancouver was home.

Great customer service, everyone was friendly and so nice to see smiles. The environment and menu reminded me of "Tasty Crust" back home in Maui. But most importantly, the food was amazing. Country breakfast definitely hit the spot, NY steak breakfast special was perfect, and the kids loved their cheese burger and fries (surpised me they ate it all). First time at Joe Brown's Cafe and recommend everyone go try them out you won't be disappointed.

Convenient at 7 a.m. I don't know if there other res opens at this hr. But anyways the breakfast was so delicious that I barely walked straight when I came out. I ate a huge chunk - 1 huge pancake with syrup, with 2 easy rare eggs, one big sausage patty and coffee for $14.77. It worth the deniro

Amazing omelette! Fast service. They had an influx of regulars that were treated very well … reminded me of Cheers (where everybody knows your name).

It is very, very small. So be prepared to wait. And if you get a table in the middle, then be prepared to eat with zero elbow room.

The service was very personal. There’s a lot of history in this building. I think I read that this was the oldest restaurant in downtown Vancouver (established 1932).

Joe Brown’s Cafe is a 5 star breakfast restaurant in downtown Vancouver WA. Yeah it is a small town restaurant, but they have good food, a fun atmosphere, make food in front of you, and Joe’s has really friendly team members.

Greeted by the very friendly staff who directed us to a booth, me and one of my friends had the Farmer's Skillet which was utterly delicious, no extra seasoning required and for a great price. Definately recommend and will be coming back when I can.

Absolutely love this place. Definitely get the sausage patty. Everyone is friendly. Be patient with the service. Sometimes it’s slow but they always treat you right. Great staff. If you want a good ol’ fashioned, fill you up breakfast, this is 100% the place to go. Portions are huge. A pancake is the size of the whole plate. So be ready.
