I took my wife here for our anniversary based on a recommendation from her Doctor and I am not disappointed that we chose to come. We made reservations in advance and when we arrived were seated immediately. I would say it was be best for you to make reservations if you hate waiting for a table.

The building has a great atmosphere to it that feels down home and friendly. The staff were amazing and friendly for our entire meal especially our server ,Violet, who was always sure to check and make sure our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed for our meal.

My wife and I both ordered the bacon wrapped steak with a Caesar salad and loaded baked potato. We also ordered a side of fried mozzarella as our appetizer. The food was amazing and the portions were perfect. In fact I would say we did not even need the appetizer between the entree itself and the "croutons" they gave us.

For those that are used to the small hard croutons at other restaurants, these are not those. These croutons are more likened to garlic bread than standard small croutons. All of that to say that they were delicious and we found ourselves having to stop chowing down on them to save room for our main course.

I would highly recommend coming out and giving them a try.

I enjoyed my time here. Salmon was seasoned well and very delicious. Okra needed a bit of seasoning. My husband's onion rings were oily. OMG, their croutons are to die for. You'll want to take a few baskets home. The drinks were good. We had a margarita and island breeze. Overall, everything was great! We'll definitely be back!!!

My family and I recently enjoyed a delightful dinner at the Side Porch, and overall, our experience was quite satisfying. The restaurant's ambiance was cozy, providing a perfect setting for a family meal. While the steak's marinade might be a matter of personal preference, the croutons served as a delightful surprise that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. We look forward to returning and exploring more of what this charming restaurant has to offer.

The best steakhouse you can eat at in the midsouth area. My husband and I love going here for our date nights and the food is mouth-watering. We have had just about everything on their menu and nothing comes up short of amazing. They have seasonal alcoholic beverages and their famous croutons are a perfect appetizer before digging into a savory steak, chicken breast, or various seafood option. They also have a covered outside patio when the weather is nice. If you are in the area - make a reservation and eat local!

Steaks and chicken always cooked perfectly. Service is attentive. Delicious desserts. My favorite steakhouse since the 1970's!

Great environment to have a date. I made a reservation for my wife and I and was seated almost instantly upon our arrival for the time slotted. Only reason for a 4 star on food is because my steak was not seasoned at all this time around, which is why I have A-1 Sauce on the steak in the pic. Outside of that, everything else was great.

Came from Louisiana to visit Memphis and wanted something local and unique and we hit the jackpot with this little gem! Thanks to local references in a Memphis restaurant review group we had the most delicious meal tonight! They give you very generous portions and the complementary bread is fresh and addictive! Karlie was a wonderful server. Very attentive and sweet! If we come back up this way we will definitely be back!

Had a great meal and great service. Daves chicken was so good and broccoli cooked and seasoned to perfection! But those croutons…😋

Went here for Valentines day dinner. It was packed, but they were bussing tables as soon as parties got up. The steaks were awesome and the service was great. Our waitress was very attentive to us and made sure we were always topped off. I will definitely be going back.

We love coming here for date night. Food and service is always excellent. I love the atmosphere as well. It’s a nice, quiet restaurant that doesn’t feel overly crowded.

The food, service and atmosphere of this establishment is great... ordered the 8oz filet with shrimp and it was cooked perfectly needing no sauce!! Highly recommend...

The food was amazing, the staff were so kind, and the restaurant is so beautiful and clean. Everyone in our large party enjoyed their food, no complaints! The steaks were tender, the salmon and shrimp were delicious, and my kids enjoyed their chicken. I highly recommend!

First time there, I had the Porterhouse/steamed broccoli and my wife had the ribeye/loaded baked potatoe. We also had the fried mushrooms as an appetizer. Both of us enjoyed the meal. Service was fast and friendly. Will be visiting again very soon.

Side Porch is one of my absolute favorite gems in our area. Service is always excellent and the food is even better! This is the one place that I can order an rare steak and I never have to say "and I mean rare, rare!" lol. They always get it right!

Food and service are always excellent. However , it is also too cold there. Winter or summer ! We asked our server to see if the air could be changed to warmer and she said yes. But we shivered throughout our meal even with our outdoor coats on !

Great steaks. House made blue cheese dressing. Great prices. Update: Visited restaurant under new management for son's birthday. The renovated place looks good with fresh paint and floors. Owners attentive, making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying their food. My son's filet was raw, rather than medium rare, and they fixed the steak right away, along with the fries that were still undercooked, as well. He reported that his shrimp was rubbery. My husband's steak, the porterhouse, and my strip (half of which went home with me) were cooked perfectly medium rare, baked potatoes hot and fluffy, salads good with house made dressing. The new management is off to a great start in keeping the tradition alive for this Bartlett institution. I even thought their crouton basket was better than the previous menu item.

ALWAYS an enjoyable experience! Our go to for our anniversary & birthday dinners. Perfect EVERY time. We also appreciate the kindness and patience of the service staff with our son who has sensory issues.

So worth it! Haven't been here in 14 years, and it's still just as good.

Kat, our waitress was just too sweet. :) My steak was perfectly cooked, and melted like butter. You are not getting a $12 steak here. The quality of the meat is on par if not better than places that charge $20 more for the same cut.

Pros: Good steaks, small menu but plenty of selections, super friendly staff, cozy, down home atmosphere.

Cons: I can't think of any right now, I'm too satisfied.
